Waking up to hushed voices it took a minute for Tim's mind to catch up with him. With a groan and not so graceful landing on his hands and knees as he rolled off the futon, Tim was on his feet and stretching as he turned towards the voices. He only had a second before a Gothic bullet barreled into him and had him stumbling backwards. Thankfully he was able to catch himself as Abby's arms wrapped around his neck, almost cutting off air.

"...Need to breath!"

"Sorry!" Abby released her death grip but didn't remove her arms from around him. Her head tucked into his shoulder.

From around the black pigtail in his face Tim could see Tony in the doorway. "He told you."

Abby's head bounced, her hair hitting him in the face. He gave her a little squeeze before extracting her arms from around him and taking a step back, his hands staying on her arms until he was sure she wasn't going to hug him again. Abby had been crying, black streaks down her cheeks were in evidence. Tim refused to look at his shoulder, knowing he'd have to get a fresh shirt from his go bag, from his car, still parked at the hospital.

"Ziva and I stopped to get your bag earlier." Tony stepped closer to the pair. "Realized you were still in your clothes from yesterday and would probably want to shower and change."

"Thanks." Tim looked down at his watch and his eyes widened. "It's already 10! They've had Maddie for over twelve hours!" Tears sprung back into his eyes as Abby hugged him again, this time albeit more gentle. Tim refused to let them fall as he turned to look at Tony over Abby's shoulder. "Have you found anything?"

Tony scratched the back of his head as he fought to find the right words.

"Tony?"

With a deep sigh Tony dropped his hand. "We don't think Barker or Parker was his name. Ziva and I went to talk with Mr. And Mrs. Barclay but they refused to answer anything about Lisa. The police had already been there to inform them about Hannah. Her dad seemed like he was barely holding it together but her mom..."

"Cold as ice?"

"Yeah."

Tim gently pushed Abby away as he straightened his shirt a little. "Yeah Hannah had been a daddy's girl growing up. I always had a suspicion that Mary wore the pants in that relationship and Richard just did what his wife told him too, even if that meant cutting off his little princess."

"Okay so would he be helpful if we got him away from the wife?"

Tim shrugged. "Maybe? He'd want to know who killed his daughter, but he also probably might not help with any information. It's worth a try though."

"Okay so we'll start there." Tony clapped his hands together. "But first, a shower and then Gibbs told me to take you to lunch."

"I'm not really hungry."

"Well that is too bad Probie cause Gibbs said you're not helping with the investigation until you have fully rested and cleaned up and eaten. You've rested so next is the shower. Your bag is out there." Tony pointed to the lab. "Go shower and meet me at your desk, you can pick where we go."

Tim mumbled something neither Tony and Abby could hear as he shuffled out of the lab with his bag in hand. Tony waited until he was gone before turning back to a still teary eyed Abby.

"We'll find her and McGee will have his daughter back."

"You promise?" Abby asked. "I don't like seeing him sad."

"Promise." Tony kissed her cheek before heading back to the bullpen. He knew it wasn't something he should promise but he had too. This was McGee's kid, they had to find her for his sake. Tony perched on the corner of Tim's desk with his arms crossed as he waited for his partner. Gibbs looked up as he had entered the bullpen and waited until he was settled.

"How was he?"

"Just waking up. Abby did as promised and let him sleep but the moment he was up she had him in her arms." Tony chuckled before sobering. "He's still trying to keep it together."

Gibbs nodded. He figured as much. "He showering now?"

"Yeah." Tony looked at his watch. "I'll give him ten minutes before I go check on him if he's not up here by then. Told him you said he had to be rested, showered, and fed before you let him help."

"And he bought that?"

"Of course he did. It was an order from you." Tony flashed him a smile. "Figured it was the only way to actually get him to do any of it, knowing all he wants is to jump on his computer and start hacking."

Gibbs nodded at the same time that Tim came around the corner from the back elevators, tossing his bag next to his desk and turning to Tony, fixing his shirt cuffs.

