~Ichigo's Pov~

Aizen smirked at me. That smirk always gets on my nerves. "Are you shocked that she's the enemy-"

"Of course I am!" I shouted at him trying to stand up but failing. Sitting on my knees, I said, "Who wouldn't be? She's a goddess's daughter. All demigods are good."

"Most are good, others are evil." Gin informed.

Then out of the blue, Grimmjow, a supposed demigod, laughed. "That's a loud of shit." He jumped in front of me, almost like a guardian. He stood in confidence and defiance, it was as if he was defended someone just by saying that.

"And what do you mean by that Grimmjow." Aizen calmly asked.

"Yes there are some demigods that were evil," Grimmjow reasoned. "But they all changed back to good. There was one demigod that did some bad things, but he saved Olympus."

"His name?"

"Luke," the sexta Espada answered. "Luke Castallen."

As soon as the name was said, my head was throbbing like crazy. A low, old, raspy voice invaded my head. Why don't I show you how he and I died together?

Before I could comprehend what was going on, everything turned dark.

I was standing at the sidelines, watching a scene, from the past I assume, unfold. There were two demigods. One was on the ground all bruised up, the other was standing over him holding up a knife, getting ready for the final blow.

The one on the ground is Luke, the voice informed. I had taken over his body.

As I waited for the demigod to strike, I recognize him. It was Percy. He was going to kill Luke.

Instead of killing him, Percy gave the dagger to Luke.

Luke grabbed hold of the hilt. Then he unlatched the side straps of his armor, showing little of his skin under his left arm. With somewhat difficulty, from what I can see, Luke stabbed himself.

It was his weak spot, the voice answered my question before I could ask it. He was invincible because he hid that place. Since he was hurt there, his invincibility was gone and he died.

Luke screamed in pain causing me cringe visibly.

I was flashed to a scene few minutes later.

He was on the ground, bleeding, while Annabeth, Grover, and Percy was kneeling by him. Luke grabbed hold of Percy's sleeve. "Ethan. Me. All the unclaimed. Don't let it . . . Don't let it happen again."

His eyes were filled with anger but with a mixture of plead.

"I won't." Percy said. "I promise."

Luke nodded and his hold loosened. He was dead.

The gods arrived soon, expecting to participate in the battle. What they saw was Percy, Annabeth, and Grover standing over a body of a dead heroic demigod.

"Percy," Lord Poseidon called, amazement and shock in his voice. "What . . . what is this?"

Percy turned and faced the Olympians. "We need a shroud," he announced, his voice cracking in the middle. "A shroud for the son of Hermes."

Flashed into the future once more. We were still in the same room, just a little cleaner that it was before. The Olympian Council was giving awards to the demigods.

"Why am I here?" I thought out loud, but I couldn't hear my voice.

You are undetermined, the voice answered. Your mother has yet to claim you. Your sister, Karin, will be claimed once you wake up.

"How long have I been out?" I asked.

A few hours. It's about one in the morning right now, the voice answered again. Your allies weren't knocked out. They took you to the cabin you were staying at the first hour you blacked out. Anyways, this is something you might be interested in.

"PERCY JACKSON!" his father announced. The name echoed off the marble walls.

Percy bowed to Lord Zeus before kneeling at his father's feet. "Rise, my son," Lord Poseidon said.

Percy stood uneasily. He must've not gotten over of his friend's death yet. "A great hero must be rewarded," Lord Poseidon continued. "Is there anyone here who would deny that my son is deserving?" The gods did nothing to argue.

"The Council agrees," Lord Zeus said. "Percy Jackson, you will have one gift from the gods."

Percy hesitated. "Any gift?"

Lord Zeus nodded grimly. "I know what you will ask. The greatest gift of all. Yes, if you want it, it shall be yours. The gods have not bestowed this gift on a mortal hero in many centuries, but, Perseus Jackson-if you wish it-you shall be made a god. Immortal. Undying. You shall serve as your father's lieutenant for all time."

