Here is the next chapter.
I keep having writer's block for this story, but I'm not going to stop!
That was a warning for next time.
Disclaimer-I don't own Bleach or the Percy Jackson and Heroes of Olympus series.
~Ichigo's Pov~
"Don't say anything." I commanded. "If the gods knew that we know, then there would trouble."
Karin stopped cheering. "But what am I supposed to say if they ask why we haven't been 'claimed' yet? And why do I have to keep it a secret?"
"You just have to trust me." I said. "Now go to sleep in your bed."
She reluctantly climbed into the bed next to Yuzu. As I closed my eyes, Karin mumbled, "Why won't anyone tell me the truth?"
The next morning I was up before the girls, which was a shocker. Anyways I walked into the mess hall to see only a handful of demigods and all of the gods eating at their respective tables.
"I hope I'm not doing something stupid." I thought as walked over to a certain goddess's table.
"Lady Athena?" I asked.
The goddess of wisdom turned to face me when she heard her name. She smiled kindly at me. "What is it Ichigo?"
I visibly flinched. I had no idea she knew my name already. "I was wondering if I could talk to you for a moment, alone."
"Can it wait for later?"
"No ma'am." I answered politely. "I need to know now. It's important."
She sighed lightly before standing. "Let's go."
Soon afterwards we were outside where no one can here us. "You saw me at the meeting when Percy turned down immortality." I stated more than asked.
Lady Athena nodded. "And I also heard you yelling at Percy to think about my daughter."
"And you know who my mother is and kept it a secret from your father with the help of Lord Apollo."
She hesitated. Then her face lost its color when she realized what I said. "You know who she is."
"Yes." I confirmed. "I'm not going to tell anyone, I just have a ques-"
"Athena!"
The two of us turned to see Zeus standing on the path leading to the Big House. He failed when he acted like he wasn't aggravated. "Did you forget there's a meeting right now?" he asked irritated.
"I was just about to leave." She gave me a look that said, We'll finish this later, before walking away with Zeus following her.
As soon as they were out of hearing distance, Percy appeared at my side. I gave him a smirk. "You wanna go spy on the gods at their meeting with me?"
He gave an eviler one back. "Let's go."
~No Pov~
"Why did you claim her!" Zeus yelled at his daughter.
"Hmm," Artemis rested her hand on her cheek, pretending to think. "Maybe because she's my daughter!"
"I don't care if she is, you have no right to claim her!"
She scoffed at him. "No right?! She's one of my only children!"
"I know."
"Of course you would because you wanted to kill my first daughter before she was even born!"
"Because she was a mistake!"
The other immortals watched in shock as Artemis slapped Zeus.
"Don't you ever call Tia that again!" She screamed at him. "She is mine and I love her with all my heart! Because of you I couldn't be there for her childhood!"
"I did you a favor." Zeus argued. "If she was with you all this time you would have forgotten about your hunters and she'd distract you of your duties."
"But during 'all this time' when she wasn't with me, I missed her so much that at one point I thought I'd die!" Soon she began pacing as she yelled. "And how could she distract me from my duties? I only had one duty which was not to fall in love!"
"And yet you failed!" he exclaimed. "It's not that hard to do!"
"Well it was." she sneered. "And he loves me too! He gave up his position as captain for me! He chose me instead of his soul reaper powers!"
"He was probably using you."
Artemis gave him one of her famous glares. "You have no clue what you're talking about."
"Maybe I don't," he sort of agreed. "But that won't stop me from banning you to claim your son."
"Oh really?" She challenged. "Is it because you're afraid that he'd be a better king than you? That's not going to stop me."
"The Fates said my daughter's son will become the new king." Zeus said oddly calmly.
"And you chose me which mean my son is next in line!"
Outside the house under the window Percy and Ichigo were sitting on the ground ease-dropping/spying. "Ichigo, what are they talking about?" Percy asked.
Ichigo sighed before giving his friend/brother a stern look. "I know you know I'm the son of Artemis." At this Percy nodded guiltily. "Well Zeus made a deal with the Fates. One of his daughters' son will be made the King of Gods on his twentieth birthday. He chose Lady Artemis which means in little over a year I'll be the new king. Now shush!"
Back inside the house Zeus continued, "Who said you're still my daughter?"
The other gods gasped at what he said, except for Artemis. Her fists were clenched and she had a hard look on her face. "What do you mean?"
"I'm disowning you," he explained with no emotion at all. "You are no longer my daughter which means he is no longer in line for the throne. My decision is final. Meeting adjourn."
Zeus slammed the door behind him and a few seconds later Artemis broke down in tears.
When he did close the door, another man was walking toward him, Isshin Kurosaki.
"Hello, sir," Isshin greeted respectively. "I'm looking for-"
"All the gods are in that room." Zeus pointed to the door behind him. "Now good-bye."
Isshin stared at him in question when he walked by. As soon as he opened the door, he saw the goddess Artemis crying. Some of the others looked at him while the others tried to comfort the crying immortal.
Before he could take another step, Artemis plowed into him. Her hands held his shirt tightly as she cried into his shirt. A few moments later she pulled away and wiped away her tears. "Looks like you aren't the only one that's been disowned from your family," she joked through her sobbing.
He continued running his fingers through her hair while she continued to stare at his soaked shirt. "Well at least I don't need to ask his permission," he reasoned.
She looked up in shock as she continued to wipe away her tears. "What?"
"I ask you this every time we see each other." Like magic, a ring appeared in Isshin's hand as he held up to her. "Will you marry me?"
She smiled brightly and hugged him tightly. "I'd love to."
Outside the house Percy looked at his brother. "Who's that man? And why did he propose?"
Ichigo slowly backed away from the window, his eyes still as big as a plate. "That's my dad. He's the one she loves so much."
"Which means?"
Ichigo glanced at Percy before he grinned. "I really am the son of Artemis!"
Bet you weren't expecting that!
Wait until the next chapter, which might be only a few days or few weeks.