"We're eating out of the vending machines. I'm not leaving the building."

"Not how this works."

"You said I could pick were we eat."

"A real place McGee. You need real food."

"I'm fine!" Tim huffed in frustration as Gibbs stood. "We need to find Maddie!"

"We're not the only ones looking for her McGee." Tony stood up. "Metro has an amber alert out, pictures of her have been circling the news. Both Metro and Balboa's team are vetting calls coming in with any news."

"It's not enough!"

Gibbs knew Tim was barely holding on by a thread so he finally stepped in, grabbing his gun from his desk. "We'll all go. That way we can fill you in on everything and ask a few more questions. By the time we're done eating and back here, you'll be up to speed and ready to go."

"Fine. But not off the yard."

"Fine."

Ziva and Tony grabbed their own weapons from their desks. They were only going to lunch but it was an automatic thing when leaving the building. Tim reached into his desk for his when he realized he didn't have it. He frowned trying to remember were he had it last.

"You didn't have it on you at the hospital."

Turning to look at his boss it dawned on him and he nodded. "Lock box at home."

"You don't need it right now. Let's go."

They had decided to try a little diner that had just opened up not far from the yard. Tim was upset they had even left the naval yard but he knew they were just trying to look out for him. They settled into a back booth away from the few customers currently there. They all accepted the glasses of water and the cups of coffee before ordering sandwiches.

"So Probie." Tony started as he picked at a straw wrapper left by the waitress when she had brought waters to the table for them. "You never told us if your second kid was a boy or girl."

Tim smiled. "A boy. No name yet but we all had one we liked."

"Oh yeah, what?"

"Carrie wants to name him Curtis. I want to name him Henry.""

"And Hannah?" Ziva asked after taking a sip of her water.

The smile faltered as Tim leaned back against the booth cushion, his hands wrapped around the edge of the table in front of him. His voice was just a whisper but they all heard. "She wanted to name him after me."

"So you'd have a little Timmy running around in a year."

Tim shook his head. "I didn't want that. A kid should have his own name, his own identity, not be named after a family member."

"Are we speaking from experience Timothy No-Middle-Initial McGee?" Tony asked. He himself being named after his father, Tony understood, sometimes wishing he hadn't been named after his father but had grown to appreciate it.

"Sort of." Tim shrugged. "It's in my file, I'm surprised none of you have looked." As he looked around at his teammates, he knew two of them already knew and laughed. "Okay so only DiNozzo doesn't."

"What don't I know?"

"The reason I said I don't have a middle name." Tim looked at his partner. "Is because Timothy is my middle name."

"What?"

"My full name is John Timothy McGee, the third. Named after my father and grandfather. Growing up I was always called Tim or Timothy because the Admiral refused to call me 'Johnny'" Tim used air quotes with the nickname.

"Huh. You really do learn something new everyday." Tony sat back and tossed a wad of the straw paper across the table at Tim just as their food arrived.

They sat in silence for a few while they all ate before Tim sat back again and looked at Gibbs. "Have you been able to find anything?"

"Talked with Metro and went to see the crime scene." Gibbs watched Tim's face as he talked. "Carrie had been attacked first."

Tim nodded. "She was found in the front room while Hannah was in the bedroom. They had just gotten Maddie to bed."

"How do you figure that, Probie?"

"The neighbor called 911 just after 9 after hearing the gunshots. Maddie's bedtime is 9."

Gibbs nodded and continued. "The place was trashed but without Carrie waking up nobody can really know if anything was taken."

"Other then my daughter." Tim sighed.

"Yeah."

"You have not got a call for a ransom." Ziva added, leaving the rest of the statement from earlier unspoken.

Tim blinked a few times to keep the tears at bay as he took a shuttering breathe. "So. Someone knows where I work, but that still doesn't make any sense. If they wanted Intel on the agency, they'd still call with demands, right?"

