I wanted to note that I updated chapter 3, there are a few changes with Kise's interview...so read back to see the changes! But I wanna thank you guys for keeping up with this story, since I'm so busy and my update dates are always pretty random and late. Now to continue... CHAPTER 4 START!

It has been a week since Kyou started working at Kaijou High, and her first week has been a success!

The classes had gone smoothly (there were minimal outbursts from the students) and Kyou was even able to befriend her students.

At some point she even received the nickname of 'Kyou-chan-sensei' from both the students and teachers. Which Kyou had unenthusiastically accepted, wondering why she had such a childish nickname.

Other than that embarrassing nickname, it was a pleasant place to work. Kyou loved teaching her students the wonderful language of English and what made her work even better was having Kyou's 'beloved' senpai working with her.

At first it took Kyou some time to even associate herself with Kasamatsu-senpai, since there seemed to be some sort of awkward tension between them. If you were to describe the atmosphere, it would be as if Kyou was buying a box of pads in front of a male cashier...very, very awkward.

They would coincidentally meet each other in the hallway, resulting senpai to jokingly tease Kyou about her nickname, meet in a café and have tea together, and to Kyou occasionally watching the basketball practices he was coaching.

And as if ten years hasn't passed, it became as if nothing changed.

But despite Kyou's great week full of friendship mending and English teaching, it was Friday and is now 5:00 p.m. She was happily humming down the hallway, receiving curious stares and amused smiles from her students, saying her goodbyes as she headed for the teachers' lounge.

Opening the sliding door, Kyou strolled inside, but to see the usual commotion that was happening in the teachers' lounge..

The lounge was bustling with noise, as everybody was either frantically grading papers or getting their materials together for the last period of the day. Walking to her desk, Kyou started packing up her stuff and a bunch of papers that she had to grade, before heading home.

You must be wondering why Kyou was heading home so early, when everybody else are so busy. Well lucky for her, Kyou's off-period was coincidentally the last period! Making it so that she could leave work early.

"See you tomorrow Kyou-chan-sensei." Her fellow colleagues said with a nod, as they said their goodbyes.

"Thanks for your help today everyone. I really appreciate it! See you tomorrow," Kyou smiled at her colleagues before heading out the door.

But standing before her was Kasamatsu-senpai, blocking the doorway with a idiotic smile on his face. "Senpai...can you move out of the way before I beat you up!?"

Kasamatsu gave Kyou an amused smile. "Sorry, I just wanted to see if you wanted to go home together. It looks like you were in a rush."

Blushing a little from senpai's comment, Kyou playfully punched him in his arm. "Mou! Senpai, you really have to stop teasing me! I really am in a rush!"

"I'll get out of you way now Kyou, but are you sure you can reach home safely?" Kasamatsu questioned, as he stepped away from the door, not really wanting Kyou to go alone.

"I-I'll be fine! I can protect myself after all, and don't you have a team you should be coaching before the Inter High senpai?" Kyou said knowingly. Kasamatsu smiling at her before heading out first.

"That's true, I have to whip these guys into shape before worrying about you Kyou."

Smiling, Kyou replied, "Good! That's the Kasamatsu-senpai that I know! See you tomorrow senpai! Good luck in the Winter Cup."

Ruffling her hair, Kasamatsu leaned down, with only 5 inches separating them, he smiled. "Make sure you get home safely okay?" And with that, he turned around and left.

Still remembering the close proximity between them, Kyou's face soon began to heat up. Smoothing out her teal blue hair as Kyou watched his retreating figure, she mumbled, "Baka senpai..."

After their goodbye, Kyou started to walk down the stairs and head towards the school gates.

Arriving at the front gate, she flipped open her phone and checked the time.

"5:13... Yosh! I have 17 minutes till I have work!"

Kyou was on her way towards a very prestigious condominium in the heart of Tokyo. She was suppose to go and fill in for a co-worker of hers, because she suddenly needed to go back to her family since her child was sick. As a mother, Kyou understood and agreed to take her shift as added obligation which would help her apartment funds. Kyou was working as a housekeeper for an agency during the weekends, while during the weekdays Kyou was also working as a English teacher.

