Chapter 23

It was another usual day in Hell. Jade and her friends had just finished collecting souls.

"Well, what should we do now?" Dante questioned.

"I don't know," Violet replied. "We finished earlier than I thought we would."

"Well, I don't know about you, but I feel like training today," Jade stated.

"Training, didn't we just get out of work?" Amber asked.

"Well, that's not stopping me from training," Jade declared.

"Why not, it's not like we have anything to do or anywhere else we could go for a couple of hours anyway," Mark stated.

"Do you think they'd let us bring Paco with us into the training room?" Dante questioned.

"If not I can always just make them," Jade stated.

"Alright, let's go find Paco then," Mark stated.

Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Finding Paco wasn't that hard, the first place they checked was the suite that everyone had been placed in, and oddly enough, everyone was in there.

"Jade, what brings all of you here?" Jackie asked after he answered the door.

"We wanted to talk to Paco," Amber stated.

Jackie stepped aside and Paco came to the door.

"What's up guys?" Paco asked.

"We were going to go get a workout in the training room," Jade stated. "Do you want to come with us?"

"Sure, sounds like it are cool," Paco stated.

Once they were gone everyone just went back to what they were doing.

"They sure have been including Paco a lot lately," Viper declared.

"I think it's good for him though," El Toro stated. "He sacrificed mucho social time over the past decade to work at becoming a luchador."

"I didn't know he gave up that much," said Tohru.

"Yes, so it's nice to see him socialize," El Toro stated.

On the other side of the room

Drago was debating what over what to do. It was boring in this room, and he hated everyone in this room.

So making a decision he finally got up and headed toward the door.

"Where do you think you're going?" Shendu questioned.

"Out, father, why would you care?"

In the training room

"So this is really where you guys workout?" Paco asked.

"Yeah, we try and get here at least four times a week" Dante said heading over to a punching bag. "You ever work with one of these things Paco?"

"Yeah, a couple of times," Paco replied. "When you're a luchador you work with a lot of different things."

"Well then, why don't you show us what you got?" Mark asked.

"Oh, bring it on," Paco said with a smirk.

The boys ran over to one said of the room and started going at it with each other.

The girls just rolled their eyes and laughed a bit.

"Men," Violet said.

"Yeah," Jade replied.

"So what do we do?" Amber questioned.

"Well, I don't know about you but I feel like beating the shit out of something, so I am going to go attack that dummy over there," Jade stated.

"Alright," Violet replied. "Amber, we should work on our arms. It's been a while since we did that."

So Jade walked over to the dummy and started beating it like it deserved to be attacked.

After what felt like forever, a voice snapped Jade out of her ass-kicking.

"Well, well, still as feisty and tenacious as you where ten years ago I see."

Jade turned to see none other than Drago standing behind her.

"What the Hell are you doing here?" Jade said turning back to the dummy

"Being stuck in that room with all those low lives was too boring," Drago declared. "I came here looking for something interesting."

"Yeah, well you haven't changed much either I see," Jade declared. "As I recall, we sealed you back into the demon nether world. I even bet you're still afraid of water."

"Well, last I checked there's no water in here," Drago declared. "And you failed to capture me plenty of times."

"Still think you can take me on do you?" Jade asked. "As you can obviously tell, I'm not a child anymore; I'm more dangerous now than when I was a child.

"Don't make me laugh, I can take you down any day," Drago declared.

"Is that a challenge?" Jade questioned.

"Only if you think you're up to it, little girl," Drago said with a smirk.

"Bring it on," Jade said getting into a fighting stance.

Drago charged at her, but she quickly dodged him. And hid in the shadows, soon she charged at him and hit him in his left side causing him to fall.

He attempted to get up again put she moved to pin him. Before he completely hit the ground though, he used his tail to hit her arm. She reacted by pulling away and simply stepping back.

Of course he fell for it and charged at her again, but she was gone again and she disappeared again only to reappear and hit him from behind. As the minutes went on Jade continued the pattern of having Drago come at her, and it always ended with her dodging him and attacking him. Ten minutes later, she finally had him pinned again.

