What's poppin' peeps? Last chapter, Owen and Brooklyn went on a double date with Fate and CJ and they had a double battle, where Frogadier evolved into Greninja. This chapter will revolve around Frank and Team Grim, so it has a much more violent outcome. If you don't want to read about anyone getting killed, skip this chapter and just read the A/N at the end. Let's get going!
MCMXCV: I actually didn't plan on many, if any explosions, but now there are going to be a ton just because you brought that up ;)
SomeGuy: The evolution was really lackluster, and I'll be the first to say it, but I felt there was some kind of urgency being placed on evolving Frogadier, so I did it in the first opportunity I got. And that was a really in-depth review, kudos to you for being able to find so much stuff in it :)
Elodus: You have no idea. It feels like I've been writing this arc for a year! And they won't really argue about any stupid things (except maybe to start a few chapters), but their relationship will be pretty dangerous to everyone later in the story. Also, I really like the predictions! Team Grim will have their hands all over this arc, so you're right about that, and you got the concept of chapter 40 right, though I haven't decided on the Pokemon

The forest looked like a sea of green, and the trees were the size of ants as Frank sat in a chair in the Team Grim carrier ship. In front of the chair was a large glass window, and behind Frank were two cases of winding stairs that led to a dining room, kitchen, and many other amenities. Two grunts were standing behind Frank like security guards, but they said nothing as his Dragonite was released from his Pokeball.
"Dragonite, the day has finally arrived," Frank said poetically as he rose from his chair and leaned against the glass without any fear of falling. "This wretched region will crumble under my might, and I will soon be the ruler!" the man screamed while holding his arms in the air. Dragonite nodded at his master's words and looked through the glass to see an enormous building in the distance.
"Lord Frank, we're two minutes from the destination," a man with black skulls tattooed on his arms informed Frank as he put his black hood down and bowed. Frank turned with his Dragonite and nodded, making the man stand straight.
"Thank you, Spike. Get Viviana and tell her to prepare the assault," Frank ordered. Spike nodded at the command and put his hood up as he turned and walked up the staircase, searching for the woman named Viviana.
"It's only a matter of time. I will finally claim my throne." Frank looked back at the glass and saw that the large building was becoming even bigger, and Dragonite began to flap his wings anxiously.
"Easy, Dragonite. Save your energy for our Mega Evolution. I doubt this will take long, but it's better to err on the side of caution," Frank told his Pokemon, who nodded obediently and looked at his master before turning and staring at the same object outside.
"Lord Frank, you called me?" a woman asked as she walked into the room with a Machamp by her side. The fighting type knelt down while his trainer bowed after removing her black hood - just like had Spike had done and was doing - before standing up when Frank nodded.
"Yes. You, Spike, and I will go on this mission alone. Backup won't be needed, but Mega Evolution will," Frank informed Viviana and Spike, who both nodded and pulled out the black Pokeballs that were needed to Mega Evolve artificially. "Their defense is a joke, so we won't have to exert all of our energy."
"Lord Frank, we've arrived at the position," a grunt called from the top of the stairs, making Frank laugh excitedly.
"Good, good. Dragonite, return. Spike, Viviana, it's time." Frank led the two admins up the stairs and to the front of the carrier ship, which had opened. They were on the ground, so the three members of Team Grim stepped out of their ship and walked towards the front gate.
"Machamp, bend the bars," Viviana ordered. The four armed fighting type nodded and placed two hands on each bar before widening the gaps, allowing his master and the two other thugs to walk through and stand in front of Parfum Palace. Frank turned to his admins and stuck his Pokeball out, prompting Spike to do the same. The two men released their Pokemon, and they looked at the front doors of the palace with mischievous grins. All at the same time, the leader and admins of Team Grim pressed the center button on the Pokeballs, enveloping their Pokemon in dark aura while their eyes turned pure white. Even though there weren't many visual differences between artificially Mega Evolved Pokemon and normal Pokemon, their strength was nearly tripled, making them unstoppable.
"Let's do this," Frank said to himself before pointing at the doors of the palace. "Dragonite, use Dragon Rush to knock down the doors!" In a nanosecond, Dragonite was surrounded by blue energy that took the shape of a dragon, and the pseudo legendary slammed into the doors, knocking them down on contact. "Plow through with Dragonbreath and burn everything in your path!" the man shouted as he charged into Parfum Palace with his workers right beside him.
