Ok ok! Guy's no hug! Quit it!
Naruko- B-b-but you've been gone for SOOOOOO Long! We missed you! What happened!?
Me-…. Uh, stuff. I've been pretty down lately, but I'm up and running again!
Sasuke- You better be. Do you realize how popular this story is?
Me- Way more popular than you, Sasuke.
Sasuke- I doubt that. Don't lie, we all saw you fawning over me in the new anime episodes.
Me- *blushing* SHUT UP. BASTARD.
Naruko- HAHAHAHA! Aww, come on guys! This is a happy day! Smile! Get writing! Woo!
Me- Yeah yeah, here I go… this'll be short, by the way.
Naruko's POV
We walked to the end of the forest without a problem. I skipped merrily to the door with Sasuke and Sakura walking close behind
"What a day." Sakura groaned.
"Yep, yep. But it all worked out in the end, don't ya think?" I smiled back. Sasuke shrugged and didn't even give a response. I rolled my eyes. He was weird like that sometimes. I pushed open the big double doors to see we were nearly the last ones.
"WHAT!?" Sakura nearly screamed. I fell to my knees.
"After all that work. We're still nearly last!?" I shouted, everyone stared at us. Sasuke pulled me up.
"You're causing a scene, Dobe." He muttered.
"Shut up! Teme!" I shouted back, then, I flinched in pain as the bruise on my stomach and neck sent a coursing pain through my body. Sasuke had flinched too. Was he ok? Wait… since when do I care? I pulled away from him. "Come on, let's go stand over there and see if we were last or not." I said, Sasuke and Sakura nodded, and we walked over to a near-by wall and sat down.
Sasuke's POV
Naruko was rubbing her neck and grumbling about me being a stupid Teme as she stared out into the crowd. She seemed a bit frustrated that we weren't one of the first people here. But she'd get over it soon enough. We were all pushed into a line and were told about the fighting rounds. Sakura was murmuring to Naruko, I glanced back and saw that Naruko looked annoyed and angry at Sakura, who was stern faced, as if she was saying something of importance. I rolled my eyes, turning to look forward; I felt a pain on my neck and forced myself to not grab at it in an attempt to stop the pain.
This was going to be a long fight, whenever it was starting, I wasn't paying attention.
Sakura's POV
"Naruko, you HAVE to tell Kakashi." I hissed at Naruko, she buried her face in that fluffy white collar, pulling it up and blocking the view of her mark from me.
"I do not. I've been fine until now. Just get over yourself. Ok?" She hissed, pulling at her sweater like her stomach began hurting again, her eyes flashing red.
"No way, your chakra is raging right now, I can feel it. What happened in that fight with Orochimaru?" I pushed.
"NOTHING HAPPENED. JUST GET OVER IT!" She yelled, everyone stopped and stared at us. Kakashi was looking at Naruko with a shocked expression. She hastily turned around and faced forward, blushing heavily.
"Um, yes…" the man in the front coughed. Naruko's chakra was failing, boiling underneath her now calm demeanor.
Was she ok?
Naruko's POV
I felt anxious, snappy, and out of place. My chakra was raging inside me, something was reacting to whatever happened during the last test. I didn't like it, one bit. I was glancing around, waiting for something to jump out at me, and I knew the teachers felt it too, they had their hands lingering over their kunai pouches. I scratched at my neck again then covered the bruise again with my white collar, returning to gripping my stomach (hopefully unnoticeably).
I heard my name called, I was fighting… Kiba….I sighed and glanced at him, he had a stupid grin on his face, like he knew he could beat me. I snickered, I went head-to-head with two sannin and was trained by the third, I'm sure I could handle Kiba just fine.
'You can worry about your fight later, we have a problem…' Kyuu's voice ran through my head.
"You feel it too then? The pain, the anxiousness, and the frustration." I asked, I heard him grunt.
"I can feel them I bit better than you can. You need to calm your chakra. That, or you'll need to find that Orochimaru guy, and end him." Kyuu growled. I sighed, liking the idea of ripping Orochimaru to pieces, for what he did to me, for what he did to Sasuke. But that wasn't an option, he was probably long gone by now, but what would I know? The only thing I can feel is my chakra about to boil over. Any longer in here and I'll rip someone's throat out.
And that's not a good feeling to have.
Kakashi's POV
All the Jonin were keeping watch on Naruko.
"Kakashi…" Gai murmured to me when we noticed Naruko's concentrated face, as if she was talking with someone in her mind. She kept scratching at her neck, very discreetly so she wouldn't draw any unnoticed attention. I watched her carefully, she was giving off an unsettling chakra, as was Sasuke, I would need to get them both out of the room soon.
But as I looked up at the screen I saw that Naruko's fight was up first. We all went to the upper level of the room. Naruko stayed down there with Kiba. This wasn't good. Not at all.
Gaara's POV
Naruko's fight was up. I watched her with interest, it was the first time I would see her in action and that warm feeling returned the more I watched her. She laughed a bit when the fight started and stared at the boy she was facing, something about the look in her eyes made my heart race. It was vaguely similar to the look I have when I get into a serious fight.
If I were that idiot Kankuro I might have called it attractive.
Wow, that was a short chapter… I think, I'm not sure.
Naruko- Oh, it was fine! I'm just glad you're back in action!
Sasuke- Hn.
Me- Thanks guys!
Gaara- Don't mention it.
Me- Well, read and review and enjoy! CAUSE I'M BACK BABY!
Sasuke- Do you have to be so loud…
Me- YES. YES I DO. ENJOY THE REST OF THE STORY.
