Theme Song

The dark has lost and peace has won (Owen and Charizard look out at Lumiose City from the top of Prism Tower)
Push ahead, go on and run (Owen hops on Charizard's back and Charizard uses Flamethrower on the camera)
Your family's gone, you must stand tall (Ariel and Catherine look like ghosts and put their hands on Owen's shoulders, and he's smiling while tears come to his eyes)
The love's still there, so you won't fall (Brooklyn and the others stand by Owen's sides, and they start running towards the championship stadium at the Kalos League/Grand Festival)
Make them proud and don't look back (A short mantage of Owen battling his rivals with Chesnaught, Greninja, and Tyrantrum celebrating)
Stay strong, go ahead and attack! (All ten of Owen's Pokemon jump in front of him)
When it's lost your bond grows strong (Gengar slowly gets off the ground and Mega Evolves)
Don't second-guess you aren't in wrong (Owen's six strongest Pokemon stare across a battlefield with grins)
And when it's done, you'll move on... Pokemon! (Owen turns around and sees all of his old traveling partners and Pokemon)

Kalos Adventure is now the longest story I've written, as of this chapter! Now that that's out of the way... it's time for the Kalos League! I've been waiting for this since beginning the story, and it's going to be the best league of all the stories, at least in my opinion. This chapter, Owen will go through the typical introduction chapter and meet up with all of his rivals once again, and the tournament will officially start next chapter. Now, let's get going! Also, I decided to add onto the Theme Song because it's a new arc :) (There are only two lines, but whatever)

MerlockVonBaron: That's good to hear, and thanks for understanding :)

Defender31415: Yeah, it was really fast. And no, there are still around (not including this chapter or any epilogue chapters) 10-15 chapters remaining, depending on my sticking to the outline

Emboar-Man: I have no idea, haha. I'd assume she would learn a new move if she evolved

guest: I think you will end up liking him, but even if you don't, you'll definitely respect him as both a character and trainer.

Breana (guest): Diantha was killed by Frank in chapter 55

MCMXCV: Oh yeah, this is going to be the best league yet. There'll probably be a filler or two along the way, but I think that'll add to the hype of the next match

SomeGuy (guest): I know, right? He has a Russian name, but he didn't have any Russian accent (kinda like Fantina in Sinnoh with her being French). And I'll definitely slow down writing (or at least make it more detailed) because I want to do Owen's last league some justice. And lol, I cracked up when I read the end of your review XD

Guest: It depends, really. If I think all of Owen's Kalosian Pokemon have gotten enough attention I'll throw in some of Owen's under appreciated Pokemon from other regions. If they are added, there will be one from Kanto, either one or two from Johto, and one from Hoenn

ShadowDragon9000: Me too! You have no idea how hype it is to write the league battles (I'd hope it'd be the same reading), and I'll definitely be giving this my all!

Shion Rasenka: Very good points about last chapter. I'm really looking forward to this league because it's the best part of every story (for the most part), and I haven't even thought about who will be in the new E4, but the Champion will be surprising

Elodus: The Grand Festival and Kalos League will both be in this arc, with one final arc wrapping up the series. I didn't want to reveal ever chapter title of the arc because then people would figure out how far Owen would make it in the league and the same with Daniel and Brooklyn in the Grand Festival. There will also be a few epilogue chapters that aren't completely set in stone. I know there will be at least one (which I already wrote during my most recent hiatus), and I'll continue pushing those out until I run out of ideas

After a daylong trek via boat, the group had finally arrived at the Kalos League. Professor Sycamore had given Owen all of his Pokemon, and the teen was more than excited for the league. Owen bolted into the Pokemon Center, but he slammed into a line of people that were waiting in front of Nurse Joy.

"What the? Why are there so many people here!?" Owen screamed as he checked his Pokedex. "I'm two weeks ahead of time!"