"Maybe they're biding their time? Waiting for you to be so distraught you'd do anything to get her back?"

Tim gave a bitter laugh. "Well it's working."

"We'll find her McGee." Tony sat forward and watched his friend. "We just need to get Mr. Barclay away from his wife and question him."

Just then Gibbs' phone rang. He answered it and they all waited. When he closed his phone he looked at Tony in amusement. "That was Balboa, seems like Mr. Barclay is ready to talk... without his wife around."

"What are we waiting for, let's go!" Tim shoved at Gibbs to move out of the booth so he could climb to his feet.

Gibbs glared but moved. Tony and Ziva headed for the counter to pay before racing to catch up with Gibbs and McGee as they returned to the yard. Fifteen minutes later they were strolling into the bullpen. Balboa was waiting near Gibbs' desk, a man sitting in an extra chair with his arms crossed over his chest looking a little out of sorts. Tim didn't blame him as he stepped up to the dark haired man.

"Mr. Barclay."

Richard Barclay looked up at the young man and nodded, slowly standing. "Timothy. Any word on Maddie's whereabouts?"

"No sir, we were hoping you could help us though."

Gibbs took the opportunity to step up to his agent and held out his hand. "Thank you for coming in Mr. Barclay, I'm Jethro Gibbs, McGee's boss."

Richard took the man's hand, "You can call me Richard." He nodded towards Tim. "He's suppose to too. Mr. Barclay was my father."

Gibbs smiled as he looked at his agent before turning his attention back to the other man, dropping his released hand back to his side. "We would like to know about your daughter Lisa, and her current boyfriend?"

"Lisa has had a string of boyfriends since she was twelve it was always hard to remember any of them but Eric stuck out like a sore thumb. He was abusive and we hoped to get Lisa and the kids away from him on many different occasions but she never wanted to listen. Mary and I were in process of filing for custody of Esty and Blake when Lisa disappeared."

"Does Eric have a last name, Sir?" Tony stepped up to Tim's other side.

Richard nodded. "Eric Baker."

"Close enough to Barker to mishear it." Tony mumbled in Tim's ear before turning back to Mr. Barclay. "Thank you." Tony headed back to his desk to start running a search of Eric Baker as Richard started talking again.

"The man could never keep down a job, always looking for the easiest way to make money."

"Like kidnapping a child?" Gibbs asked, feeling Tim stiffen next to him.

Richard looked at both of them. "No. Lisa wouldn't allow that. If anything they'd take Esther and Blake, but Lisa dropped them off with Hannah before she left."

"That was a year ago. Maybe they did not need money then?" Ziva piped up from her own desk, also running a search.

"Or Lisa isn't even with Eric anymore and he's acting alone." Tony added. "If it is him."

"Do you know of anywhere Eric and Lisa would stay other then motels?" Tim asked.

"No I'm sorry son." Richard placed his hand on on Tim's shoulder and squeezed. "Hannah loved you."

"I know, Sir." Tim took a deep breath. "Even after everything I know she still loved you and Mary too."

Richard closed his eyes and dropped his arm from Tim's shoulder. "I wish things had been different. Now I'll never have my daughter back in my life." Straightening up Richard looked from Tim to Gibbs. "If you don't have any more questions I should be getting back before Mary starts questioning where I am."

"Of course. If we have any further questions we'll call."

Richard shook Gibbs' hand one last time, nodded to Tim, and left the bullpen, Balboa following him out. Tim turned to look at his team. Tony and Ziva were looking up from their computers, watching him.

"Now we just have to find them."

Tim snorted despite the fact he still wanted to cry. "That's what we've been trying to do, DiNozzo."

"Well yeah, but now we have the boyfriend's real name." Tony continued. "We'll get his background and family history and find any property under their names and if we have to we'll break down every door they own."

And with that all four of them got back to work trying to find any sort of trace of Lisa Barclay or Eric Baker.
