A/N: Alright, guys… I'm planning to get all the way through "Crossroads of Destiny" in here so… it's gonna be long. Also, since I'm writing this while I have no internet, I can't look at transcripts. So I'll either omit some unimportant parts or do my best with the dialogue. :/ Alright, enjoy!

I couldn't do it… Natasha thought. I couldn't save Jet… even though I tried, I couldn't!

"Natasha?" Aang said, "Are you okay?"

At that point, they had gotten Appa back and they were on the island in the middle of Lake Laogai.

"I'm fine," Natasha said, wiping part of her bangs away from her face.

"Lying," Toph said.

"Shut it," Natasha said. She turned to Aang. "We should probably get going. They could find us any minute."

They got on Appa's back. Natasha saw that the saddle was gone and thought, I totally forgot about this part.

"Yip, yip!" Aang said.

As they flew through the air, Natasha gripped to Appa's fur so she didn't fly off.

"There it is!" Natasha said, pointing at the Earth King's palace below them.

They landed, and almost immediately, they were attacked by Dai Li agents.

Natasha Airbent as she fought with the Dai Li agents.

When they got into the palace, they were met with more Dai Li agents and Long Feng.

"Oh. You again." Natasha said.

The Dai Li agents Earthbent rocks to use as handcuffs for Team Avatar.

"Listen," Natasha said. She and the rest of the Gaang explained the Day of Black Sun and the need for an Earth Kingdom army there.

"War?" the Earth King said, "There's no war… what are you talking about?"

"The one with the Fire Nation… it's been going on for a hundred years…" Katara said.

"I'm… I'm surprised you don't know about it, sir," Natasha said.

"They're just making it up," Long Feng said, "Don't listen to them."

"We're not making anything up!" Natasha said, "We can show you what they tried to do… with the drill…"

They finally convinced the Earth King to go with them on Appa to see the drill. When they saw the drill, the Earth King gasped.

"This is…" The Earth King was genuinely surprised.

"It's terrible," Natasha said, "I know,"

Once on top of the wall, Long Feng was arrested.

"Hey!" Sokka said, "Looks like Long Feng is long gone!" He laughed. "Ah, I've been waiting to use that one,"

Natasha smiled at the corny joke.

"We've got a few Kyoshi Warriors coming in soon," an Earth Kingdom official said.

Sokka raised his eyebrows. "Suki!"

They were also made aware of the guru who could teach Aang to master the Avatar State, and Toph's mother coming to visit her.

"I'm gonna stay here with Katara," Natasha said, "Aang needs his focus while mastering the Avatar State so… I'll just help with battle plans."

Aang left to see the guru, while Toph went into the city to find her mother (which would just turn out to be a trap, but she needed to learn metal bending somehow).

Katara and Natasha stayed and helped with battle plans.

Natasha was walking around the palace grounds when she heard something.

It's happening.

Just then, the chains flew and grabbed her wrists.

Well, isn't this wonderful…

"Just a small town girl," Natasha sang, "Living in a LONELY WOOOORLD…"

Someone in the cell next to hers banged on the wall. "Shut up! I've been listening to you sing for five hours! Very unpleasant!"

"Hey!" Natasha yelled at the top of her lungs. "This guy doesn't like my singing!"

Silence followed.

"See?" she said, "No one cares."

The guy in the cell next to hers groaned.

Natasha continued singing. "Cuz the players gonna play play play play play and the haters gonna hate hate hate hate hate…"

Meanwhile, Katara was in the Crystal Cavern looking for a way out.

"Psst," someone said, "PSST!"

"Who's there?" Katara said.

At first, the guy looked just like a regular Dai Li agent.

"What do you want?" Katara said.

"I'm not really a Dai Li agent," he quickly said. He removed his hat and hood and shook his blond hair out of his face.

"Who are you?" Katara said, still suspicious.

"My name is Matthew," he said, swiping his blond hair out of his face. "Look, I've been in disguise as a Dai Li agent for a while now, and I heard the Avatar and his friends were in the city—"

"Why do you care, anyway?" Katara said.

"I'm not finished," he said, "As I was saying, I heard the Avatar and his friends were in the city and Natasha was with them…"

Katara raised an eyebrow. "How do you know Natasha?"

"I'm…" Matthew looked into the distance. "I'm an old friend."

Katara was extremely confused. "She was captured by a few Dai Li agents and she's in the actual prison I think…" Katara quickly shook her head. "Wait. How do I know I can trust you?"

"Because," Matthew said, "I'm gonna get her back for you. And possibly—"

At that moment, Zuko was thrown into the Crystal Cavern as well.

"You go," Katara said, "I'll handle Zuko."

o.O.o

"I think I'd have a heart ataaaaaAAAAAACK! I think I'd have a heart—"

The metal door to Natasha's prison cell crunched and broke.

"Come on, Twinklette," Toph said, "We've been listening to your singing long enough."

Natasha followed Toph, the Earth King, and Sokka out of the prison.

Once outside, Natasha looked around. "Looks clear," she said.

Suddenly, the pressure of a rock hit her in the head, throwing her against a wall.

"Ugh," Natasha said.

"Natasha!" Sokka said.

"Go!" Natasha yelled, "I got this!"

Sokka hesitated, then they left to find the Earth King's pet bear, Bosco.

"My head," Natasha groaned, then got to her feet.

Several Dai Li agents stood there, ready to attack.

Natasha threw a blast of air at them, just for one of them to counter attack with a boulder. It threw her back against the wall.

My hands, she thought, trying to look at her hands. I… can't see them… I can't see anything…

As Natasha attempted to stand, she felt something penetrate the center of her torso.

She shrieked. Along with the loss of vision, the pain of whatever had just impaled her was unbearable.

She fell to the ground, wrapping her arms around herself.

Natasha reached her arm out. "Help," she squeaked, "help…"

She became unconscious.

o.O.o

"Has anyone seen Natasha?" Katara asked as she set Aang's unconscious body onto Appa.

"I don't know," Sokka said, panicked.

"Over here!" someone yelled.

Matthew, the guy Katara met earlier in the Crystal Cavern, came running up to them with Natasha's body in his arms. "I found her like this… I don't know how long she's gonna last…"

Katara looked at him. "Thank you… um… Matthew."

Matthew nodded. "I… kind of need a way out of here…"

"We don't even know this guy!" Sokka said.

"Come on," Katara said, "It's the least I could do after saving Natasha."