Kyou didn't tell anyone about her part time job other than for Tetsu and Satsuki. They tried to convince Kyou otherwise, but she was stubborn and told them that she wanted to take another job. Kyou started taking up two jobs since she had gotten the idea of getting an apartment. She didn't want to be a bother to Tetsu and Satsuki, so moving out and getting a small apartment for just her and Kyouta has been Kyou's most recent goal. But first, the problem of getting the money.

Kyou grabbed a cab and she soon arrived at the condominium Minami-Azabu Tower.

Stepping out of the cab, Kyou turned towards the driver and gave him the money. She then headed inside, and walked towards the receptionist.

"Excuse me, I'm the new housekeeper for the owner of 5-2-5 unit, can you show me how to get there?"

The receptionist who once had an accommodating smile, instantly turning to a frown. Kyou could see that she was observing her as she was eyeing Kyou head to toe.

"Yes...right this way." She said, giving Kyou an icy smile as she led her towards the elevator.

Kyou pressed the penthouse, the elevator doors opened as she stepped inside, feeling the elevator start to move up, as the pleasant sound of Chopin Nocturne Op.9 No.2 filled the elevator. The sound of the piece instantly soothed her, the image of that prickly receptionist and the thoughts of why the heck she was treating her so horribly left Kyou's mind as she quietly stood there in peace, waiting for the elevator to arrive to its destination.

Finally reaching the top penthouse, Kyou stepped out, and rang the door bell.

Nobody answered, Kyou pushed her ear towards the door to hear if anybody was really in there, but silence. She took out a piece of paper the agency had given her with all the information about the condominium and entered the door lock combination, the door opened as she stepped inside.

Entering the unit, Kyou was utterly amazed by how huge it was. Judging by the size of the living room, it could be as big or even bigger than Tetsu's house and that was the living room alone. With the elegant furnishing and beautiful decor, it was as if the drawing of Kyou's dream house came into life. She always imagined a place like this for her future family, but as of now, that dream was totally impossible.

"Hello? Is anybody home?" Kyou asked, but got no response. "Probably at work..." Kyou guessed, as she started putting on an apron and pulling her hair up into a high ponytail, "might as well start cleaning, since a unit this big will take some time to be spotless." Kyou said, as she grabbed some Windex.

Within a few hours of cleaning, Kyou was finally able to finish. Wiping a sweat off her brow, as Kyou looked proud at the sparkling unit. The only room she was unable to clean was the bedroom, which was locked. "I guess that's where the owner keeps their personal stuff..." Kyou mumbled, taking off her apron as she slowly pulled off her hair tie, Kyou's teal blue locks slowly cascading down her back.

Kyou sat down on a kitchen stool, resting her head against the sleek granite counter as she slowly closed her eyes. To say Kyou was tired was a complete understatement, she was exhausted.

"I never thought a unit this big, would be such a challenge." Kyou peeked her head to look at the clock mounted on top of the refrigerator. "Well the owner must be coming home at any moment now so I guess I should start making dinner," Kyou said to no one in particular, as she stood up and started pulling out some pots and pans.

"I hope the owner likes a ichiju-sansai* dinner."

"I finally get to go home!" Kise huffed as he plopped inside his limo and directed the driver to drive him home. For the past few weeks since he has arrived in Tokyo, he was flooded with work. Attending interviews, modeling, photo shoots, to basketball practice, Kise has been extremely busy. With only time to sleep he hasn't even had a decent meal in weeks, forcing Kise to eat Chinese takeout and burgers most of the time.

He received an email from his manager with his new schedule and a reminder that he will be having a new housekeeper. His old one was on a leave to take care of her child so there was a need for a replacement. Kise smiled as he could remember the cheerful old lady that had kept his place tidy for the last few weeks.

"I wonder how the new one is doing? I hope she is as hard-working as the old one," Kise muttered under his breath.

"We've arrived sir." The driver announced, as they arrived in the front lobby of Minami-Azabu Towers.

"All right, thank you Kenta," Kise replied as he stepped out of the limo and headed for the lobby.

Kise went inside of Minami-Azabu Tower and was greeted by a blushing receptionist. He returned the greeting and smiled, making the receptionist swoon as she hurried back to the front desk. Kise then proceeded for the penthouse, stepping inside the elevator as the sound of Chopin Nocturne Op.9 No.2 reached his ears.

Kise let out a bitter smile. "I remember that she used to love this piece," Kise mumbled as he kept listening to the music until he arrived to the penthouse floor.

