"Natasha! Toph! Aren't you going to get ready for the day?" Katara yelled.

Natasha snickered. "Nope," she said.

"I'm ready," said Toph.

"You've got a little dirt on your... everywhere, actually."

While the conversation went on, Natasha tried to catch up on lost sleep from the previous night. She had the same nightmare over and over that night. Something was going to happen. Something bad.

"Natasha! You going to get ready?"

She sat up. "I don't have to get ready. My hair is basically the same every day."

"Actually, it has grown," Katara said.

"Oh, come on! No it-" She looked at a strand of her hair and watched it barely touch her shoulder. "Dang. My hair grew fast."

"How about a girls' day out?" Katara said.

"Do I haaaaaave toooo?" Toph whined.

"It'll be fun!"

Natasha and Katara enjoyed the pampering at the Fancy Lady Day Spa, while Toph didn't really like it. But at the end of the day, they walked out of there feeling good.

"Well, that wasn't so bad. I don't usually do that sort of thing, but now I actually feel... girly," Toph said.

Katara looked over at Natasha. "How about you, Tasha?"

"I hate makeup," Natasha said, "What if I need to rub my eyes? Or eat? Or what if something makes me cry? A lot of things can go wrong with-"

"Nice makeup!" A girl with an umbrella said.

"Um... thanks...?"

"For a clown!" The three girls laughed.

Natasha bent an air blast at their faces. "And that, ladies," she said, "is what most girls look like without mascara." She motioned to the three girls' faces as if presenting something.

Katara giggled.

"You know," Toph said, "that was funny. You know what also is?" She Earthbent the ground beneath the three other girls so they landed in the water. "Now THAT was funny."

Katara Waterbent the girls down the stream.

They laughed for a little bit, then Katara said, "They don't know what they're talking about,"

"One of the good things about being blind is that I've never had to worry about appearances." Toph said. "I don't care what I look like, and I'm not looking for anyone's approval."

o.O.o

When the sun began to set, Natasha sat on the floor cross-legged, trying to meditate.

"Natasha?"

"Ah!" Natasha jumped and turned around. "Aang?"

"Are you meditating?"

"What do you think?"

Aang sat a few feet away from her. "Don't slouch so much. It's better when you're sitting up straight."

"Um," she straightened her back. "Okay."

She closed her eyes for what seemed like hours. Suddenly, she opened them again.

"I've been meaning to ask, what the purpose of medi—AAH!" She looked at Aang, then looked at herself.

She was outside her body.

"This—this—this," Natasha shook her head. "How am I—what?"

She looked around. "Aang! Can you hear me?"

He sat silently.

"Okay," Natasha looked around. She walked toward Katara's room. "Katara?"

She didn't hear her, either.

"This is freaky…" Natasha said.

"Natasha," Aang said to her uninhabited body. "How do you feel?"

"Confused, flabbergasted, and downright WHAT!"

Natasha's body remained silent.

"Hmm," Aang stood up and went to his room.

What? I'm outside my body and THAT'S what you do?!

Natasha went back into her body. She opened her eyes and said, "Aang."

Aang turned around. "How did that feel?"

"Um, well, I'm not sure if it's normal to go outside your body during those—?"

"You did what?"

"Uhh…"

"You went outside your body? Like a spirit?"

"I didn't mean to—"

"Natasha, that's an advanced Airbender move. Only one out of a hundred Airbenders can do that! But… you don't even know basic moves! How are you—"

"What's going on?" Katara said, coming out of her room.

"Well, I was meditating and I kind of went outside my body and—"

"Huh?" Katara said.

Sokka and Toph came out of their rooms.

"What was it like?" Aang said.

"Well," Natasha said, "I felt kind of… weightless, I guess. And no one could see me."

Sokka stepped forward. "So, you can use the 'spiritual energy' to locate someone you're connected with, right?"

Aang nodded.

"Well," Sokka looked at Natasha. "That's how we're going to find Appa."
