"brother, i am back"
I looked up from my gun to the smiling eyes of liechtenstein, and nodded although inside i was dreading wiping that smile away. she moved towards the stairs with her bag in hand
"hey lichtenstein, um..."
she turned
"yes brother?"
"I, i need…"
she frowned a little when she noticed me stuttering
"whats wrong brother?"
shit i can't do this
"I need some … cheese! yea i need to go shopping for dinner still!"
she looked at me unconvinced.
"Will you come with me? if we run into that austria you are better at talking with him then me."
"of course i don't mind, but is that really-"
"yes thats all thats wrong with me, leave your bag and we will go."
she nodded, placed her bag next to the stairs and we left

(still vashe's POV)
we sat at the table the fondue simmering between us. the shopping trip had went smoothly with no sight of any other countries. now lili filled in the scilience of dinner with light hearted stories of some of the antics she had been involved in with her friends at the party. even with my dark mood i couldn't help but be amused when i heard that hungary still had the habit of beating on prussia with the frying pan. a very useful habit in my opinion. someday though she would hit him too hard and he could be in serious trouble. he is after all, no longer a country. the image of liechtenstein being hit too hard and laying in a bed hanging on to the life she thought would go on forever blinded me and i froze almost choking on my food. i was so startled by this thought i missed lichtenstein speaking to me until i looked up into her expectant face.
"im sorry, what did you say?"
"i was wondering if you were done?"
"yes, thank you for the meal."
"you were staring into space. is something wrong?"
"o-oh no, not really"
"very well"
she got up to leave
"wait lichtenstein, i need to talk to you."
she nodded and sat back down.
"liechtenstein i talked to my boss today and it has been brought to their attention that y-"
"i what brother?"
"y-you…"
"did i do something wrong?" she asked sadly
"you may be being targeted by germany. prussia has been seen around your lands. be careful, even if he offers to let you pet his bird don't go anywhere with him. hes dangerous!"
"yes brother i understand. as you say 'prussia is a idiot, france is to be treated like a plague, and spain is hiding under a bumbling exterior." she repeated.
i nodded glad she remembered my lessons (not aware that she actually found those three more amusing than dangerous)
"very well, you must be tired so i will clean up tonight."
"ok then, goodnight brother"
i watched her disappear into her room and groaned. she must think im mental now, and maybe i am. when did i become so spineless? I should have said something by now, so why can't i?
pinching the bridge of my nose i sighed, deflating as i deflated in my chair.
Sure losing the connection between your country would be hard but she would be under my protection. Taken care of, and no responsibilities. I would just have to show that this is her best option. But how do I go about mentioning it? I sat there for a few moments considering what I should do. Finally it dawned on me and I jumped up victoriously. Tomorrow I would give her the best day of her life and she would realize that yes, it would be better to assimilate herself. After all she once said that she was happy being by my side and that she wanted to stay here forever. Well once she is assimilated she can be. Her country will become a part of me. Surely she will be happy right? And the more I thought about it the better I felt about asking her. And with a much lighter weight on my back I went to bed after all, tomorrow was going to be a busy day.