He stared at him, not believing what was said. "Um . . . a god?"

Lord Zeus rolled his eyes. "A dimwitted god, apparently. But yes. With the consensus of the entire Council, I can make you immortal. Then I will have to put up with you forever."

"Don't do it!" I shouted at him, though he couldn't hear me.

"Hmm," Lord Ares mused. "That means I can smash him to a pulp as often as I want, and he'll just keep coming back for more. I like this idea."

Man, he sounds a lot like Kenpachi.

"Think about Annabeth!" I screamed. Then something strange happened. I swear I saw Lady Athena look at me, like she heard what I said. But that's impossible, isn't it?

She quickly looked away from me and at her daughter. "I approve as well."

Percy glanced at where she was looking. Annabeth's face was pale and she was trying hard not to look at him.

Percy pondered on something before saying, "No."

The Council was silent. The gods frowned at each other, wondering if they misheard, excluding Lady Athena. She looked right at me and mouthed, "Thank you." No one saw her do so.

"No?" Zeus said. "You are . . . turning down our generous gift?" There was a harsh edge in his voice, like he was about to snap.

"I'm honored and everything," Percy said. "Don't get me wrong. It's just . . . I've got a lot of life left to live. I'd hate to peak in my sophomore year."

I snorted while most of the gods glared at him.

"I do want a gift though," he continued. "Do you promise to grant my wish?"

Lord Zeus thought for a moment. "If it is within our power."

"It is," Percy insisted. "And it's not even difficult. But I need your promise on the River Styx."

"What?" Lord Dionysus cried. "You don't trust us?"

"Someone once told me," he looked at Lord Hades, "you always get a solem oath."

Lord Hades shrugged. "Guilty."

"Very well!" Lord Zeus growled. "In the name of the Council, we swear by the River Styx to grant your reasonable request, as long as it is within our power."

Thunder boomed in the distance sealing the promise.

"From now on I want you to properly recognize the children of the gods," Percy said. "All the children . . . of all of the gods."

The scene ended right there for me. Now I was trapped in a white room with no exits.

"Why did you show me that?" I asked, now being able to hear my voice.

I showed you it because the gods have not kept their promise, the voice in my head answered. You have not been claimed and it is all thanks to Lord Zeus.

What? "Why is it his fault?" I continued to question.

He's a stubborn god, the voice started to explain. His time of being the King of Gods was up eons ago. The reason he is still the king is because he made a deal with the Fates.

"Which was?"

He will renounce his tittle as king and give it to his daughter's first born son when he turned twenty, the voice said. Zeus chose which daughter it would be. When that daughter had her first child, Zeus threaten to kill it. He didn't because the child was a girl.

"He chose Lady Artemis." I stated more than asked.

The voice chuckled. I'd figure you'd know the answer since your father told you that story a million times.

"Why tell me any of this? This has nothing to do with me." I reasoned.

Yes it does, because you are the son of-

I woke up and quickly sat up. Two things happened when I did. One: I realized I was in Lady Hera's cabin. Two: Karin, who was sleeping on a chair beside me woke up.

"Are you alright?" Karin asked rubbing her black eye, wincing when she did. "That was some damage you took."

"I've been hit worse," I retorted. "I could have fought back but the barrier restricted my powers."

"Could it be because of your hollow?" She concluded. "It was made to keep out monsters."

I nodded my head. "Yeah, you could be. . ." I trailed off as a white light appeared on top of her head.

"What is it?" She asked. Then Karin noticed the light. "What the heck is going on?"

"You're being claimed." I somehow answered, though I don't know how I could.

"Well who's claiming me?"

The light dimmed down slightly so I could see the object that's floating. It was a crescent moon.

"It's a moon." I blurted.

Karin smiled widely. "So that means my favorite goddess is my mother?"

I nodded my head, while she cheered.

Now I know what the voice was trying to say.

I'm the son of Artemis, which also means one thing

I'm the future King of Gods.
