"Great, we're out of beetroot soup!" Alex dismissed Steve. "Then go pick some beetroots from the farm" said Alex. "But they're not done growing yet, and I'm starving." Alex rolled her eyes. She didn't have time for this. "Ok, so? I don't see why you can't eat something else. There's plenty of steak in the dispenser." "Because I want beetroots! They're my favourite and besides, I ate too much steak yesterday, The last thing I want is steak right now." Obviously, Steve wasn't going to leave Alex alone until he got some beetroots for his soup. "Fine. You're lucky I still have some bone meal." She took the bone meal out of her inventory and reluctantly went out into the field. She saw the half grown beetroots flourishing from the ground. Alex sprinkled bone meal all over the crops and, as if by magic, they quickly grew into maturity. She picked the fully grown beetroots out of the earth, and put them into her inventory. In total, she had picked twenty five beetroots. "Good enough." Alex walked back to the house and showed Steve the delicious beetroots. Steve's mouth watered just looking at them. He snatched the beetroots right out of Alex's hands, and headed to the kitchen. Alex sighed. "Oh Steve, you just never change." She walked up the stairs, and threw herself onto her bed. Alex's room was the neatest and most organized in the house, unlike Steve's who was usually messy. "Now, where was I?" She reached towards her drawer, if you can call it that, and pulled out a strange glowing item. It had a blue glow, and was pulsing. She had seen the strange item when walking in unexplored plains, and saw it on the ground. It immediately began to glow when she touched it, and for a moment, she felt a surge of energy and could of sworn that the world around her stopped for a second. She never told Steve about the strange item, and instead put it away in her drawer yesterday. However, her curiosity had caused her to experiment with the item, by trying to combine items with it. The item would not budge, so she gave up. Now, today she had read a book about seven mythological stones that would give the wielder unimaginable power, and so she wondered if she had one of those stones. She doubted it, plus, she's the last person to believe in such a myth. Still, she had a feeling that the myth may be true. She lifted the item and carried it over to her desk. She then put the item into the center of the crafting table. She tried a new recipe, and was amazed that it worked. The newly crafted item was a blue gem of some sort, and it still had a strange blue glow. Then, the gem began to pulse brightly. The gem began to levitate in the air, and made a loud, humming sound before falling back to the desk. Alex was in shock. She had never seen something like it before. Steve yelled from downstairs. "Hey! What's going on up there?" Alex quickly grabbed the gem and put it into her drawer. Steve went up the stairs and glared at Alex. There was a large beetroot soup stain on his shirt. "Oh, uh, its nothing." "Then explain what that strange humming noise was." Steve would never believe Alex's discovery, so she lied. "I accidentally spammed the note block with a low note." "Uh huh. Well, you made me spill beetroot soup on myself." "Sorry." Steve went back down to the kitchen. "Phew, that was close. I wonder what caused the gem to float and make that sound."
"Um, dude? I don't think this is a good idea." "We need to investigate this realm and its inhabitants, plus, we need the emerald." "I just don't think we should tinker with this realm. You know what happened to Nick." "More reason to be careful. We just need to see the people of this realm and find the emerald" "Easier said than done." "Listen Jordan, everything will be fine. So stop worrying." "Fine. Wait, are those, blocks?" "A world made of blocks huh? Interesting." "Dan, even the clouds are blocky." "Alright, the moment we go pass the realm barrier, we will become to whatever this realm's normal people look like." Jordan and Dan walked through the barrier, and both of them instantly became blocky figures. "Whoa, look at my block hands!" "Yep. I got some blocky legs too! I'm surprised we can even bend are legs!" "Alright Jordan, let's get this show on the road!" They walked for what seemed like ages. Jordan was getting hungry. "Hey Dan, did you bring any food?" "Um, I forgot." "What?! You mean we're gonna starve?!" "Don't panic, this realm does not have the same attributes as our world. You might be able to pick some apples." Dan punched the leaves of the nearest tree, and a sapling dropped. "What's this?" "I don't think it's edible." Jordan punched the leaves of another tree, and an apple fell. He eat the apple whole. "Hey! I'm hungry too!" Jordan punched more leaves from trees and more apples fell. They both ate the apples. "Dude, this is like, the most delicious apple I have ever eaten." "No time to lose, let's get going." They walked some more and found a house. "Hey look, someone lives there." "You don't say? Of course someone lives there." "That's strange, I'm getting some energy readings on my scanner. They're coming from that house." "Let's be careful, the emerald might be there.
