When they found Aang on Crescent Island, Natasha stayed as far away from Matthew as she could.

Which was hard, because Matthew kept trying to talk to her.

They spent the night in a cave.

"So…" Aang said, pointing at Matthew and Natasha. "They used to…?"

"Yep," Sokka said, "And from what I could tell, it ended pretty badly…"

"What exactly happened?"

"Who knows?" Sokka shrugged his shoulders. "He dumped her for someone else? Just a guess. Or maybe he cheated."

Aang stood up. "I'm gonna ask him."

Matthew was lying on the ground when Aang approached him.

"Matthew?" he said.

"Just call me Matt if you want," Matthew said.

"Okay, Matt. Um, I was just wondering… what exactly happened between you and Tasha?"

"I was stupid," Matt said. "There was another girl, and I dumped Natasha to be with her and… I don't know why I did that, I was just… you know, stupid."

Aang nodded. "That's all I was wondering. Thanks."

"I had a question," Matt said.

"Yeah?" Aang said.

"Is there anything going on between you and…?"

"No, no, no," Aang said, "That would be gross. She's my sister."

"Your—? Oh,"

"Yeah," Aang shrugged. "Well, nice talking to you."

"Yeah," Matthew said.