"Well, well Drago, it looks like you're out of fire," Jade said with a smirk.

"Don't get so confident, you merely got lucky that time," Drago replied.

"Yeah, keep telling yourself that," said Jade.

The rest of the group had already finished their training and was waiting for Jade to be finished.

"Hey Yade, are you ready to go?" Paco asked.

"Yeah, I'm ready," Jade replied. "See you around Junior," She said looking at Drago before she and her friends headed out of the training room.

Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

After training, Jade and her friends decided to have a video game night in her suite. They all went back to their suites to change. Currently they were just waiting on Paco.

"Say Jade, what's up with you and the fire demon?" Amber questioned.

"Uhm, we were just sparring, the thing I do with you guys all the time," Jade replied.

"Yeah, but you've known that demon for over ten years right?" Amber asked.

"I've known a lot of people for over ten years," Jade confirmed. "What's your point?"

"Do you have some kind of history with this one?" Amber questioned.

"Just the usual fighting, attempted world domination, time travel, some attempted murders, that kind of stuff," said Jade.

"Yeah, but there was something very strange about him," Amber stated.

"He's a gecko with zits," Jade stated. "What could possibly be strange?"

"It almost seems like he was holding back a bit when he was sparing with you,"

"No, that's not his style, even if he's over trying to kill me,"

"Jade, you're gonna think I'm absolutely crazy…"

"Already there," Jade interrupted.

"But, I think this demon has the hots for you," Amber declared.

Ok, first of all, that's a stupid pun," Jade stated.

"That wasn't meant to be a pun, but ok," Amber replied.

"Second of all, I don't know what you're talking about," Jade declared.

"Come on Jade, do I need to spell it out?" Amber asked. "I think he likes you, L-I-K-E…"

"I know how to spell 'like'," Jade stated. "I am many things; stupid is not one of them."

"Well, is oblivious to anything romantic one of them?" Amber asked.

"You think any guy who looks at me for a second has a crush on me," Jade stated.

"Not true, I don't think Mark or Dante has a crush on you," Amber said defensively.

"They don't count and you know it," Jade said.

"Yeah, we don't count," Dante agreed.

"Come on Jade, you're going to be the next devil," Amber confirmed.

"Really, I had no idea," Jade said sarcastically.

"You learn something new every day," Mark stated.

"That's not my point," Amber stated.

"No, your point is that you are boy-crazy," Jade replied.

"I'm just saying Jade, you're going to have to find a…"

"Oh, so you think just because a guy has a crush on me I have to marry him?" Jade asked. "If that was the case I would have been married over a hundred times by now. Plus I'd rather rule solo for a couple of centuries before I get married, you know that" Jade said.

"Could I please finish a thought?" Amber asked.

"When you start making sense sure," Jade replied.

"If you're going to have to get married eventually…wouldn't you rather fall in love with someone you already know…sort of?" Amber asked.

"Why are you going in this direction?" Jade asked. "I have known plenty of other people longer than I have known Drago. Besides, I have come to the terms that when I do get married, it won't be for love, it will be for political reasons. I thought you knew this?"

"How do you know that's going to be the case Jade?" Amber asked. "Don't you ever want to fall in love with someone?"

"Have you met me?" Jade asked. "I don't exactly care. Besides, the people I love have a tendency to betray or abandon me."

"Well, isn't life all about taking chances?" Amber asked.

"I'm gonna be the Devil," Jade confirmed. "I can't afford chances. When you're the ruler, you have to make sacrifices. I've accepted that this is one of mine."

"Amber, seriously, shut up," Violet said. "You've never won a debate with Jade, and as sad as sounds, you probably never will. Besides that she is right".

"Fine, but, you will end up falling in love someday Jade," Amber declared. "I don't know when, or how the fuck it will happen, but when it does, I'll be the one saying "I told you so."

"Yeah, keep telling yourself that Amber," Jade boardly said.