Alex finished crafting her brand new sword. It was made of diamond, and she was just about to enchant it when she looked out the window. There were two boys heading towards the house. "What are they doing here?" Alex went to the enchanting room and enchanted her sword with knockback two, sharpness five, and fire aspect two. Each enchantment is unique. With knockback, when the sword hits someone, they're thrown back. If the enchantment is stronger, whoever is hit is knocked even farther. With the sharpness enchantment, it makes the sword more deadly and deals more damage. Finally, with fire aspect, when a sword hits someone they are set on fire. The stronger the fire aspect, the longer they stay on fire. Alex quickly ran downstairs to alert Steve of the people coming. Steve was already grabbing his iron sword when Alex entered the kitchen. "Two boys are coming this way!" "I know. There's a window here you know." They both burst out the door and braced themselves just in case. "Whoa! Put your swords away! We mean no harm!" One boy had blue hair with goggles on his head, and the other had black spiky hair and was wearing black shades with a red rim. The blue haired boy seemed to be wearing a black coat and blue pants with golden buttons on the kneecaps. He also had a gold button on the back of each arm and had a brown belt, brown shoes, and dark eyes. He looked like the serious type. The black haired boy was a different story. He was wearing a white undershirt, black coat, black pants, white socks by the looks of it, and black shoes. He had blue eyes and seemed to have a tan. He seemed friendly and the humourous type like Steve. "What are you two doing here?" said Steve. "I'm Jordan" said the black haired boy. "And this is my friend Dan". He pointed to the blue haired boy. "We didn't ask who you were, we asked why you're here." "Yeah, um, that's complicated" said Jordan. "You two haven't seen a blue emerald have you?" Alex's heart sank. They knew about the gem she found. "What blue emerald?" asked Steve. "Its none of your concern, we're looking for it." That's suspicious thought Alex. Why were they looking for that gem, or, er, emerald? Great, we're gonna die thanks to you Dan, thought Jordan. What was he gonna do? The girl meant business, and he could see she had a sword of some sort on her back. She had blonde hair and had green eyes. She wore a green top and brown pants as well as tall, black boots. Jordan couldn't take his eyes off her. No! What am I thinking? I gotta keep it together thought Jordan. "So um, aren't you gonna tell us your names?" said Dan. "I'm Steve, and this is Ms. Serious." Jordan started laughing like a mad man, and Steve joined in. "Hey! I'm not so serious! I'm just cautious and there's nothing funny about it!" "It kinda is" said Jordan. Alex looked like she was about to explode. Steve was oblivious, and teased Alex once more. "She also one time almost suffocated in gravel!" This time, Jordan didn't laugh. "Dude, that's not funny." "Why not?" "Because that's messed up. You tried to bury her alive?" "What?! No! We were mining in a cave and gravel fell on her. She fell back and looked like sandman." Now Jordan looked like he was going to die of laughter. Dan started laughing too. Alex looked as red as a cherry. "It's not funny! Shut up Steve!" The three boys only laughed even more. "Oh man, that's the funniest thing I have heard in a while." stated Dan. Dan noticed Steve had a big stain on his cyan shirt. It had spread to his blue pants and there was a dot of red on Steve's left grey shoe. Dan had just noticed Steve had a barely visible beard. It matched his brown hair and blue eyes for some reason. Alex pulled out her diamond sword and aimed it right at Steve. "You say one more thing and I'll skin you!" "Whoa hold on. Everyone calm down, it was just a joke right Steve?" asked Dan. "I was just joking!" "Well then don't joke!" Alex's face was now a pinkish colour. "Anyway, since it looks like we can trust you, we'll tell you what the blue emerald is. But first, we need to go in your house. "Oh? Why?" said Alex. "Because we have detected huge amounts of energy emitting from your house." Alex began to panic. That emerald, or whatever it was, seemed to be important. No one can find out about it. "No. You can't go in." "Why not Alex? They just want to see if we have that emerald which we clearly don't have. Come on in guys." No no no no! This can't be happening! I have to do something thought Alex. The four of them walked into the house and went to the living room. "It's coming from upstairs." They went upstairs to find the source of the energy. "It's in this room." "Hey! Don't go in there! Thats personal!" "Don't worry, we are just looking for the emerald and we'll leave. Unless you have it hidden." "Alex, are you hiding something?" asked Steve. "What? No! I'm not hiding anything!" Dan pointed the scanner all over the room, and it beeped when pointed at the drawer. Dan then began to open the drawer when suddenly, there was a loud, piercing sound. "Ahh!, my ears!" screamed Jordan. The sound was over, and everyone stared at Alex. "What the?!" said Steve. Alex was holding up her hands in the air. Her face was pale, and she looked terrified. "Did you just, use chaos sound?!" asked Dan. "Chaos what?!" asked Steve. "Chaos sound. The ability to create sound waves and basically shoot them toward something." "But…but...how did I do that?!" said Alex alarmed. "You need to use the power of the emerald to do so, and it looks like the emerald is right here." Dan opened the drawer and pulled out the blue glowing emerald. "Alex, you have some explaining to do" said Steve.
