EPISODE 038: ENERGY DRAIN, PART II
It had been a week since Takalon had revived and the
Ice Titan had made his move and took Usagi as a
hostage and Nitara had surrender herself to the
Ice Titan to save Usagi's life from Takalon's
claws. After Nitara had surrendered to the Ice
Titan, Usagi took the Destiny Staff with her back to
her house. Once there, Usagi became distant and withdrawn.
Sorrow overtook her now. She often thought how Nitara
sacrificed her own freedom for the sake of 'her maiden'
as Nitara often called Usagi. The Crystal Sword called
her that too. In the last week, Usagi was in complete
sorrow and anguish. Ikuko, Usagi's mother knew something
dreadfully was wrong, because Usagi was never this bad
before. Each day, Usagi asked herself "Why?" Did fate
deal her a bad hand of cards? It was one sad event
after another. Usagi was at the point of breaking.
She could no longer hold back the tears. Then one.
day, Neeblix sent Ami, Rei, Makoto, and Minako over
to watch Usagi and to see why Usagi was so withdrawn
and distant, he said, "might solve what happened to
Nitara. The key is Usagi." Neeblix spoke, that might
solve what happened to Nitara. The Ice Titan swiftly
moved that no one saw it coming. That Ami
and the others were sent over solve the riddle of
Nitara's disappearance. Mamoru and ChibiUsa came
as well. But they stayed at the doorway and watched
and observed as they heard Usagi talk to no one
in particular.
"I am useless."
Usagi spoke in calm sad voice with occasional tears coming
down crystallizing.
"I'm weak and helpless. I couldn't save her. But, she
gave herself up for me to save my life from Takalon..."
She spoke again calmly in a saddened tone. Then she heard
a voice speak as one of her tears touched her brooch.
"You're not helpless my maiden. Destiny, believes in
you. Be strong my maiden all is not lost."
The Crystal Sword spoke as it appeared.
"I couldn't save her. The Ice Titan used me as a hostage.
And I was held captive in Takalon's arms and Nitara
was forced to surrender to make sure I was set free.
The one I looked up to is gone..."
Usagi spoke to herself mainly, but the sorrow was increasing.
"I couldn't save her..."
Usagi trailed off again.
"It wasn't posed to be like this..."
She thought.
"No..."
Usagi spoke silently. The tears increased. Her heart sunk like lead.
"No..."
She spoke again in the same tone again. The tears filling her eyes
even more. It was coming, it was about to be unleashed. A great
fury of sorrow held in from the beginning she thought.
"No..."
The tears flowed more frequently now.
"NO!"
Usagi yelled with a mighty scream as all of a sudden her pink crescent
moon glowed on her forehead, her eyes glowed pink, and with a mighty
cry of anguish. A huge pulse of pink energy erupted from Usagi's body.
Mamoru saw this and transformed into the Crystal Knight and used his cape
to cover the girls from the impending flash. The wave was strong pink
pulse covered all of Tokyo within seconds. Ami and the others stood
in horror as they Usagi unleash so much energy in her sorrow. Usagi felt
so guilty in not being able to save Nitara. The pulse finally ended and
Usagi collapsed on the bed in exhaustion. her breathing heavy and her
eyes were blurred from the pulse that she sent out. Then Destiny's
staff glowed and the Destiny Orb detached itself from the staff and
floated in front of Usagi. Usagi couldn't see the Orb very well. An
image appeared in the Orb. It was an image of Crystal Sailor Destiny.
She spoke to Usagi.
"My maiden, be strong and brave! Remember, believe in yourself."
Destiny told her, but the energy pulse took its toll on Usagi.
She collapsed on her back on the bed and fainted. The Destiny
Orb floated to Rei and the others. Destiny spoke to them.
"Please cheer her up when she wakes up. That is the key for
her success."
Destiny told them. The Destiny Orb turned dark and went back to
the Destiny Staff. Rei and the others felt bad for Usagi that
she had held back so much grief. They noticed that Tsuki had
already had fainted before Usagi did. Rei and the others met
at the Hikawa Shrine. Neeblix was with them.
"So, Usagi was taken hostage and Nitara was forced to surrender
to save Usagi's life?"
Neeblix asked.
"Yes, that's what we heard Usagi say."
Ami replied feeling sad for all the hardships Usagi had faced since
the Ice Titan had first appeared on the scene.
"Still I can't believe that Usagi could unleash huge amount of energy like that."
Makoto thought being a little stunned by the recent turn of events.
"Nitara had to surrender herself to free Usagi or otherwise Usagi
would have died by the hands of Takalon."
Rei spoke in a calm voice as she thought about Usagi and her hardships.
Rei was willing to get Usagi through this. They all were.
"So, was that the Crystallina Energy Pulse?"
Ami pondered. Crystal Sailor Guardian walked into the meeting with the
Mirror Knight.
"It's close to it. That was the sorrow pulse. Very close to the Crystallina
Energy Pulse. That pulse was transmitted from all of her sorrow."
Crystal Sailor Guardian replied. Crystal Sailor Guardian knew all of
Crystallina's techniques.
