Writing happy!Justice. Never again. This entire thing is crack. :P
Never Had A Friend Like Me (Aladdin) – Justice and Anders
Anders regarded the spirit, uncertainly. He was asking a lot.
"Look, I'm not sure it'd be a good – " he began, but the corpse interrupted him.
"Anders," he said, seeming more animated than the mage had ever seen him. "You want to free the mages, do you not?"
"Well, of course I – "
"Then you need me!"
Anders narrowed his eyes. "Justice, are you – "
"I'm fine, mage," he growled, his dead eyes, ironically, alive with excitement. The spirit sighed. "Anders! I don't think you quite realise what you have, here!" He motioned to himself. "Let me illuminate the possibilities."
Anders was getting worried. He was stuck in a Keep with a mad spirit.
"Well the Howe boy's got a bow to yield," offered Justice, pushing the mage down onto a crate. "The Seneschal wears a suit o' mail. But Anders you're in luck, 'cause up your sleeves, you got a brand of magic never fails!
"You got some power in your corner now!" he stressed, pointing at a training dummy. Anders gasped as it came alive instantly. "Some heavy ammunition in your stead! You got some punch, pizzazz, yahoo and how, all you gotta do is let me in your head!" He pointed again, and the dummy burst into flames. "And I'll say –
He leaned over Anders, speaking directly into his ear. "Mister oh-Anders, sir, what will your pleasure be? Let me take your order, jot it down - you ain't never had a friend like me!" He mimed writing, grinning wildly. "Life is your restaurant," he posed, "And I'm your maitre d'! C'mon, whisper what it is you want, you ain't never had a friend like me!"
Anders wondered, briefly, how a Fade spirit knew Orlesian culinary terms. Justice seemed to sense this, and elaborated.
"Yes sir, I pride myself on service," he gushed. "You're the boss! The king, the mage! Say what you wish, it's yours! True dish – how about a little more Dwarven ale?"
Anders quickly refused the bottle Justice held out to him. He didn't want that incident happening again.
"Have some of this healing," offered the spirit, his left hand glowing. "Try the electricity!" His right hand sparked blue. "I'm in the mood to help you, dude! You ain't never had a friend like me!"
Anders shook his head, and attempted to stand up. This was enough. Justice was now dancing around the room, making strange quacking noises, and Anders tried to sneak away.
Justice was having none of it.
"Can your friends do this?" he asked, as the bottles along the wall started propelling themselves around the ceiling. "Do your friends do that?" The crates banged open, lids clunking together in rhythm. "Do your friends pull this out their little hat?" Thousands of tiny lights exploded around the walls, illuminating the room in an eerie blue.
"Can your friends go, 'poof'?"
Justice was gone. Anders breathed heavily for a moment. But then –
"Well, looky here!" came the spirit's voice from the candelabra above. "Can your friends go, Abracadabra, let 'er rip,and then make the sucker disappear?"
The candelabra disappeared, and Justice was suspended in mid-air, grinning like a madman at Anders.
"So doncha sit there slack jawed, buggy eyed," scolded the corpse, "I'm here to answer all your midday prayers! You got me bona fide, certified, you got a spirit for your chare d'affaires!"
Again with the Orlesian. Anders wondered if it was Kristoff's corpse's influence.
"I got a powerful urge to help you out," mused Justice, floating down to stand by Anders. "So what-cha wish? I really wanna know! You got a list that's three miles long, no doubt, well, all you gotta do is take me in, and oh – "
Anders was grinning now. Justice wanted so much to help him. "Mister oh-Anders, sir, have a wish or two or three," urged the spirit, smiling. "I'm on the job, you big nabob! You ain't never had a friend, never had a friend…"
"You ain't never had a friend, never had a friend," he repeated, stepping back.
"You ain't never, had a friend like me!" he cackled, lighting up the room again, this time his whole being bursting into blue flames. Anders nodded, laughing, and stuck out his hand. "You ain't never had a friend like me," finished Justice, grinning, as he took the mage's hand.