When he was at the front door, he typed in the door lock combination and entered the unit. From the door, his nose was flooded with the scent of fresh home cooking, as his stomach rumbled in response. Kise saw a pair of white heels neatly put by the side of the door.

"I guess the new one isn't as bad...the food smells good already." Kise mumbled softly, as he went to the dining room to see that the table was all set with the food ready to be eaten. Grabbing a pair of chopsticks, Kise picked up a piece of grilled fish and steamed lotus root and tasted the meal that his new housekeeper had prepared.

Kise smiled, the meal was quite simple but was absolutely delicious! I should go thank the new housekeeper before she goes, Kise thought as he headed for the kitchen.

Kyou heard the front door open and some rustling in the dining area. That must be the owner, Kyou thought as she quickly brushed her skirt and combed her hair with her fingers, wanting to look presentable when she introduce herself.

Kyou walked the kitchen but was unaware that Kise was about to enter the doorway. The two of them didn't notice each other's presence until they reached the doorway and their faces were inches from each other. Kyou let out a squeak while Kise was taken by surprise.

Kyou lost her footing as she slowly fell backwards, on instinct Kyou tried to grab the closest object near her. Unaware that she clutched onto Kise's shirt, they both fell down. Kyou was waiting for a sudden feel of impact to reach her back, but to feel an arm gripping her back protectively as the arm soon reached impact with the floor.

Kyou's landed on her back and her hands still clutched onto Kise's shirt as Kise's arm was tentatively wrapped around her back, a hand landing on the other side of her head.

They finally got a good look on each other and their eyes widened as they finally realized who was in front of them.

Kyou!? Kise thought with surprise clear on his face.

Ryouta! Kyou thought as fear suddenly appear in her heart.

Caribbean blue orbs stared deep into golden orbs, as they continued to stare at each other with shock and confusion.

Kyou recovered first as she gently pushed Kise away from their 'compromising' position. Kise continued to stare at the girl for a few minutes, staying in silence while his mind was in chaos.

What's going on here? That's Kyou! Why is she here!? Kise thought as his mind was going through an infinite loop.

Kyou slowly stood up and fixed herself. There was an immediate blush staining her cheeks as Kyou then bowed her head low, low enough so that he didn't see the look of shock and fear evident on her face. "I'm sorry for intruding." And with that, Kyou quickly fled.

Kyou then ran out quickly, grabbing her bags before she headed out for the door. Kise stood there in shock and stepped back, his step faltering as he grabbed the counter to steady him. His hand running through his golden blonde hair, as he could not believe what had just happened. He then remembered the sound of the door slamming which would signal Kyou's departure. Kise suddenly felt the need to confront her, to see her beautiful face, to say he was sorry. He missed her for ten years and now that she has suddenly appeared before his eyes, she disappeared? No, Kise would not let go of her hand ever again.

He bolted out of the door as he slammed the door open with force. Kise could see Kyou's retreating figure as she headed for the elevator.

"Kyou! Wait!" Kise yelled as he ran towards Kyou.

But it was too late. Kise was just in front of her as the elevator door closed. Kise cursed loudly as he slammed his fist on the elevator door, before waiting for another elevator to come.

Finally arriving, Kise hurried inside, furiously pushing the people aside as he quickly hit the lobby. "C'mon c'mon...this may be the last chance I can see her!"

Kyou was trying to get outta there as fast as she could, finally arriving at the lobby, She ran out the door and flagged down a cab.

"Kyou! Kyou!" She could hear Kise yelling after her, but Kyou was as frantic as hell. Quickly turning towards the driver with fear in her eyes, Kyou said, "Just go! Anywhere from here! But go! Quickly!" And with that said, the cab sped off at a tremendous speed.

Kise finally reaching the entrance of Minami-Azabu Towers, fell to the floor as he huffed huge intakes of air and was sweating like crazy. Finally able to catch his breath, Kise could only stare at the retreating cab as it sped off, leaving Kise full of anger and sorrow.

Looking at the night sky with tears forming on his golden eyes, Kise yelled, "Damn it!"

( ichiju-sansai* ): "one soup, three sides". Since the staple of the Japanese diet is rice, this consists of a bowl of rice (or occasionally, soba or udon noodles), a bowl of soup (usually miso) and three okazu (side dishes such as vegetables or fish).
