Luke's POV:

AS we both walked through the forest, I remembered when I used to come in here with Thalia.

*Flashback*

"Luke, c'mon, it's just over here!" calls Thalia. I laugh at her giddiness as it is a very rare occasion for her to be actually giddy about something.

"I'm coming Thalia! Gods, what's got you in such a rush? We're supposed to be training?" I tell her, giving her a look. She sticks her tongue out at me and comes and grabs my hand. I've always liked holding her hand. It just fits so right.

"You're worse than Chiron, now c'mon! It's just over this little hill," she says as she guides me toward our destination. Her short hair cut blows in the summer breeze, and her smile is pretty nice, since she is usually frowning or scowling, or just has that resting face that looks a lot like the I'm-gonna-kill-you-if-you-piss-me-off kinda face, so a smile is a very nice change.

Finally, we make it up, and I don't think I've ever seen something as...colorful. I can't believe Thalia found this place.

"It's pretty cool, right?" she asks, looking out across the meadow. I didn't even know this place existed.

"Very. How'd you find it?" I ask. She looks at me with those electric blue eyes. I could honestly look at them for forever, maybe longer.

"It was during a capture the flag game, and I just sort of stumbled onto it," she says. "C'mon let's go," she says tugging on my hand once more. I laugh as she tumbles down the hill, with me wrapping her up so she doesn't break her face. She lands on top of me as we come to a stop in the middle of some flowers. I look back at her again, her eyes, then to her lips.

I don't even realize it, yet I'm already connecting our lips. It's amazing. They're so soft and warm and just...perfect. I don't even know how long we've been kissing, but I don't want this thing to end. She's an amazing person. Finally, we break after we need to inhale some oxygen.

I push a stray hair behind her ear, and she smiles again, which has me going wild. I really love this girl. I smile back, and that's the moment I realize, I'm head over heels for her. I'd do anything for her.

"Promise me, you'll always be there for me?' she asks. I nod my head fervently.

"I promise, on the River Styx," I tell her.

*End of Flashback*

I touch my lips, still remembering the feeling. They were so warm, soft. I remember the field too. Purple, blue, yellow, white flowers were pretty much everywhere.

"It's not too far," says Thalia, taking me back to reality. I look over at her once more. She's changed so much since then. Even when I was with Kronos, she was still the same old Thalia, but now, she's matured. In a good way I guess. She's doomed to remain young for all eternity right now, but it's not her appearance. It's the way she carries herself now. She's calmer, more levelheaded, and she has this demeanor of I'm-capable-of-anything kinda deal. I like it, a lot. The young Thalia was great, but walking next to her now, she's even better.

"Here we are," she says letting go of my hand. Her hand still fits too. At first, it was very cold, but it didn't last long, which is weird, but nice. After about 10 seconds or so it felt like normal. I gaze over the hill, and it seems like nothing has really changed, as if the space were frozen in time. I nearly laugh at the craziness of it all. I can't believe I'm back here. I take a step, but then trip and expect to fall on the ground, til I feel somebody wrap around me. We both tumble down the hill, and I laugh at how ironic the situation is, and the dejavu of the whole thing.

"What's so funny?" asks Thalia, though I can tell she's suppressing a laugh as well. She's on top once again, of course.

"Nothing...it's fine," I say, looking at her again. She has a stray hair in front of her face, and I brush it back, just like last time. I had my first kiss here. I made a promise here. I intend to keep that promise now. Now that I'm alive again. She's too precious to me, I'd never wanted to hurt her. I look back at her, and she's still beautiful. I cup her cheek, and she leans in and places a hand over mine. It's not cold either, and I'm very conscious of what I'm about to do, or am doing now.

Our lips connect as we slowly pick up the pace, from sweet and passionate to hungrily. I've missed her so much. The kiss deepens as I ask entry, and she grants it to me, and we battle for dominance. She wins, like what? Whatever. I have her here with me, and that's all I need. I pull back, only because I need to breathe, but she still stays there, eyes closed, a peaceful expression on her face.

"Thalia, look at me," I whisper to her. She opens her eyes.

"I made a promise to you. I intend to keep that promise Thalia. I'll always be here for you, know matter what," I tell her. She smiles, like a real smile, and it's amazing, seeing that again. When I was in Tartarus, I'd often think about her. I just wanted to make it up to her, and now I can. I plan on doing everything I possibly can for her right now. I know Percy is doing the same for Annabeth, as he should.

