NOTICE: There are very important details in the closing A/N. Also, check out my new story, "Pokemon Kanto Adventure: A New Generation!"

So, last chapter was a bit crushing, given the fact that Owen and Charizard gave Red and his Charizard everything they could handle before falling. It was all patched up, though, when Owen was elected to be the champion of the Kalos region! Now, this chapter will take place in Kalos a few months after Owen's battle with Red, and it's basically serving the purpose of providing closure on Owen and how he's doing. Now, for the last time in Kalos, let's get going!

Blaze Falcon: Aww, thank you for the kind words! And it sucks that Owen lost, but at least he's the champ of Kalos. That's not a terrible consolation ;)

Defender31415: You have no idea how long I've wanted to have this happen! And they won't get married for a little while (I'm thinking either epilogue chapter 2 or 3)

Six months later...

"Mr. Plateau, you have a visitor here saying he had scheduled a meeting with you a few months ago," a feminine voice said over phone.

"Send him in," Owen ordered before hanging up the phone and looking at a large stack of papers, which had something to do with a new age rule for beginning trainers. The rule would make the minimum age for being a trainer sixteen, or if one finished school early, then they could go. Anything else, however, wouldn't be accepted. "This is stupid," Owen muttered to himself before throwing the stack of papers into the garbage. He continued to clear his desk before picking up a picture of Brooklyn and Molly, and the teen smiled until someone knocked on the door to his office. Looking up, Owen smiled and pointed at the chair across his desk, and the person sat down.

"It's been a while," the visitor greeted with a warm smile.

"That it has," Owen replied while kicking his feet up on his desk. "What brings you around here? I'm guessing you're checking on how the Elite 4 training's going?" the seventeen year old quizzed. The visitor nodded, and Owen groaned before sliding three large stacks of paper across his desk. The person slowly looked through each pile and frowned when he didn't find a fourth, which also seemed to bother Owen.

"So you still haven't found a fourth person?"

"No. It's a lot harder than you think, Red," Owen informed the World Champion. "It was hard enough finding one person skilled enough, or with enough potential, let alone four. I still have another year and a half to find that fourth member of the Elite 4, but it's impossible. I've tried getting one of the twins from Mossdeep to join, but they refused to split up. Then I called Drayden, and he flat out declined. No other gym leaders are either available, or good enough."

"Well, Kanto has a really deep class of trainers graduating school this year. Have you read about that yet? I sent it to you last month, and I didn't hear anything back on it." Owen sweat dropped as he subtly pulled the paper out of the garbage, and he nodded. "Those age restrictions are actually helping a lot, because the Indigo League gets to see who the really talented trainers are before they even get a Pokemon."

"Don't you think that's kind of extreme, though? I mean, every gym battle being televised and having the Indigo League bracket based on how well trainers have done up to that point seems really controversial," Owen pointed out before yawning.

"You didn't hear what I said," Red informed the younger champion. "This class of trainers is really skilled. You might be able to find a fourth member for your Elite 4." Owen's ears perked up at the idea, and he scratched his chin before looking at the pictures on his desk, mainly the one of Brooklyn and Molly.

"I'll think about it. I can't just leave Brooklyn and Molly here." Red nodded understandingly and he rose from his seat before shaking Owen's hand.

"Okay. Just text me if you change your mind. Actually, the whole graduation thing's happening in two weeks, so you only have a week to decide. See ya," Red told Owen before quickly making his way out of the teen's office, intentionally leaving him with a lot of questions.

"Damn Red. That's a really interesting idea, though. I guess I'll have to check with Brooklyn first."

"Thanks for the ride, Charizard," Owen said to his first Pokemon as he hopped off the lizard's back. Charizard nodded, opting to remain silent, and he walked up a driveway with Owen. "It's still so hard to believe we made our dream come true," Owen muttered while looking at the bright blue sky. Again, Charizard nodded and the two walked up to a small ranch styled house. A pair of bright red doors stood in-between Owen and the inside of the house, and he opened it while Charizard closed it behind himself.

"You're back already?" a voice called from a different room as Owen kicked off his shoes. The seventeen year old quickly made his way into the entertainment room, where Brooklyn was sitting on the couch. Molly, meanwhile, was playing with Snivy and Feraligatr, who were incredibly careful around the eight month old. "Is everything okay?" the blonde quizzed as Owen sat down on the couch next to her.

"Kind of. I went through every portfolio in the office and I still can't find another trainer to take into the Elite 4," Owen sighed while running his hands through his short hair. "Red stopped by, by the way."

"What's he doing in Kalos? Shouldn't he be in Kanto for the official new year of the league?" Owen nodded in response and walked over to his daughter, picking her up off the ground and kissing her on the head. The baby giggled at her father's actions, and she stared at him while he sat her on his lap and sat on the ground. Snivy and Feraligatr, meanwhile, let out a sigh of relief and ran out of the room to go interact with the fifty-something other Pokemon.