"No you're not," the trainer in front of him stated. "That's the end date, not the beginning." The trainer turned around and muttered something under his breath while Owen looked at the Kalos League website and nearly screamed when he saw the person he had talked to was right.

"Well, at least we're not too late to sign up. Right, Greninja?" Owen asked the water frog, who nodded in agreement. Shortly after that incident, Owen made his way to Nurse Joy and smiled as he handed her his Pokedex. "I'm here for the Kalos League," the teen informed the pink haired woman, who smiled at the information.

"Okay, let me take one second to verify that you collected all eight badges." After putting his Pokedex into a machine, Nurse Joy looked up at a monitor that showed Owen's picture, the pictures of all his Pokemon - including Blaziken - and the eight Kalos badges. "You're all set, Mr. Plateau! Good luck at the league!" the woman exclaimed with a smile. Owen and Greninja bowed thankfully and made their way out of the Pokemon Center and met Daniel, Eddy, Cindy, and Brooklyn. The four were sitting on a bench just outside of the Pokemon Center, and they all rose to their feet when they saw Owen.

"Alright, the rooms are apparently right next to the stadiums," Owen said while looking down at his PokeGear. "Do you guys want to check them out?"

"Sure, why not?" Daniel replied. With that, the group began walking towards their room while passing hundreds of stores and stands where tourists had swarmed to, making it difficult to pass through. Greninja had no problem, however, as he slammed his hand on the ground and disappeared past the crowd while he left his trainer and the others to fight through the tourists.

"Is it always this crowded?" Cindy shouted before managing to escape the crowd. She then looked behind her and saw everyone else had fallen on the ground while trying to force their ways through. Once they all got up, Owen led the way towards the housing complex. Once they arrived, everyone gasped in awe at the beautiful set of buildings. There were three large buildings that looked like they had been renovated, and there was a section for battlefields, another with swimming pools, a dining area for every trainer, and a Pokemon Center right in front of all three buildings.

"This is so much nicer than the Unova League," Brooklyn said as she walked alongside Owen into the Pokemon Center, where they received the key to their room. "So what are we doing today?" the fifteen year old asked as she, Owen, Daniel, Cindy, Eddy, and Greninja walked into their enormous room, which was more of an apartment. The entertainment room was the first thing people would walk into, and there was an open floor design. A flight of winding stairs led to the second floor where everyone's rooms were, and Greninja flopped onto the couch in front of an enormous flat screen TV.

"Come on out, everyone!" Owen shouted while tossing the nine other Pokeballs in the air. Charizard, Butterfree, Pikachu, Tyrantrum, Hawlucha, Gengar, Chesnaught, Slurpuff, and Blaziken appeared in front of Owen, and they immediately ran around the apartment, making their trainer laugh. Brooklyn and Daniel then released their Pokemon, and they also started running around the apartment.

"Hey, check it out!" Eddy shouted while pointing at the TV, which he had just turned on. Everyone looked at the large screen and stared as pictures of a waterpark appeared, and Eddy's eyes lit up with excitement. "We've gotta go!" he shouted before running into his room. Cindy and Daniel followed Eddy and ran into their rooms to get changed while Owen and Brooklyn shook their heads at the group before sitting on the couch that Greninja had hopped off of when he heard about the waterpark.

"Do you want to get lunch?" the girl asked before Owen's stomach growled, making her giggle. "I'll take that as a yes," she said while rising from her seat. After making sure their Pokemon weren't going to do anything stupid, Owen and Brooklyn left their room and made their way to the food court, where they were allowed to eat for free thanks to Owen competing in the league.

"Oh man, I forgot how good the food was at these things," Owen sang as he dug into a tray of wings along with Brooklyn, who was eating even faster than him. "I wish I could stay here forever!"

"You might want to slow down, you don't want to get sick before the first round," a voice advised. Owen and Brooklyn turned to see Moe and his Clauncher standing near them, and the trainer had a stupid grin on his face. "What's up? I haven't seen you guys in a while!"

