Hey, so here's the newest chapterLadySongbird16 and I hope everyone likes it. This chapter was a little harder to plan out then most of the others but we think it turned out alright. As always if you have the time, please leave a review.

Chapter 20

A week later the diplomats were still trying to persuade Jade into marriage. On this particular day Jade was sitting in the throne room. The diplomats were all trying to win her over by offering her gifts, just as Tarakudo did during mating season. Her friends of course, were being supportive and were helping her oversee all the gifts she was receiving.

"For you, lovely princess," The diplomat of Lust said handing Jade a bottle of perfume. "It's one of the most ravishing scents in my land."

"Thank you," Jade said pretending to admire the scent before handing it to Dante.

"For you my lady, the most beautiful breed of flowers that grow in my district," The diplomat of Hersey stated.

"Thank you my lord," Jade said smelling the flowers before handing them to Amber.

For the next half hour the diplomats continued to present their gifts to Jade and once they all presented to her she sent her friends if with the gifts.

"I thank all of you for the wonderful gifts, but like my father stated previously I would like to rule a few years alone," Jade confirmed. "Do not be discouraged though, one day one of you could very well be my husband. Until next time, goodbye."

Meanwhile

Jade's friends were carrying the many gifts that the diplomats had offered.

The J team was walking in the other direction when they saw the young reapers carrying all the gifts.

"What are you all carrying?" Tohru questioned.

"They're gifts from the nine diplomats," Violet stated.

"Why are they giving her gifts?" Jackie questioned.

"They're trying to win her affections," Mark declared.

"Well, they're not going to win it," Paco said.

"Exactly, they're not doing it now, and they won't do it any time in the near future," Amber declared.

"What are you going to do with all of those gifts?" Viper asked.

"We're going to put all of them into the fire pit," Dante confirmed dropping the perfume into said pit.

"Do we have to incinerate the gigantic box of chocolates from the diplomat of Gluttony?" Amber complained.

"No, I think Jade will be mad if we get rid of that," Mark stated.

"So are we all going to eat that later?" Dante questioned.

"I don't even think that should be a question," Violet declared.

All right let's go meet up with Jade," Dante said dropping the rest if the gifts into the fire pit. "Paco, stop by the suite later and we'll all hang out."

"Ok, see you guys later," Paco said.

"I still don't get those reapers," Uncle stated.

"Hey, they're cool to hang out with," Paco defended.

Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

The next day Jade and the Devil were training together. It had been a while since Jade had trained with him, and as much as she hated sappy things, it was nice to spend time with her adopted father. They were currently working on sword work. Jade was doing a pretty good job with her quick sword technique. Only the Devil was blocking her a lot of the time.

"Jade you need to be a lot quicker than that," the Dark King stated.

"I know I'm trying," Jade confirmed.

"If you're going to be the next Devil you really need to be one of the best fighters in Hell, especially if you're planning to rule for a long time," the Devil declared.

"Then you must have been ruling since the dinosaurs were around," Jade said bursting into laughter.

"Jade you know very well that I am not the only Devil to rule," the Dark King confirmed.

"Right, so what's next?" Jade asked.

"Let's work on hand to hand combat," the Dark King said aiming for Jade's right side.

Jade blocked his fist.

"Very good," The Devil stated.

Three Days Later

Jade walked out of her suite and quietly shut the door behind her, making sure no one was around for her to run into. Her friends of course already knew where she was going as she had told them indirectly earlier. It actually went a lot better than she had expected; all she needed to do was tell them she was going out, and after only a few seconds they caught on. It was good to know that her friends understood so well. Now all she can do is hope that no one else stops to question her. She really did not want to explain anything to anyone right now. She was NOT in the mood for any of that.

She walked through the park and noticed the flower cart by the fountain and headed over there. She purchased a bouquet of black and red roses (yes they have black roses, it is Hell after all).

She continued on, still hoping that she would not run into anyone and has to explain anything. She spoke too soon. A few feet ahead of her were Paco and El Toro, sparring with each other. Jade couldn't deny that it was nice to see that Paco still had time to practice his luchador wrestling with his teacher, but they were bound to ask her questions.

"Hola Yade" Paco greeted.

"Oh, hey you guys, what are you doing?" Jade questioned.

"El Toro is helping me review some luchador moves," Paco declared.

"That sounds pretty cool." Jade said plainly.

"Si, it's bueno that Paco and I finally have some time to practice, we haven't done it in a while," El Toro confirmed.

"Well, I'll let you two get back to that, see you around," Jade said beginning to quickly walk away.

"Yade, wait," Paco said.

Jade had no choice but to turn and once again look at the two luchadors, dammit.

"Yes?" Jade questioned.

"What are the flowers for?" Paco asked.

Jade looked down at the bouquet for a few seconds. "Well…"

Then it just seemed like it clicked into place for Paco and El Toro.

"Oh, I understand Yade, I'm sorry, go on," Paco said understandingly.

"Si amiga, go do what you need to do," El Toro said.

"Thank you," Jade said with a small grateful smile before continuing on.

Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Jade finally reached her destination, the cemetery. She walked all the way to the end of the cemetery until she found the grave she was looking for. She removed the old wilted bouquet from the vase in front of the grave and replaced it with the black and red rose bouquet.

"Hey Zyon," She said to the tombstone.

"You know, a lot of people think you didn't deserve a grave, but I wouldn't allow it, and neither would dad," Jade stated. "After all, despite all the pain that we put each other through, even after all the bull shit we dealt with, you're still my brother, my best friend, and I love you. You always understood me better than anyone even myself and you always knew what to say to help me out of a jam. A lot has happened lately; all the diplomats want me to be their wife, but you and I both know that that's not going to happen any time soon. Paco is finally hanging out with all of us. It's really great to spend time with him now; it felt like years since I got to just hang out with him. I think you would have liked him. We all could have had a lot of fun together," Jade said looking down at the ground.

"Zyon, I never wanted any of this to happen I accept it now but I never wanted to be the next Devil; I never wanted us to become enemies; I didn't want to be the one who had to kill you!" Jade said finally letting the tears fall down her face. "I miss you."
