What's up, everyone? So, I know I put down a specific order for the epilogue chapters, but I've decided to scrap that format and just go with the flow! Yes, that means this chapter will be the one that takes place 15 years after Owen's battle with Red/the beginning of Gray's journey. I'm going to try to refrain from spoilers (in regards to Gray's story, and a potential followup to that), so if there are some loose ends around those, there's the explanation. Also, I will have a pretty important question on my profile, so please VOTE! Now, without further adieu, it's time for, a fairly short, Epilogue Chapter One! (Some of these answers were written before I started updating my other story, so if they're kind of out of line with what's going on... there ya go)
MCMXCV: Thank you! And it felt really weird writing last chapter because I was looking back on all of the other stories and how childish Owen was at the start. It was a really humbling moment
guest: Thanks! I feel like I could've made the Mega Battle way better (I'll probably add to it at some point), but it was actually a lot longer than I thought it was, lol. As for the timeline, I'm pretty sure I told another reviewer that I did mess it up, but let's just say Molly's premature. And thank you for reading! The support means a lot
SomeGuy (guest): I couldn't agree with your overall assessment more. Personally, I would've given myself a lower grade based on how certain things played out, but I'll gladly take a high score from a pretty critical (not in a bad way) reviewer :) That was probably the best review I've ever received, so thank you for taking the time at 3:42am to write it, that means a lot :)
Defender31415: Well, I think you kind of know the answer to that question now that Gray's story is up and running, lol. Basically, in short, she is one of a few trainers Owen will take a liking to, although it'll turn out he has a history with that specific girl
Blaze Falcon: Thank you, and you have no idea how tough it was to finish his series. At one point I was thinking of rewriting Kanto and Johto, but I'd rather leave them in their crappy state just to see how much I've progressed. And I'm flattered that I inspired you to write a story that I'm sure can match or surpass Owen's legacy as long as you work hard on it :)
FlameStriker123: Thank YOU! Right now I'm feeling feels I didn't know I could feel, lol, because of the absence of Owen. But at least he's returning for these three final chapters. This one in particular will be more focused on what the world has turned into, along with a few of the people he met, and the next will revolve around him
Shion Rasenka: Thanks, and I'm probably going to go back and edit the Mega Battle to make it longer. Also, thanks for the continued support on the other story, along with this. It really means a lot!
The 6th Spectral King: No problemo. I'm always happy to include characters whenever I can (until recently. I've decided to become a little less accepting with that), and your character was fun to have! And thanks Logan! You and Samurott were really tough!
Pokebat: Great to hear from you again, man. (I know I answered over PM, but I'll answer here, too) Owen will not continue into gen 7. Assuming there is a gen 7 by... let's say October at the latest, and I mean that it has come out and I know all the Pokemon and played the games, then I'd have another character, probably the one from my new story, go there. Basically, it'd take a miracle for me to do gen 7
As usual, it was a bright day in Kalos, and the sky was clear. Flocks of Fletchling, Pidgey, and Starly flew overhead, and they all seemed to be in a joyous mood, for whatever reason. The serenity stopped, however, when a man sitting on a Charizard zipped through the air at a breakneck pace. The two swooped down and landed on the ground softly after so many years of practice, and the duo walked into an enormous building that looked like a palace. Inside, there were hundreds of trainers lined up to register for the Kalos League, and the man was swarmed by the rookie trainers. After carefully weaving his way through the crowd with his Charizard's help, the man stepped into an elevator and stood in silence, a smile plastered on his face. When the doors opened, he walked out and across a narrow hall, where there were two glass doors. The pair pushed them open and walked into a luxurious office space, where a woman was sitting with a headset on.
"Mr. Plateau, good morning!" the young woman greeted with a bright smile. Owen smiled at the woman and stopped in front of her desk along with Charizard, who yawned while stretching his arms over his head.
"Morning, Sandra. Do I have any calls today?" Owen quizzed. Sandra quickly sifted through some notes on her computer before turning and shaking her head confidently, making Owen breathe a sigh of relief. "Thanks!" With that, the 31 year old turned left and walked down another hallway where there was a room waiting at the end.