"Moe! It's awesome to see you again," Owen told the older boy. Moe nodded with a smile along with Clauncher, who began snapping his claw frantically. "What's up with him?"

"Oh, Clauncher was hoping to get a battle with Greninja again. He wants to break the tie they have," Moe informed Owen with a confident grin. Owen looked down at Clauncher and grinned at the Pokemon.

"Don't worry, I'm confident you'll get your rematch, Clauncher," Owen told the water type, who snapped his claw joyfully.

"I'll catch you guys later, we've got some training to do!" Moe exclaimed before running towards the battlefields, Clauncher following close behind. Owen shook his head at Moe's eagerness to train instead of relaxing, but he continued to eat with Brooklyn before they decided they had enough.

"Where to next?" Owen quizzed as he and his girlfriend strolled around the courtyard, where trainers went to socialize. Brooklyn shrugged and looked around at the shrubbery, occasionally drawing glances from passing male trainers. They finally stopped when they had reached the Pokemon Park, a playground designed specifically for Pokemon. "This is cool. I never thought there would be something like this."

"I know, right? And all of the Pokemon are getting along so well," Brooklyn said while looking around at the joyous Pokemon.

"Chespin!" Owen and Brooklyn turned to see a boy running after his Chespin frantically until the grass type stopped in front of Owen and smiled at the trainer. Brooklyn looked on in confusion as Owen knelt down and began speaking with the Pokemon as if they had met before, and then a boy walked over while panting.

"Long time no see, Tyler," Owen greeted while standing straight up and looking down at the younger trainer, who smiled.

"Hey! It's good to see you got here, though I shouldn't have expected anything less," the rookie trainer said before laughing and rubbing the back of his head. "So how did your team come along? Froakie's gotten a lot stronger since we met," Tyler informed Owen, who grinned at the information.

"That's great to hear! Hopefully we get to battle again," Owen said to the younger boy before walking away and waving. Tyler waved back and walked in the opposite direction, leaving Owen and Brooklyn by themselves again.

"I don't remember you battling him," the girl said, trying to make Owen tell her about Tyler.

"Oh yeah, that was my first month in Kalos. I don't really know what happened to him. He kind of disappeared off the face of the Earth," Owen replied, shrugging as he did so. Brooklyn nodded at the information, and the couple walked past the courtyard once again, and then they swung by the practice battlefields, where they saw three familiar faces training.

"Oh come on, you two! Who else am I going to train with if you're not in the mood to?" a girl asked two other boys. Owen and Brooklyn walked over to the trio and smiled when they knew exactly who they were.

"Maria, we've been helping you train for the past week, nonstop. We need to take a break," Nova told her while sweating and falling on his rear end. "Oh, Owen and Brooklyn! What's up?" Maria and Inferno turned to see the couple walking over and they smiled at them.

"It sounds like you've been working these two pretty hard," Brooklyn joked, making Maria laugh while Inferno and Nova nodded with looks of exhaustion. "So how did things go for you after Laverre City?"

"Smooth sailing," Inferno replied calmly while wiping sweat from his brow. "What about you guys? Did anything interesting happen?" Owen and Brooklyn looked at each other as if Inferno were crazy and had been living under a rock, but they decided to answer the same way he did.

"No, nothing at all," they replied in unison. The teens continued to talk until Maria wanted to get back to training, prompting Owen and Brooklyn to leave.

"Oh crap, the league meeting's in an hour, we better get going," Owen said while hurrying to the apartment. After he and Brooklyn arrived, got all of their Pokemon, changed, and gathered the others, they bolted towards the stadium, and Owen walked into the trainer room while his traveling partners were put in V.I.P seating along with anyone else who traveled with the competitors.

"So we meet again," Moe joked as he walked over to Owen with a cheesy grin. Clauncher was by his side at usual, and Greninja was out along Owen's side. The two water type's glared at each other before nodding respectfully and then talking as if they were friends, which confused their trainers. "Dude, I'm ready for this. We've been training for almost a month now, and there's no way we're going to lose!"

