Summary: Stolen kisses, spying monarchs...

A/N: So I'm under a lot of a stress right now so I figured, what better way to alievate that stress than with saccherine sweet flufflets? (Yes I used that word purposefully). Hehe, I've been craving a good Freylin lately, so I figured I'd right this little fic here. Enjoy!

Freylin 15: Stolen Kisses

Arthur and Guinevere, hand in hand, made their way to the castle library. They were chatting quietly as they roamed the massive shelves searching for some book that Guinevere wanted when they found Merlin. Guinevere couldn't help but giggle at the sight of Merlin, slumped against a wall with a pile of books surrounding him, fast asleep with the book in his lap still opened to a page about botany.

"I officially have the laziest manservant in the world." Arthur groaned and shook his head.

"Oh Arthur, he was only reading."

"Right, well should we wake him?" Arthur mumbled inattentively, his mind still fantasizing about sleep. Guinevere didn't get the chance to answer. At that moment, a pair of clicking heels steadily became louder as they approached the King and the Queen. Arthur didn't know what compelled him to hide them in an alcove between two bookshelves, but that was exactly the position they found themselves in.

"What about Merlin?" Guinevere whispered frantically.

"I'm sure he'll be fine." Arthur whispered, only half confident. Damn, and he didn't have his sword on him. Arthur's eyes landed on Merlin's face; his friend looked so young and innocent in his sleep. Arthur hoped whoever this intruder was, would leave his innocent manservant alone.

As the clicking grew louder, Arthur was able to distinguish that the perpetrator was a female. When the steps rounded the corner, Arthur felt a huge of relief escape him. It was only Freya, the pretty servant that worked in the kitchens and sometimes in the library. Arthur felt his cheeks redden bashfully. Guinevere had to stifle a giggle at her husband's reaction. Seeing as it would be awkward for them to suddenly appear, Arthur made a gesture for Guinevere to wait a moment.

Freya knelt in front of Merlin, tucked a silky brown tress behind her ears and pursed her lips. She tentatively shook Merlin. There was no response.

"Merlin?" Freya whispered softly, her eyes showed her perplexity. Arthur could help but notice that she was beautiful—for a servant of course. Not that she would ever compare with Guinevere or something. Freya had a sort of pale dove-like beauty, and she had the grace of an innocent gazelle. Arthur was starting to understand why Gwaine gushed about her so much.

When Merlin didn't budge, Freya gently tugged the books out of his hands. She fiddled with her cloak, pulled the straps free, and gently placed it around Merlin's shoulders. She smiled softly and pulled the cloak close so that he would be warm; unconsciously, Freya had moved closer and closer to Merlin's sleeping face. She seemed to notice a moment later and her face reddened like a cherry. Freya nervously shifted around and quickly scanned the library; it was empty as far as she could see.

Unaware of the King and Queen watching her movements, Freya lovely brushed Merlin's soft hair aside and against her better judgment….she swooped in for gentle kiss. Their lips must have touched for less than a second. Freya gasped when she realized what she'd done and scurried away as quietly as she could. But neither Arthur nor Guinevere missed her blushing face.

"Well that was unexpected." Guinevere giggled. Arthur snickered at Merlin's misfortune. It was just like the idiot to be asleep when a pretty lady kissed him! He so couldn't wait to tell Gwaine!

Hehe, so we got to see some Freylin and Arwen action in this one! I'm sorry if it was a bit too fluffy, I guess this is just my style.
I perfer a lovely romance without the drama of A. being in love with two people at once, or B. rumors and outside influencing affecting a relationship. My belief is that with Merlin, he'd trust the person he loved whole heartedly, and would never allow rumors to sway him. Similarly, I doubt Merlin would love two women at once; Arthur needs enough of his attention as is.

Anywho, I might have a few humor ones coming up.

Oh wow, sounds like something someone would write at the very END of their fic. Don't worry, I have plenty more to come! We're already past the half-way mark though. :)
