On the train to Ba Sing Se, Katara looked out the window in excitement. "Look, the inner wall! I can't believe we finally made it to Ba Sing Se in one piece!"
"Hey, don't jinx it!" Sokka said, "We can still be attacked by some exploding giant Fire Nation spoon! Or find the city's been submerged in killer shrimp!"
"Have you been hitting the cactus juice again?" Toph asked.
"I'm just saying, weird stuff happens to us,"
At that moment, a fat man sucking a corn cob sat between Toph and Sokka.
Aang looked out the window, sighing.
"What's wrong?" Natasha asked.
"Ba Sing Se is a huge city," Aang said, "How will we ever find Appa?"
"Oh, come on! He's a giant fluffy monster, how hard can it be?" Sokka said.
When they saw the huge city, Sokka said, "Oh," in realization that it would be hard to find Appa.
Because of their victory in the battle of the drill, they were allowed to stay inside the city. Their tour guide, Joo Dee, annoyed the heck out of Natasha.
Once in their house in the upper ring, Natasha said, "Does anyone else find Joo Dee annoying?"
"Twinklette, city life is annoying. Too many walls and rules." Toph said, picking her toenails on the floor.
"For a while, I LIVED in Ba Sing Se! Don't think I don't know that!" Natasha said, sitting down on the floor.
"When did you live in Ba Sing Se?" Aang asked.
"From twelve to sixteen,"
"Oh,"
"Look!" Katara said, holding up a sign. "The king is having party tonight for his pet bear!"
"Don't you mean platypus-bear?" Aang asked.
"No, it just says bear,"
"Certainly you mean his pet skunk-bear?" Sokka said.
"Or armadillo bear," Toph said.
"Gopher bear?" Aang threw in.
"Just... bear," Katara said.
"This place... is weird," Toph said.
"The palace will be packed! We can sneak in with the crowd!" Katara said.
"Won't work," Toph said.
"What do you mean?"
"Well, no offense to you 'simple country folk', but in a real society crowd, you'd be spotted in no time! You've got no manners!"
"Excuse me? You're not exactly 'lady fancy fingers'!" Katara said.
"I learned of society life and chose to leave it! You've learned nothing, and it's too late now!"
"Aha, but you've learned it! You can teach us!" Sokka said.
"I'm mastering all four elements! How hard could manners be?" Aang grabbed a curtain and wore it like a noble's robe. "Good evening Mr. Sokka Water Tribe, Ms. Katara Water Tribe, Ms. Natasha Air Nomad, Lord Momo of the Momo Dynasty, your Momo-ness."
Sokka stood, also wearing a curtain. "Avatar Aang, how do you do? Go on,"
Aang bowed. Then Sokka bowed. They both tried to outdo each other's bows until they hit each other in the forehead.
"I think Katara could do it, but you guys would be lucky to pass as bus-boys," Toph said.
"Excuse me?" Natasha said, "You sayin' I don't got no manners?"
"That and grammar," Toph smiled.
Later that evening, Aang and Natasha were playing Water Earth Fire Air (like Rock Paper Scissors).
"Fire!" Aang called out.
"Water!" Natasha said, moving her hand in a flowing motion.
"Argh!" Aang fell to his knees. Natasha danced in victory.
Katara and Toph came in, wearing fancy Earth Kingdom dresses and make-up.
"Wow, you look beautiful," Aang said.
Katara was about to respond when Toph said, "Don't speak to commoners. First rule when it comes to high society life."
"You guys have fun at that party," Natasha said, pulling on a dark cloak.
"Where are you going?" Aang asked.
"Out and about. I wanna see what's changed."
"Okay," Aang said, "Meet us back here, okay?"
"What do you think I'm gonna do? Leave?" Natasha smirked.
o.O.o
Natasha wandered the streets of Ba Sing Se. Her face barely peaked out from under the hood of her dark cloak.
"Jet, you're obsessing over this. It's unhealthy," said the familiar voice of Smellerbee.
Natasha suddenly remembered this episode and sat down in the tea shop, watching intently.
"I'm tired of waiting!" Jet said, pointing at Zuko and Iroh, "Those two are Firebenders!"
Natasha observed the scene, watching as Jet and Zuko fought. Natasha kept her head down, looking up occasionally to see the fighting.
A Dai Lee agent came onto the scene. "Drop your weapons."
Zuko lowered his sword, while Jet pointed at Zuko and Iroh. "Arrest them! They're Firebenders,"
"This young boy wrecked my tea shop, and assaulted my employees!" said Pao, the owner of the tea shop.
In the end, Jet was arrested. Natasha slowly backed away, and started walking until someone said, "Hey."
"Huh?" Natasha turned around.
"Natasha?" It was Longshot.
"Oh," Natasha said, "Um..."
"What are you doing here?" Smellerbee asked.
"Uh..."
"Are all of you here?"
"Okay, look," Natasha said, "We're here to try to find Appa, and I'm just trying to take in the surroundings, okay? Is that such a problem?" Natasha walked away as fast as she could.
Back at the house, Natasha laid on the floor, trying to rearrange herself. Knowing it wouldn't be long before she'd see him again, she allowed herself to dream of him again.
A/N: Okay, someone asked a question that I must answer for all of you:
from aamichel2000 (change your username, it's too revealing): "Wait, if she was from that world originally, how did she get to ours?! And why isn't she telling Aang about our world?! I NEED ANSWERS!"
Okay, answer: I'm kind of into science fiction stuff, so this might not make any sense. She is from our world originally, but when she crossed into their world, the turn of events was altered so that Natasha was included in stuff. In other words, when someone goes into a parallel universe they're not a part of, the past sort of changes so that Natasha isn't just appearing out of thin air. If Natasha was not there, Aang and everyone else wouldn't know about her. And somewhere near the end, she tells... I won't spoil it, sorry :) Anyway, aamichel, did that answer your question?
Once again, love y'all! Byeee!