"Today's the big day, right? Man, I feel old," Charizard said to Owen with a grin.
"Tell me about it," the Kalos Champion responded as he pushed the door open and walked into his office, where a whole group of people were waiting. The four characters turned in their chairs at the same time and shot up when they saw Owen and Charizard. "What's up, everyone? I thought you were spending the day at home?"
"Nope. Mom wanted to bring us here," a girl, around fifteen replied before hugging her father. "Apparently she said you have a gift for Molly."
"April!" the mother shouted, making the blonde haired girl look around in confusion. "That was supposed to be a secret!" The fifteen year old quickly face palmed at her own stupidity and looked over at another girl, her older sister, before smiling sheepishly.
"Sorry, Molly," April said before bowing to her sister, who laughed in response. "So, what's the surprise?" April asked as Owen sat down at his desk and kicked his feet up, as he usually did. The man shot his daughter a look, which made her shut up, before turning to look at his oldest child with a smile.
"Well, since tomorrow's the start of your journey, I decided I'd start you off with a little gift," Owen said before reaching for something under his desk. Molly, April, and a little boy sitting in-between them waited anxiously while their mother moved over to Owen's side and sat down on his lap once he finally grabbed a hold of the gift. "Would you mind putting these on the desk, Brooklyn?" Owen asked, handing his wife two boxes that had been wrapped. The woman happily did so, and the couple looked at their three children with smiles.
"What're those?" Molly inquired before looking over at a few of the pictures on her father's desk. All of them were either pictures of Owen and Brooklyn when they were traveling through Kalos, family pictures, or individual pictures of each family member. Tons of other trophies had been stacked on the shelves on both sides of the room, and there were also group pictures of Owen's Pokemon from each region, along with yearly Elite 4 pictures and group photos with the other champions.
"These are for you. We each got you a gift that we thought you'd like," Brooklyn answered, making Molly smile eagerly. "Go ahead! Open them!" the mother ordered, waitron for her oldest daughter's reaction. The blonde quickly moved forward and slowly undid each ribbon before carefully taking off the wrapping, which made April and the little boy jump up.
"Open the boxes! I wanna see the presents!" the little boy screamed, making his parents laugh.
"Oh shut up, Lucas," Molly muttered while shooting her little brother, who looked to be eight, an angry look. The eight year old, who looked almost exactly like his father, crossed his arms and glared at his eldest sister before sitting down in his chair silently. April continued to jump up and down as Molly finally took off the last bit of wrapping. The family stared at two small boxes, one of which was white while the other was black. Slowly, Molly opened both at the same time and gasped in shock when she saw what was inside.
"Oh my god," the girl said under her breath while taking the gifts out of their boxes. Two Pokeballs were in both of her hands, and she looked up at her parents, who were smiling from ear to ear. "Can I see what's inside?"
"Of course!" Owen and Brooklyn answered in unison. Molly quickly threw both Pokeballs in the air, and she watched as two Pokemon materialized from the light of each device. Standing to her left was a bipedal lizard with a flame burning on the end of its tail, and to her right was a short, bipedal otter with a blue head and blue body, and a shell was resting on its chest. Both Pokemon smiled at their trainer and Molly smiled back before rising from her seat and hugging her parents thankfully.
"Thank you both so much! Charmander and Oshawott, we're going to be the next best team, even better than Dad!" Molly proclaimed as she scooped both Pokemon into her arms. The fire and water types cheered in unison before waving at Owen and Brooklyn. "Wait, are these Charizard and Samurott's kids?" the girl inquired while Charizard stared at Charmander.
"That's right," Charizard answered. "Me, Samurott, and your parents made sure they were in tiptop shape while staying at the level requirement." Molly looked down at both Pokemon, smiled, and nodded at the incredibly powerful Pokemon's words. With that, Molly looked over at her younger siblings and saw they were smiling, which made her smile before laughing.