"We need to let Usagi know and remind her to be strong, brave, and happy.
And she has to believe in herself or the crystal War will never end."
The Mirror Knight reminded them of Usagi's mission.
"I have this strange feeling we will be captured next, Umino and myself.
Takalon is too strong for both of us. If you see us disappeared, you
know why."
Crystal Sailor Guardian reported.
"One thing is sure, I think Takalon will be back after Usagi's
energy once she is awake and out in the open."
Neeblix reported.
"Right, The Ice Titan needs Usagi's energy to unseal Krun
Bruikas. The Ice Titan needs lots of Usagi's energy.
he needs the combined Energy of the Legendary Soldier
and the Chosen One to unseal Krun Bruikas, and only
Legendary Soldier Crystal Sailor Moon can successfully
defeat Krun Bruikas."
Crystal Sailor Guardian revealed.
"We need to make sure Usagi stays safe and not get her
energy drained."
Ami said as once more she thought about Usagi.
Over a week later, Usagi started to wake up again. Rei was
there.
"Usagi-Chan..."
Rei called to her.
"Rei-Chan? What happened?"
Usagi asked in a weakened tone.
"Don't you remember?"
Rei questioned Usagi.
"Vaguely."
Usagi replied in a weakened tone again.
"Takalon held you hostage and Nitara surrendered to free
you and you were in seclusion for a week and then in
your anguish, you let out a Sorrow Pulse."
Rei explained, then Usagi remembered.
"I see."
Usagi replied with tears coming down.
"Tears don't go well with you Odango Atama."
Rei told her in a calming way.
"Rei-Chan."
Usagi smiled a bit.
"Usagi-Chan, let me help you up."
Rei told her as she helped Usagi off the bed.
"Rei, a favor?"
Usagi asked.
"Sure, I am going to the White Room. You won't know
I was gone. I'll be back in a moment."
Usagi asked.
"Sure, I'll be here."
Rei answered. Usagi grabs her Pink Crystal from
her head and puts it her hands and transports into
the White Room. There Crystallina sees her, smiles
and talks to her. Usagi sits on the floor and stares
at her Crystal.
"Hello Usagi-Chan. Something's different about you. Something
wrong?"
Crystallina asks her.
"I don't think Nitara can come here anymore."
Usagi answered.
"What happened Usagi-Chan?"
Crystallina asks.
"The Ice Titan and Takalon took me hostage as I was on my way
with Nitara when I was captured and the Ice Titan forced
for Nitara to surrender or Takalon would rip my heart out.
Afterwards I was in seclusion for a week and in my sorrow,
I let out a sorrow pulse."
Usagi answers. Crystallina goes to where Usagi is sitting.
"Usagi-Chan, Sorrow Pulse is negative energy. It strengthens
monsters, you need positive energy. The Crystallina Energy
Pulse is a gentle wave. It heals and damages monsters.
Please promise me Usagi that you won't use it again. Promise
me! The more you use it Usagi-Chan, the dangerous the Sorrow
Pulse will be for you and for me. It'll make you weaker.
Promise me Usagi-Chan, you won't use it."
Crystallina urges her about the Sorrow Pulse.
"I won't use it Crystal-Chan."
Usagi answers her.
"Usagi. Be strong, believe, be happy, the more of these positive things
you show, the more you can rescue Nitara. Be courageous, Usagi-Chan.
Trust in me, Usagi-Chan. Trust in my power!"
Crystallina tells her as she lifts up Usagi's chin so Usagi can
see her better.
"Help me to be stronger, Crystal-Chan, I want to save her."
Usagi resolves within herself that she wants to be stronger.
"That's the way to think Usagi-Chan. The end of the Crystal
War is approaching, Usagi-Chan. You must face many trials
before you can face the Ice Titan or Krun Bruikas. You
must be strong. Think positively."
Crystallina encouraged her.
"Right. No more tears. It don't suit me anyway!"
Usagi resolved.
"That's the key Usagi-Chan! Be strong, be happy and have faith!"
Crystallina told her as she smiled.
"Thanks. I feel better. Rei's waiting for me. Crystal-Chan, thank you!"
Usagi thanked her as she left the White Room and returned back to her
room.
"You look a lot better Usagi."
Rei commented.
"Yeah. Crystallina cheered me up. No more tears. I want to go to the
Hikawa Shrine."
Usagi smiled. But Usagi had already made up her mind of what she was
planning to do. Nitara made a sacrifice for her, so she was going to
make one for the the sake of the Crystal Moon. Mamoru was outside
when Rei and Usagi went to his car.
"Hello Usako, Rei-Chan. Where to, Hikawa Shrine?"
Mamoru asked.
"Yes please."
Rei replied.
"Hop in."
Mamoru told them. He drove them to the Hikawa Shrine. once there
Neeblix, Ami, Minako, Makoto, Umino, and Naru were there. Once
there Usagi spoke up.
"Everyone, I decided something that will be the best for all."
Usagi announced.
"What is it?"
Neeblix asked.
"I decided to make a sacrifice that eventually pay off for us."
"What is it Princess?"
Neeblix pondered.
