Hello again! I know this one is short and to the point, but I liked the idea of playing around with what the clone Shepard was thinking. Her motivation to way she wanted to be Shepard. I think a lot of it would be what I tried to get down. Jealousy, hatred and given a life without purpose. Playing the game I did feel bad for the clone in the end because she would rather die than just another Shepard. She wanted to be her own person by the end. And I think she knew instinctively that wasn't going to happen. She would always be a clone of Commander Shepard. So thanks once again for the reviews, favorites and follows. Happy Reading!

The Other Shepard
She was Commander Vaina Shepard. She was Commander Vaina Shepard. She was Commander Vaina Shepard. She wasn't a clone. She wasn't an unsuitable replacement or a body that was only around for spare parts. She was Commander Vaina Shepard.
She looked like Shepard down to tips of eyelashes. She wasn't going back to a lab. She should have had Shepard's life she was supposed to be the Commander Shepard! Instead, she was the person who just looked a hell of a lot like Commander Shepard. It wasn't fair. She was just a good a shot with a gun. Just as reckless and bold. Just as smart. She even practiced that annoying little smile. That damn know-it-all grin! She was Commander Shepard.
She kept telling herself this, but she wasn't convinced just yet. She knew she could never fool those closest to Shepard. The cult of Shepard her groupies and followers-the turian, the quarian, asari, krogan and the two humans-especially the other Spectre.
Touching a button on her omni-tool, she pulled up the data file on the Spectre that Brooks had sent her.
Kaidan Alenko.
He was going to be a big problem. Of all of Shepard's cronies he was the one who questioned her. The others seemed to go with the flow of things, but Kaidan he was a different sort. He was trouble. And from the reports that Brooks was sending much more than old acquaintances. They were close. Looking at his official file was painful. She sneered and closed the application on her omni-tool. The problem was simple she would eliminate anyone who stood against her. Her Cat. 6 troops should be enough to handle any of Shepard's team.
It wasn't fair that Shepard was handed everything. She had a good life. She was a goddamn hero! Saving Elysium during the Skyllian Blitz, destroying Sovereign, sparing the Council at the Battle of the Citadel, eradicating the Collectors, dying and coming back to lifeā¦no, it wasn't enough that she had all of that, but she had close good friends that trusted her and someone who loved her. It was sickening. Shepard had got the sweet end of the deal, while she was grown only to be spare parts for the woman who had it all.
"I will be Commander Shepard." Yes, she would be the Spectre that saved the galaxy from the Reaper invasion. She could save the universe from destruction and then no one would question her. No one would think that she wasn't Commander Shepard. Especially if she killed all of Shepard's closest followers and Shepard as well. People would admire her. Worship her. And she would be praised, regarded and loved. She wouldn't be anyone else spare parts doll anymore. She would be her own person. She would have her own purpose and identity. She wouldn't have to desire another person's life because it would be hers.