"Gyarados, use Hydro Pump and flood the entire first floor! Make sure no one escapes!" Spike commanded as he hopped onto his Pokemon's back. The Gyarados roared viciously before disappearing into a hallway, and a wav of water splashed into the main room as Frank and Viviana ran up the stairs that led to the second floor, which was where they hoped to be.
"Machamp, stay close and take out any guards that come at us," the woman ordered. The fighting type nodded, and he lunged when a knight ran down the hall along with a Furfrou. The four armed Pokemon grabbed both of the attackers by the neck and roared as he squeezed his hands as tight as he possibly could, making a loud crack echo through the hall.
As Frank continued running down the red carpeted hall, he saw Dragonite fly towards him, and the two grabbed each other's hands before Dragonite threw Frank onto his back, and they zipped through the hall while Viviana's Machamp killed every knight and Furfrou that charged at him.
"Dragonite, make a left at the end of the hall and then a sharp right. We're approaching the target!" Dragonite somehow managed to perform a perfect set of turns despite flying at over two hundred miles per hour, and the dragon landed on the ground when he saw a large, steel door sitting in front of him. Waves and waves of knights - at least fifty of them - were waiting with their swords raised while Frank cackled at their idiocy. Dragonite merely grinned like a demon as the dark aura surrounding his body began to rise.
"You will not reach our king!" the lead knight proclaimed. "You'll have to kill us if you want any chance of getting in there!" Frank and Dragonite looked at one another and cracked their knuckles upon hearing the words fly from the knights mouth.
"That's just what we wanted to hear. Dragonite, use Dragon Rush and kill these idiots!" Dragonite nodded and the dark aura surrounding his body shaped into a dragon's body and head before he plowed through the knights, making sure he hit them in the head as hard as he could so that they'd die on impact. After he overpowered the waves of soldiers, Frank looked at the fallen men and smirked as none of them had lived.
"Lord Frank, are you alright?" Spike inquired as he rode in on his Gyarados while Viviana ran forward with her Machamp.
"I'm fine, thank you. We just need to get this door open-" before the leader could finish, Viviana's Machamp walked forward and placed all four of his hands on the door before ripping it off its hinges without any effort. "Well, that was easier than expected," the man joked before walking forward. As he walked by Machamp he patted the Pokemon on the back and walked into the large room that had bookshelves on the back walls along with a desk. There were two chairs in front of the desk while one was behind it, and a large, round man sat behind the desk.
"Wh-Who are you fiends!?" the man screamed while trembling. Frank smirked and turned to Spike and Viviana before looking back at the pudgy man trembling before him.
"You didn't get the message? We're the new authority of Kalos. Your time is up," Frank spat. The man lowered in his seat after each word, but he stood up and slammed his hands on his desk as Frank walked forward with his Dragonite. "I'm the new King."
"Is that a threat? As the King of Ka-"
"Father!" a girl shouted as she ran into the room and to the man's side. His eyes trembled as he looked over at Frank with a terrified expression, and he dropped to his knees.
"Please, don't do anything to my daughter. You can kill me, just don't do anything to her!" the King pleaded. His daughter, Elizabeth, stared at Frank and began to back away in an attempt to get out of the room, but Viviana's Machamp blocked the way out, trapping her inside.
"Could you repeat that?" Frank asked politely, which scared the King.
"I said you can kill me-"
"Okay." Frank quickly took a pistol off his belt and shot the pleading man in the head, killing him instantly and leaving his daughter in shock. The young girl fell to the ground and looked at Frank, his admins, and their Pokemon, all of whom were fixated on her.
"What do you plan on doing with me?" Elizabeth quizzed fearfully, not knowing what kind of response she'd get from Frank.
"Well, you're a part of the Royal Family, aren't you? That means you're the heir to the throne," Frank started as he began walking back and forth. "I could lock you away and say I killed you." Elizabeth let out a sigh of relief, though her situation was still undesirable. "But that's no fun, is it now? I want you to beg for your life." The tattooed man pointed his pistol at Elizabeth, and the girl dropped to the ground and began to beg.
"Please, please, please, don't kill me. I swear I'll never become the Queen, and I will do anything you ask me to. Just don't ki-"
BANG!
Well, this doesn't look good, does it? Frank and his two admins, both of whom Owen has encountered, just took control of Parfum Palace by themselves and Frank executed the Royal Family without hesitation. It looks like this region is as good as done with him at the helm, and things are only going to get worse as this arc continues. If there are any glaring typos, I apologize. It's 11:00pm by me and I'm really tired, so I'll fix them tomorrow. Till next time, peace out.