We both get up, and walk over to a tree that stands in the middle, offering some shade. I sit down, and Thalia sits in between me, as I wrap my arms around her waist. Gods I've missed her.

"I really missed you," she mumbles. I smile.

"I missed you too," I mumble against her back. She laughs. Not many people get to hear such a thing, so I take a lot of pride in being the one who is able to make her do such a thing.

I put my head on her shoulder, taking in the scenery. It's so peaceful, why can't we just stay here in this moment for now? I wish we could.

"Luke, a lot has changed. Percy did everything you asked him to, and the Gods, while not too pleased, have been following," she tells me. I pick up my head.

"Really?" I ask her. She nods and smiles. I smile back at both the fact that the Gods are finally taking care of their own kids, but also because I've probably got one of the best girls, or vampires in the world right here with me. I lay my head back on her shoulder, but this time she's tense.

"Hey, what's up?" I ask her. She quickly gets up, faster than I can even process with my eyes. I'm still sitting under a tree while she's at least a good 10 feet away from me.

"Do you smell that?" she asks me. I smell the air, and don't smell anything. I stand up.

"No, but remember you have a stronger sense of smell than me," I tell her. she nods, and begins sniffing the air. An expression crosses her face, confusion maybe? She starts walking towards me, and I don't know what to do so I just stand still.

"Thalia, what are you doing?" I ask as she gets closer. She doesn't look like how she was just a second ago. She looks...menacing, almost like a lion stalking their prey.

"Luke, you smell really nice," she says sniffing around my shoulder to neck area. I tense up, and I know what's making her do this. I saw what almost happened to Percy, but I was there to stop it. I don't have anybody who can stop her right now though.

"Thalia, listen to me. That's just the hunger speaking. You can control it. You can go find an animal to feed off of or I'm sure the infirmary has some blood bags. C'mon, we can go get some," I tell her. She wraps her arms around my neck, and I grab her waist, steadying her as she puts most of her weight on me. "Thalia, c'mon, you can do this," I tell her. Her expression changes and grimaces. She steps away for a second.

"Luke?...I'm just... really thirsty..." she says, eyeing me as if I were a piece of meat. Suddenly, she crumbles to the ground in a heap, and I rush over to help. But she shoves me away. "GET AWAY FROM ME!" she screams as she pushes me away, and her eyes are going from blue to red, as the red slowly starts to seep in. I can see her fangs start to protrude. She lets out a horrifying growl, and pushes me a solid 20 feet away from her, as I land on my back, tumbling till I come to a stop. I quickly get back up, and look for her, scanning the area, but she's nowhere to be seen.

"Thalia!" I scream out. I don't have my sword either, since I left it in the infirmary. Gods, that was a dumb move. I run in the direction of the woods, and I stumble through the brambles.

"Argh," Suddenly I'm thrown back the impact of something very large and solid colliding with me. I look in front of me to see a giant scorpion like creature. Hades! I forgot those things were here! I quickly scramble to my feet, and reach for my sword...which is in the infirmary. I duck as it launches another rock towards me. I find a stick and grab it, as my sole weapon of choice. The creature charges me, and I only narrowly miss the claws and the tail as it swishes above my head. So glad I still remember the basic evasive, defensive and offensive maneuvers from training. I manage to run through the forest, with it hot on my tail.

"THALIA!" I scream out, hoping she'll hear me. I turn back around, and the thing is nearly on top of me. I swipe the stick, and it collides with the head of it, sending it stumbling backwards. I take that chance to knock out the most dangerous part, the tail, which has the venom that can paralyze and kill in high doses. Now that that's done, and I can't be injected with anything, I should be ok...

"Oof!" All the air gets knocked out of me as I collide with a tree. I try to breathe in but nothing comes, and I start seeing black spots that dance across my vision. I look back up again, only to see the thing towering over me, a claw ready for the final blow.

"LUKE!" I hear something, but I slowly fade to black. The last thing I see is an electric blue color, but maybe that's just my imagination wanting to think of my Thalia before I die. Wow, how short lived my life has been. Then, darkness.

Ok, so an actual chapter. I got a really um...interesting review and it was really funny. Sorry though. It was April Fools, how could I not mess around. But anyway, this is the actual chapter. Whoo! So still thinking about how I'm going to tie this stuff in with the plot and how it's all going to fit together. Writing stories is harder than I thought it would be actually. So guys, leave comments and reviews and stuff. Um no hate please, and have a good day y'all! If you have any ideas I'd be glad to think about it and stuf and maybe add it in btw.