"Hey, you can't count me out!" Owen and Moe turned to see Tyler walking over with a smile and Chespin on his shoulder, and Owen introduced him to Moe. "So are you guys ready? I'm too excited for this," he said as a girl passed by and waved for him to join her. Owen assumed it was someone Tyler had traveled with, and he walked away from the older boys while waving.

"He's a really strong trainer, you'll want to watch out for him," Owen warned Moe, who nodded at the tidbit.

"Same here," Maria said as she walked over to the boys. "I didn't come here to lose."

"None of us did," a voice snapped as Larenz passed by and looked at the three trainers. "But only one of us is going to walk out undefeated, and that'll be me." Moe rolled his eyes at the overly confident teen and waved him off.

"Please, you don't stand a chance against me and Clauncher," the older boy told Larenz. Clauncher nodded and snapped his claw at Larenz, who stared at the abnormally large Pokemon before walking away silently.

"That guy's weird," Maria whispered to Owen and Moe, making Owen and Greninja laugh while Moe nodded in agreement.

"Would all 64 trainers please report to the battlefield?" a voice asked over the intercom, prompting all of the competing trainers to walk out of the room and pour onto the battlefield of the main stadium. The group of trainers was met with an explosion of applause, and everyone waved to the crowd before stopping to stare at one of the enormous scoreboards. Suddenly, Charles Goodshaw appeared with a microphone in his hand, and he waved to the crowd and trainers, who cheered for him. Suddenly, five other people appeared along with him, and the crowd reached a deafening pitch.

"Welcome, welcome, one and all, to the Kalos League! This year, we have a very promising class of talented trainers, many of whom have a chance at winning the entire thing. As most of you know, there were some issues that sprung up across Kalos with threats such as Team Grim and Team Flare," the old man announced, which made Owen and Greninja turned to each other.

"Team Flare? I've heard of them, but I didn't know they were an actual threat," Owen thought to himself.

"Because of this, the five champions from Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, and Unova have flown in and will be evaluating all of the competitors as potential members of the Elite 4, regardless of the region." Charles pointed at the five trainers next to him, and they all waved to the crowd.

"Wow, that's some big news," Moe muttered, to which Owen nodded.

"That means a spot in any Elite 4 can open if you impress any of these champions, and the winner of this tournament will get to challenge any of the champions! However, the battle will be hosted in that champion's region, so they will have home field advantage. Now let's get to the rules!" The scoreboard suddenly turned on, and all 64 competitors pictures were displayed.

"This will be a very simple format to follow. There will be one large bracket that will be present throughout the entire tournament! Each battle is win or go home until we have our last remaining trainer! The top 64 will be a double battle where trainers may only use two Pokemon. The top 32 will be a three versus three battle. The top 16 will also be a three versus three battle. From the top 8 onward, battles will be full, or six on six."

"Hmm... full battles starting in the top 8 means there are more chances for upsets to happen," Maria said aloud. "I don't like that."

"Now let's look at how the bracket turns out!" Charles shouted while turning and looking up at the colossal scoreboard behind him. Everyone in the stadium, both trainer and spectator - watched as all 64 pictures were flipped and they began to shuffle across the screen. After ten seconds the shuffling stopped and everyone waited anxiously. Suddenly, the pictures were shown once again, and Owen searched for his picture while also looking out for those of his rivals.

"There I am!" the teen exclaimed as his was the second to last picture at the bottom of the screen. Maria and Moe's pictures were next to each other - with Maria's being closer to Owen's - but the two weren't battling in the first round.

"Thank you all for listening, and may this be an incredible tournament!"

Owen sat on the balcony outside his room and gazed out at the five stadiums, his eyes fixated on the largest one in the middle. All of his Pokemon were inside on the first floor sleeping while the teen decided he didn't need sleep. As he continued to stare out at the stadiums, fireworks continued to go off as people celebrated the official beginning of the league.

