I glared murderously at Luke as he smiled a creepy smug smile, "Annabeth, Annabeth, Annabeth." He chided, "You shouldn't have got involved with your new boyfriend." He said venomously. He circled me and stroked my cheek and hair, a thing I would have been fine with if he wasn't the one who knocked Thalia and I out at gunpoint and with a gun. I spat in his face when he crouched in front of me, after struggling to get his cold hands away from me, he wiped it off and grabbed my jaw, "Do that again and I'll break your jaw." He seethed through gritted teeth. I tried not to show my fear towards him, but he got the message as he smirked, patted my head once, then Thalia's then left. We were left wallowing in fear as we waited in the ever growing darkness. I found myself muttering words that confirmed my Love for one man,
"Please save us Percy."
Percy's POV
The drive to D.C was long, even with the sirens on as well as the police escort, but we soon arrived at about 3am at our destination. We were parked a couple of blocks down from the old 'tea factory' that obviously doesn't sell tea, but imports drugs, guns and money. Nico and I walked over to the back of the front of the mustang, and opened the bonnet. We took out the needed equipment, bullet proof vests, silenced M4 carbines with night vision optical sights and flash bang and smoke grenades. We loaded our guns and scoped out the factory using the thermal imagery camera. "I see two guys on the roof packing what seems to be a silenced W2000, three guarding the entrance with AK47's and one scoping from a window on the third floor with an open barrelled Barrett 50. cal." Nico mumbled to me over the radio from where he was situated on the roof of an abandoned apartment block, a couple of blocks down.
"On three take out the two on the roof, I got the one on the left, you take the right." I ordered. I set the guns fire rate to single shot. "One. Two. Three." There was little to know sound apart from a little clack noise, and the sound of metal hitting the floor as we took the two on the roof. I shot the one in the window of the third floor, again the sound of a clack and metal hitting the floor was heard as the man was taken out, and fell off the edge, hitting the guy in the middle on the ground floor guarding the doors. We quickly took those out too, as well as a shot to make sure the one that was crushed was dead. Nico came down and we advanced towards the doors. "Find the breaker switch and turn the power off, we can work in the dark and use it to our advantage." We wandered through the compound vertically undetected and came to the breaker switch that was on the wall. The power turned off and we heard a lot of yelling from above about the power going off. We used this to our advantage and started dropping the targets like flies. We opened several doors coming up with nothing but the stench of weed and gunpowder. We soon arrived at a door on the top floor after taking out some people outside the door we opened it with caution. We stepped in, checking our surroundings, behind the door and using the flash light attachments, the dark corners of the room. We finally took notice of the centre of the room, seeing an unconscious Annabeth and Thalia. We rushed towards them, slinging our weapons around our sides and we shook them awake. "Annabeth. Annabeth look at me."
Annabeth's POV
I was slowly being shook to wake, I didn't want to though because I knew it was probably the guards again, trying to make us do things to them or us, or it was Luke back for more taunting. That was until I heard the most concern filled, amazing voice I've missed dearly. "Annabeth. Annabeth look at me." I slowly opened my eyes, staring into the beautiful sea green eyes I fell in love with.
"Percy?" I asked, hesitantly thinking it was a dream. He sighed with relief and untied me from the chair, I looked to my left to see Nico doing the same. Then Thalia surged forward and started kissing him, Nico kissing her back. I looked back to Percy seeing him smiling faintly and then he looked back at me. He smiled and stood offering me his hand, "Percy. I'm sorry." I said honestly, he looked confused at me and I smiled at his clueless expression, "I'm sorry for the way I treated you." He cut me off,
"No, I should be the one apologising Annabeth, It was my fault for not telling you in the first place, about everything. But you wouldn't have believed me either way thinking we were crazy or lying to you, that's why we tried keeping you in the dark so we didn't drag you into our world." I shook my head and kissed his lips, a sweet tender kiss, rendering him speechless. It took him a couple of seconds to kiss me back, but when he did he did so with vigour.
"I've been lying to myself this entire time of knowing you Percy. I love you." I whispered against his lips. I felt him smile and kiss me back once more,
"I love you too Annabeth, so much." He pulled back from our embrace and laced his fingers through mine, a perfect fit. "Come on, we have to-" Percy was cut off by the sound of an intercom,
"Well, well, well. If it isn't the Olympian sons of bitches that ruined everything, and their little whores." Luke' voice spat coldly over the intercom. "It would be such a shame to ruin this perfect moment between you all. Oh well." Percy caught something out of the corner of his eye. The next thing I know Percy is standing in front of me, and his body shook violently twice as I felt something warm and wet hit my face. I looked and saw two bullet holes in each shoulder before he slumped forward and collapsed on the floor.
"PERCY!" I yelled as I dropped to my knees beside him.