"I decided to offer my lifeforce energy to the Ice Titan, for the sake
our future."
Usagi announced. The room got quiet.
"You can't do that Usagi-Chan!"
Rei yelled.
"Oh, is it? People can make sacrifices for me, but it's not okay for
me to make sacrifices for all of us?"
Usagi was determined to do this and no one was going to tell her no.
"That's crazy Usako!"
Mamoru protested.
"It's my body and my energy and only I can fight him. None of you can!
So, by me offering my energy, I fulfill the prophecy of the Chosen
One and the Legendary Soldier defeating the Ice Kingdom. Nitara
told me to be strong and brave and to believe. So, that's what I am
going to do. I don't like my energy drained, but I have to or if the
Ice Titan had his way, he let Takalon be reckless and I won't have
that. I know you all don't approve. I know this is best for me so
I don't all of my energy drained all at once and I die. This is the
most logical way of fulfilling the prophecy."
Usagi spoke in a confident tone.
"I understand how she feels. She has a point. Only she can win the
final battle. So, by her sacrificing a little at at time the Ice
Titan will get his energy he needs and Usagi won't die from
too much energy being drained."
Naru explained. Naru didn't like it but, it was the safest way to
keep Usagi safe from too much being drained.
"You all may not think it's the best way, but it's the safe way.
Either support me in this or I do it alone. I do this not just
for myself, I am doing for the sake of all and for the sake of
Crystallina too."
Usagi tried to explain how it will benefit everyone.
"What does everybody think? It might be the best way, I may not like it.
But Usagi is willing to take a small gamble for the sake of our future."
Neeblix asked. Everyone nodded in agreement.
"Good, someone will need to go get Tsuki. Tsuki will let you know
when I will awaken if I faint after the first draining. Okay?"
Usagi asked. Everyone nodded again.
"Neeblix and Mamoru I will need you to come with me."
Usagi told them. Neeblix and Mamoru follow Usagi for
a short distance and then stop.
"ICE TITAN, TAKALON, NITARA APPEAR BEFORE ME!"
Usagi demanded. In the sky appeared the Ice Titan, Takalon, and
Nitara appeared in the sky. Nitara was in chains.
"What do you want?"
The Ice Titan asked.
"I have an offer for you that you can't possibly refuse!"
Usagi announced.
"Really?"
The Ice titan asked.
"Yes. Since you need my energy to release Krun Bruikas and only
myself as the Chosen One and the Legendary Soldier combined
can fight him, then I will donate to you my lifeforce energy
under certain rules if you agree to it. Do you understand?
I am the Crown Princess of the Crystal Moon and I won't have
any villain draining my energy recklessly and leaving me for
dead."
Usagi announced her offer.
"Ok, I'll hear your terms."
The Ice Titan replied.
"Good. You must agree to these three rules regarding my energy. It
keeps me alive, Rule 1, You may only take energy that you can use
to revive Krun Bruikas. 2, Takalon must not injure me in any fashion
or you get no energy. Simple as that. And 3, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter,
and Venus are the last ones of my soldiers I will allow you to take.
They will collect my comatose body after each transfer. I sense your
master requires a lot of energy to be free, so you may drain only
my energy to keep me alive. Once you have you have met your quota,
you may not have no more energy of mine. Nitara told me to be strong
and brave, so I will silently endure each energy drain so, both your
and my objectives may be met Ice Titan. You kept your word last time
by freeing me and taking Nitara captive, I hope you show mercy on me
that one day, you and I may face each others finally."
Usagi reveals her terms to the Ice Titan.
"Fine, I will agree to those terms."
The Ice Titan agreed.
"Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, and Venus, prepare to collect my comatose body
once the energy transfer is complete. Crystal Guards and Crystal Guardians
appear!"
Usagi commands the Crystal Sailors to collect her body and the Crystal Guards
and the Crystal Guardians appear.
"Crystal Guards and Crystal Guardians. Protect my weak body after the transfer.
Keep me safe. When Tsuki arrives, protect her too."
Usagi commands them.
"Okay."
The Crystal Guardians and the Crystal Guards their task and they agree. Usagi
goes to Takalon and turns towards her friends and closes her eyes and silently
endures the first of many energy drains. Everyone watches as Takalon embraces
Usagi from behind and carefully drains her energy. After almost ten minutes
of draining Usagi's energy, Takalon is done and goes back to his master with
a large bottle of silvery white energy. Mars and Jupiter catches Usagi's
comatose body and take inside and The Ice Titan, Takalon, and Nitara leave
the shrine. The Crystal Guards and Crystal Guardians activate a force field
around the comatose body of Usagi and her Pink Crystal starts recharging
her body for the next energy drain.
"I hope she knows what she is doing."
Naru thinks out loud.
"Me too."
Neeblix agrees. More energy drains for Usagi to come. Will she be able to
handle all of the energy drains? Be there!

Next on Crystal Princess, The Ice Titan arrives again to take more energy from
Usagi and also Naru and Umino, as well as Haruka, Michiru, Setsuna, and Setsuna
surrender for the sake of Usagi fulfilling the prophecy of the Chosen One
and the Legendary Soldier. Be there!