""This time's going to be different," Owen thought to himself before closing his eyes and taking a deep breath. Once he exhaled, Owen opened his eyes and smiled at the thought of his journey to get to the Kalos League, remembering each of his gym battles. Butterfree winning his first badge, Frogadier winning the second, Hawlucha the third, Haunter fourth, Tyrantrum sixth, Pikachu seventh, and Charizard and Blaziken claiming his eighth.

"You're still up, too?" a voice asked. Owen turned to his left and saw Larenz standing on his balcony by himself, staring out at the fireworks. "I'm not going to go easy on you when we battle."

"I wouldn't expect anything else," Owen replied, not wanting to make conversation with the arrogant trainer. Despite Owen's reluctance, Larenz continued speaking to the fifteen year old.

"I saw what you did in Lumiose City... I know it doesn't mean much, but thanks for saving Kalos," the older teen said nonchalantly, which made Owen turn to face Larenz. "I heard that the people that died were related to you, sorry to hear about that."

"...Thanks," the Kantonian replied in shock, not expecting Larenz to be so kind, which was nothing short of weird.

"You know, the only reason I'm competing in this thing and the Grand Festival is because my little brother's really sick to the point where he could die if I don't get the money," the older teen confessed, turning to Owen while scowling at the information. "But I don't want you to go easy on me, or anything. I want to earn the title." Owen nodded at the older boy and said nothing as Larenz slowly walked back into his apartment, and he turned and looked at Owen one more time.

"Good luck," the fifteen year old said to Larenz, who nodded at the statement before disappearing into his apartment, leaving Owen by himself once again. The fifteen year old yawned and turned to walk back inside, but he stopped when all ten of his Pokemon stared at him while smiling. "What are you guys doing up so late?"

"We can't sleep," Charizard replied before walking over to Owen and looking at the stadiums with an excited grin.

"So we decided to hang out with you until we got tired," Blaziken informed the teen as he sat down on one of the chairs that was placed on the balcony. The eight other Pokemon huddled around Blaziken and so did Charizard, and they looked at Owen, waiting for him to speak.

"What kind of pep talk do you have in store for us this time?" Charizard quizzed with a smirk, making Owen laugh lightly before he stood in front of the Pokemon with a confident look on his face.

"First, I want to let you know how proud I am to be your trainer. To be honest, I didn't exactly have the highest expectations for you guys," Owen admitted, making some of the Pokemon laugh - namely Slurpuff, Pikachu, Tyrantrum, and Chesnaught - while others seemed to take offense to the remark, which included Greninja, Butterfree, Gengar, and Hawlucha. "You proved me wrong, though, and we made it to the Kalos League. Along the way, you guys became a family, even though you didn't get along at the beginning," Owen said, looking at Chesnaught and Slurpuff and then Pikachu, who sweat dropped at the statement.

"Despite all of this, we're going to win the Kalos League!" the trainer proclaimed, to which all of the Pokemon roared with cheers. "Charizard, Blaziken, it's only fitting that you two battle in the first round. Are you up for it?"

"You betcha!/Of course!" Charizard and Blaziken replied, respectively. Owen nodded at the two Pokemon and clapped his hands together as he prepared to conclude his speech.

"Alright! Whenever any of you battle, I want you to go out there and kick some butt! Are you with me?" The Pokemon roared in response, and Owen turned to face the stadiums as he hoisted his arms above his head. "Let's win this!"

Damn, that's the longest league intro chapter I've ever done! So, Owen met up with all of his rivals and even got to learn a little bit about Larenz before giving his usual speech. Next chapter will be the first round (top 64, for those of you who like to see it listed that way), and Blaziken and Charizard will be raring to go! Till next time, peace out.

Next Chapter: "First Round Flares": While Owen opens the league with an imposing pair of fire types, the champions of the other regions watch in intrigue while keeping an eye on other matches. What exactly do they think of Owen and his Pokemon?
