Chapter 2 : Tour
Rorik POV
A few days past and with the help of the Apollo children's healing skills and some nectar and ambrosia Rorik was eventually out of the Medical Tent. Finally he was able to see what Camp Half-Blood looked like. Erin was the only person who Rorik knew and they had become friends. She had come by each day and told him about the camp but after she left he always had more questions. On her last visit, a couple hours before Rorik was scheduled to be discharged from the Medical Tent. Erin had promised to meet him when he got out of the Medical Tent so she could give him a tour. As Rorik walked out of the Medical Tent Erin walked up behind him.
"Hey" She said matching her pace to Rorik's
"Hey" He replied
"'Come on let get going, you're gonna love the camp and it'll" Erin said with an excited smile on her face. The hours passed as Erin showed him around the camp. It was amazing. There was a pegasus riding instead of horseback riding, a arena (which was Rorik's favorite), a climbing wall that simulated earthquakes and had lava, an amphitheater, a lake, an archery range (which was Erin's favorite), a volleyball court and more.
"All right, here's our last stop. The Forges. The Hephaestus kids are really the only ones who know how to use them though
As the two of them were entering the forges they heard someone yelling.
"Erin ! , Erin !" with an accent .
"uhg, what is it now Alejandro ?" Erin replied with her voice full of annoyance
"I heard you were showing the new kid around and I wanted to see his reaction to everything " said the boy who was presumably Alejandro. He had a Mexican accent,was about 5"7 and he had clean cut jet black hair. As expected he had strong broad shoulders and biceps that showed plenty of time spent working in the forges.
"Well you're a little late, she's already shown me just about everything. All that's left is the forges"
"How ever so convenient , Alejandro Munjos (AN: moon-yo-s) son of Hephaestus at your service" He said while bowing jokingly " and you would be ?"
"Rorik Steading, son of ... well I don't know yet"
"Don't worry about it amigo. You'll be claimed soon enough"
"Come on, we don't have a ton of time before lunch' " Erin said. The rest of the tour went by faster than Apollo in his sun chariot. As soon as they entered the forge Alejandro was naming the different tools faster than Rorik could look at them. After about 20 minutes of being shown different molds , models, anvils and hammers when there was a dinging in the distance.
"That's the lunch bell and unless we want to be very hungry we should hurry over to the pavilion" Erin said. They hurried out of the forge toward the pavilion. When the 3 of them were running to the pavilion Rorik looked over at Erin. And for the first time he realized how cute she was, though he would never tell her. With her pure blue eyes and hair that was the color of sunlight. For the rest of the run to lunch Rorik mind swam with thoughts of the daughter of Apollo, looking over at her every now and again. Eventually they reached the pavilion and Rorik was able to convince his mind to change from thoughts Erin to his food. For lunch Rorik had a simple ham sandwich and a Mountain Dew in by far the coolest cup Rorik had ever seen since it filled itself with whatever you wanted. While the food was being served Alejandro said to him that there was a going to be a capture the flag game that night and that Rorik have to be fitted for armor. On the outside Rorik was overjoyed because growing up he had loved capture the flag. But on the inside he was a bit worried. What kind of capture the flag needed the players to wear armor ? Something told him he didn't want to know. Suddenly, although he did know it yet, one of the most important events of Rorik's life took place. When Rorik got up to scrape some of his meal into the fire and suddenly everyone became silent and stared at him. A image of a dragon appeared over made of green mist appeared over his head.
"Rorik " Erin said softly , " you've been claimed "
Hey guys. If your reading this that means you probably don't hate the story and you've read on. So yeah, I just have a couple announcements for those of you who are interested in this story. I have the first 5 or 6 chapters already written but they just have to be edited. I'll post one every Saturday or Sunday cuz I'll either edit it after school on Friday or Saturday night. I have a rough idea of where I want this story to go butI'm open to suggestions. And I know that this chapter and the previous chapter are called chapter 2 but that's because I named the first chapter, chapter 1 even though it was just a few things explained. So I'm just getting the chapter naming system back on course. Please follow, favorite and or review. I love reviews. Thanks guys and read on (at your own risk).
