This chapter will probably be very short and very bad. I wrote myself into a hole and I'm trying to scramble out. I realized that I wasn't entirely happy with chapter 5. I think it was rushed and under developed. But yeah, this chapter is kind of an attempt to redeem myself. And I'm writing it at 1 in the morning which is when I do most of my work. So sry. It still fits into the plot don't worry. So thank you and try to enjoy.

Chapter 6: Wounded

Rorik POV

Rorik ran. He ran faster than he ever had before. His hands now covered in the blood of a girl more beautiful than Aphrodite. He had to save her and he would not fail. Landmarks passed by. First, The Creek then Zeus's Fist. "Almost there" he thought as he emerged from the woods.

"Help ! Someone get Chiron !" A couple of Apollo kids cut him off with a stretcher and loaded Erin onto it.

"Rorik ? Don't leave me." Erin said quietly just before she passed out. They rushed to the Medical Tent with Rorik keeping pace along side. His face white with worry. At last they reached their destination. Erin was rushed into a curtained off area with a group of other Apollo kids and Satyrs. Much to his discontent, Rorik was forced to wait outside while the healers worked to save Erin. Time passed and Rorik still wasn't allowed in. He couldn't stop pacing the length tent. Alejandro came by and tried to convince him to come eat lunch but Rorik wouldn't leave her. It had been hours and it was nearly 5pm when William came out and spoke to him.

"The hellhound nearly killed her. It broke virtually all her ribs, caused internal bleeding as well as extreme external bleeding and it almost punctured her right lung. But, we believe that since we got to her quick enough she will recover. You saved her. She has regained consciousness so you can go in if you wa-" Rorik blew past the blond kid and into the room where Erin was. She was propped up on a cot towards one of the sides of the room. Erin turned her head toward him and smiled as he rushed through the tent flap and to her side, taking a knee next to her.

"Are you ok ?" Rorik asked quickly.

"Yeah. They seem to think I'll be fine. With time at least." Erin said. She spoke softly but surely. The worry visibly left Rorik.

"Not so fun being the one that's all cut up, now is it ?" He asked jokingly, relieved that she would be okay. She chuckled lightly.

"I'm glad you're here" She said with a smile on her face.

"I never left" Rorik replied, smiling back while looking into her sky blue eyes. Deciding to make a move, he took her hand in his.

"You gotta be hungry. I'll go get some food from the pavillion" He gave her hand a squeeze and started walking out, but when he got to the door he turned back towards Erin and smiled then walked out towards the pavillion.

Erin POV

"Oh, gods. Is he holding my hand ?!" Erin thought to herself. It felt wonderful and terrifying at the same time as Rorik laced his fingers in between hers. When their fingers touched she felt as if there was an electric current running up her arm. He left to go get her some food. She didn't want him to leave, even for a second. But she understood that she needed to eat. While he was gone, Erin heard the flap to the tent open. In walked an average height girl, she was Asian with long black hair and storm gray eyes. Her name was Ava, she was a good friend of Erin. Ava was the head counselor for the Athena Cabin, even though sometimes Erin thought she acted like an Aphrodite. She sat in the chair next to Erins cot.

"You gonna be alright ?" the daughter of Athena asked.

"Yeah, just barely. I broke almost all my ribs, but yeah. I'll be fine."

"Good. So, tell me everything" Ava demanded, acting like her usually curious self. So Erin did. She explained the entire story, from acher practice (even though she made it sound like they were actually practicing) up until Ava walked in. Except for when she was unconscious, obviously.

"Oh my Gods." Ava said, sounding slightly taken aback. " He so likes you !"

"No he doesn't." Erin replied. Both shocked and secretly overjoyed. "We're just friends."

"Oh come on ! He held your hand, he risked his life for you and he freaked when he thought you were going to die ! William even said that Rorik tried to punch him when he would let him see you when you were unconscious !" Erin was starting to feel her face burn because secretly, she really hoped Ava was right. She was crushing on Rorik hard. He was great in every way; loyal, strong, smart, handsome, kind, caring, fun. She loved how his shaggy brown hair would blow in every direction when he was sparring and how his chestnut brown eyes would become so determined when doing even the littlest of tasks. Ava was about to continue making her point but thankfully for Erin, Rorik walked in carrying two plates full of food.

"I'll leave you two alone" The raven haired girl said with a sly smile on her face. Then she promptly walked out of the tent.

Rorik POV

Rorik took a seat in the chair that Ava had just left. He looked over to Erin and gave her one of the plates of food. He noticed that her face was red with blush.

"You know you're blushing, right ?" Rorik said, knowing that it would only make her blush more. And he was right. Erin turned an ever darker shade of red and looked down at her plate. "Gods she looks cute when she blushes" he thought to himself.

"Thanks for the food." She said trying to change the subject, still incredibly embarrassed that Rorik had noticed and then pointed out that she was blushing.

"Here" He said, giving her a square of ambrosia. " William told me to have you eat this"

"Did you really try to punch him because you wanted to see me ?" Erin asked as she popped the ambrosia in her mouth. It tasted like the s'mores she and her mom used to make over the bonfires in their backyard.

"Uhhh.. umm… yeah. " He said, scratching the back of his neck embarrassedly. His face began to turn red as well. "You should probably get to sleep"

"Ugh ! Fine" Erin ground, feeling to weak to argue. "Do you think you could stay here ?"

"Sure" Rorik replied, thrilled that she wanted him to stay. He turned out the lantern that lit the Medical Tent then pulled up one of the other empty cots next to Erin and crawled in to it.

"Good night" She said.

"Ga'night" Rorik said quietly. As they fell to sleep their hands moved close. By the time they fell asleep, their hands were intertwine. They both dozed off, hand in hand with subtle smiles on their faces, both dreaming of each other.

Hey guys. Though I didn't intend it to be, this ended up being the fluffiest chapter yet. It just kind of ended up like that. Usually when I write I just write something that move the plot in the direction I want it then fine tune it (at least I try to) when I go back and edit grammar, spelling, ect. . I'm sorry if it sucked. I've never even tried to write any sort of fluff or any romance stuff at all. I just thought, "what the hell. I might as well try to start their little romance." Because I do intend to have their romance be an important part of this story. I never intended to use Ava for anything (I made a list of the counselors of the different cabins) but she actually came in handy so I decided to make her one of Erin's close friends. Thats about all. Oh, I would like to say one thing regarding my uploads. On June the 18th I leave for summer camp in colorado. For a month. So I won't be uploading for a month. June 18 to July 14 there will be no updates on my profile but don't worry. I'll be using that time to come up with stuff for you guys.. Also, I will try to update on Saturdays but if I finish writing a chapter before that I will upload it whenever it is ready but I promise there will be at least 1 new chapter by saturday/sunday at the latest every week. By guy. You are all so great ! Please favorite , follow and subscribe (I've always wanted to say that) and review ! BYE !
