Dear Diary,

I'm home again. I'm sorry I had to leave you behind but if I were to take you with me on my missions, there's a chance that something might happen to you. Or even worse, what if somebody were to find you? And no-one else can ever read you, Diary. What we share together is special, private. No-one else can know. No-one but you can ever know my secret, Diary. I don't trust them. I know they'd find me disgusting, repulsive, filthy – but you don't, right? Right. You're on my side.

Gai might be on my side too… We're friends, aren't we? But then… He wouldn't remain on my side after he finds out that I like him. Love him. Worship him as the almost-god that he is. He would be disgusted then too, right? Right.

You're right, Diary. I shouldn't tell them – not any of them. Only you. Only ever you. That's why no-one can find you.