"He didn't say, but he was raving about the whole new system they put in with the age restrictions, and school, and tracking everyone's battles to determine seeding. Apparently this is a really strong class of trainers graduating, one of the strongest Red's seen." Brooklyn nodded at her boyfriend's words and rose from the couch before cleaning up all the toys on the ground. "He told me I should go over there, and that I'd probably end up finding a fourth trainer."

"How long would you be gone?" Brooklyn quizzed, stopping everything she was doing while turning to face Owen. "It can't be more than a month or two."

"I really don't know. I'd probably be there for two weeks at a time and come back here for another two, if I decided to do that." The young couple sat in silence until Molly made a gurgling noise while reaching for Owen. The parents laughed at their daughter, and Owen moved forward to pick her up until Molly crawled past him and pointed at Charizard. The father deadpanned at the rejection while Brooklyn and Charizard laughed. The fire type slowly picked the baby up off the ground and smiled at her, and Molly patted Charizard on the nose. "I really don't want to miss anything she does."

"Well... maybe all three of us could go so you can do as much 'scouting' as you want," Brooklyn proposed, mocking Owen's choice of words with a sly grin. The Kalos champion laughed at the joke and stood up before putting his arm around Brooklyn, smiling as he did so.

"I like that idea. Larenz and the others should be able to keep practicing while we're gone, so let's do it!" Owen shouted energetically. Charizard and Brooklyn matched the seventeen year old's excitement, and Molly waved her arms in the air for a second, making everyone laugh. "I guess I'll call Red and tell him we'll be there in a week."

Owen's eyes slowly opened after he yawned, and the young champion smiled when he saw Brooklyn was still asleep. Slowly, Owen got out of the bed and checked on Molly, who was fast asleep in her crib, while several of Owen's Pokemon were laying in her room. The teen laughed quietly before heading towards the backyard, and he gently slid the glass door open. The teen then laid down in one of the chairs by the pool, and he looked up at the moon eagerly.

"I can't believe I'm going back to Kanto, especially as the champion of another region," the seventeen year old thought to himself. "I know I'll find another person that's good enough to join, or at least, I hope."

Meanwhile, in Saffron City, a young girl was laying in her bed, but her eyes were wide open. An anxious grin was on her face, and she looked outside her window, eagerly anticipating the sunrise.

"Man, it all starts tomorrow. To think I'm going to finally travel Kanto... it's just incredible!" the girl thought to herself as she continued to lay in her bed. "I'll be the greatest trainer the world's ever seen, and no one's going to stop me!"

Wow, I can't believe that's it. After two and a half years of writing, Owen's story is finally over... or maybe it isn't. If you haven't already, feel free to check out my new story "Pokemon Kanto Adventure: A New Generation!" which will be my last story on this site. There are currently two chapters up, but I'm going to be editing the second drastically, so that's just a heads up. Anyways, I'll start working on the epilogue chapters, but they aren't a priority, because of PKA:ANG's presence. To everyone that has favorited/followed this story, thank you for the support. And to those of you who reviewed consistently (at one point or another), I'd like to thank you all:

MCMXCV, ShadowDragon9000, SomeGuy (guest), guest, FlameStriker123, Defender31415, Blaze Falcon, Shion Rasenka, Breana (guest), Trentavious Phoenix, tepigsfire758, monfernofreak, midnightrebellion86, LightandSound, NodokaLover/Emboar-Man, Elodus, Guest, (another) Guest, SinnohBlaze (guest), Guardianboy, and The 6th Spectral King.

Sorry if I missed any other consistent reviewers, namely the guests that reviewed throughout the Grim Arc (I couldn't tell if you were all different people or the same few). Once again, I thank you all for the incredible support and helping this story reach heights I had never expected would happen to me when I originally joined this site. I used to think it was a big deal just getting two reviews in a chapter, but here I am with a story that has over 600 reviews! You're all incredible, and remember that none of this is possible without your continued, and unwavering support :)

Now, going back to the first paragraph of the closing A/N, I will be taking a few weeks off from writing to clear my mind and relax. I don't mean to come of as some kind of martyr, but shooting out so many chapters in short bursts like I did basically killed my desire (short term) and ability to write. I'll be targeting a return between April 14-20, so make sure to check for updates at that time. With all of that being said, "PKA:ANG" will kind of continue this series, as some characters will be making cameos and have roles as recurring characters.

Okay, I really need to finish this right here. Thank you all for the unimaginable support of a high school student's writing (which can be pretty "meh" at times), and hopefully you stick around for one last story. For the last time in Kalos, peace out.