"Oh get over here," she ordered before hugging April and Lucas tightly. Owen and Brooklyn smiled at the sight of their children getting along, and the mother wiped a tear from her eye when Molly looked around the room and sighed, knowing she had done everything she wanted to before setting off for her journey. "Well, I guess this is it. I'm going to miss all of you."
"Make sure to call whenever you stop at the next city," Brooklyn told her daughter, who nodded before turning to walk away. Before she opened the door to leave the room, she turned around and looked her dad in the eyes.
"Dad, I want you to be ready, because you're going to have to battle me when I win the Kalos League!" Before Owen could say anything, Molly ran down the hallway while closing the door behind her, leaving Owen with a smile as he looked over at Charizard. The fire type was also grinning at the proclamation, and he cracked his knuckles while thinking about the battle.

"Wow, we didn't even get to see her off," CJ muttered as he sat at the dinner table with Fate next to him. Owen and Brooklyn nodded, sitting across from the other couple. "At least you have a few more years with those two." The older man pointed into the other room where April and Lucas were running around with Feraligatr, Garchomp, and Swellow, making the parents sigh.
"Yeah, but it's going to be so weird without Molly here. She's been in this house since..." Brooklyn paused, trying to remember exactly how long they had been living in their current house.
"We were sixteen," Owen concluded. "To think it's been that long already. Wow."
"I know. Time flies," Fate said before looking into the other room once again to see her two children, who were four and three years old, playing along with Owen's Pokemon. "It feels like just yesterday we were taking them home from the hospital." The three other adults nodded in unison before leaning back in their chairs, taking swigs of their beers, and sighing. "Speaking of history, remember the Indigo League when Gray-"
"Let's not talk about that right now," Owen said before laughing along with his wife and friends. "But I do remember. She's really come a long way since I met her back in Pallet Town." Owen ran his hand through his hair, smiling at the distant past before shaking his head and snapping back into reality. "By the way, CJ, I think there might be a spot in the Elite 4 opening up, if you want it. Daniel's leaving to become the gym leader in Opelucid City in a few months."
"No thanks, I'm happy with retirement. Being married to a famous Pokemon Performer has its perks," the man joked before pecking his wife on the cheek. "In all seriousness, though, thanks for the offer." Owen nodded before taking another gulp of his drink, and he took out his PokeGear before dialing a number and walking away from the table.

"You know, Molly going out on her journey really reminds me of when we traveled through Kalos all those years ago," Owen said as he walked into his bedroom, where Brooklyn was laying under the covers of their bed. "It feels like it's been such a long time since then." The Kalos champion flopped onto his bed and flicked on the TV, which, ironically, was playing his battle against Larenz.
"Yeah, but I'm pretty happy with where we are right now. Getting to see the kids grow up is pretty cool when you think about how our parents had to go through the same thing with us." Owen nodded in response before reaching into his nightstand and pulling out a large book before opening it to read. As Brooklyn glanced over to see what her husband was doing, she was confused after seeing the unfamiliar book. "What's that?"
"I don't know, but it's titled 'Epilogue Chapters', which is a pretty crappy title, if you ask me," Owen opined before opening the book to see it was blank, which confused him and Brooklyn. There were several notes, however, of what each chapter was called, and the two decided they had had enough for the day, with their first child going off on her adventure, and now finding a strange book that allegedly explained "the story after."
Well, that ending was really awful if you ask me, but this chapter as a whole was really hard to write, given the fact that I haven't focused on Owen in a while, so I'll cut myself some slack. So, this epilogue chapter introduced y'all to Owen and Brooklyn's life, and family, along with a book titled 'Epilogue Chapters' which is referring to the upcoming ones, which leads me to this. There is a poll on my profile that I'd like you to check out and vote on, as it'll determine how many more epilogue chapters I'll write. I already have a decent amount of ideas, but if you have one you'd like to see, feel free to leave it in the review sections. Anyways, thanks for reading. Till next time, peace out.
1) Would you like to see Ariel and Catherine revived permanently? (PLEASE give an explanation about why you would or wouldn't want to see that)
2) Should Gray ever make an appearance in these chapters, or no? (Same as above)
