Chapter 7: Breakfast

Rorik POV

Rorik slowly opened his eyes and casually looked around the Medical Tent. He felt something in his hand and glanded over at it. He smiled to himself when he saw that is was Erin's hand that he felt. Her hand looked so petite compared to his. He gently removed his hand from hers so that he would wake and went to go get some breakfast. He figured that the breakfast food from the pavillion would be better than the food in the Med. Tent. Rorik went back to the Unknown Cabin to grab a change of clothes before he ate. He decided that it would be good to change out of the clothes that he had been wearing for now over 24 hours. Since he had been claimed by some god that no one knew, Chiron had ordered the construction of an extra cabin. It had just been finished a couple days ago so he had just begun living there. Since what the god that had claimed Rorik controlled was unknown, hence the name Unknown Cabin, the cabin looked like a generic log cabin with a peaked roof except it had a large dragon logo in the shape of a diamond carved into a circular disc made of iron above the door and contained a porch with a bench on it, a couch, a 60 inch flat screen Tv, a bathroom with a sink, shower and toilet, a kitchenette and a master bedroom with a dresser and a king size bed. After changing into his orange Camp-Half Blood shirt and a new pair of shorts Rorik walked to breakfast. After scraping some of his white chocolate chip waffles into the fire he sat at the Hephaestus table with Alejandro. Because there was no table for the the god that had claimed Rorik, he was allowed to sit anywhere. Being claimed by an unknown god did have its perks.

"Is she ok ?" The spaniard asked nervously.

"She's gonna live"

"Good. Because I have no clue what you would have done without her." Alejandro said, shifting from serious to mocking..

"Oh, shut up"

"You probably would have gone insane from missing her so much ! You would be all like, No, no ! Venir espalda mi amor ! Yo no puede vivir sin usted ! " (That translates into, "No, no come back my love. I can't live without you." ) He continued completely disregarding Rorik. By the end of it Alejandro could help but fall to the floor of the pavilion laughing. It took a couple of minutes to stop laughing enough to sit back up on the bench. Thankfully not many people could hear Alejandro over the sounds of everyone else talking to each other.

"Really though. I'm glad she's okay." He said shifting back to serious.

"Thanks." While they ate they fell into conversation about random things. Like why demigods wouldn't use celestial bronze guns. According to Alejandro it was because the bronze was too soft and the explosion that the gunpowder created to propel the bullet would bend and warp the metal to the point where the bullet would just shatter on its way out of the barrel. Their topic eventually changed to Rorik's new cabin.

'So, how do you like your new cabin"

"It's pretty great. It has everything I could want. I could survive happily in there for a week without leaving."

"You welcome. The Hephaestus cabin built the entire thing. I even called in a favor with one of the Hermes kids to get you the 60in. Tv instead of a 40in. ."

"Oh, thanks man." Rorik grabbed a plate with a couple of pancakes on it. "I should get going. I'm gonna bring breakfast to Erin. The food at the Med Tent sucks."

"Ok. Adiós amante niño !" Alejandro yelled, chuckling to himself as Rorik walked out of the pavillion.

Erin POV

Erin yawned as she propped herself up on her elbows while looking around having just woken up. She noticed that Rorik's cot was empty. "He must have gone to get breakfast" she thought. He must have just left she figured. Her hand was still warm from Rorik holding it all last night. Just the thought of Rorik holding her hand made her face light up. Erin attempted to sit up but was recoiled in pain. Unfortunately forgetting until then that all her ribs were broken. William walked in through the tent flap.

"Good morning. You feeling okay ?" He asked

"Better but my ribs still hurt like Hades."

"Here. Eat up." William said, handing her a piece of ambrosia. Erin took the gods food and popped it in her mouth. Again it tasted like the s'mores she and her mom used to make. A perfect blend of sweet, crunchy and smooth. She felt the effects of the ambrosia take place. It felt strange as the godly food refused her ribs and healed the cuts and bruises, both exterior and interior.

"Now try sitting up" The tall blond kid said. Erin cautiously complied, half expecting the motion to cause intense pain as it had last time. But to her surprise it didn't. It still felt sore but that was to be expected. She decided to attempt standing upright. Erin slowly swung her legs over the edge of the bed so that they were on the floor. She gradually stood up and started walking around to room.

"Can I leave ? I don't want to miss breakfast."

"Certainly. Honestly I didn't think that you would be out this quickly. But I guess being a child of Apollo does have perks. You can go ahead and try to make it to breakfast. I'll deal with the paper work"

"Thanks William." Erin walked out of the Med Tent and rounded the corner outside the entrance and walked head first into a wall. "I don't remember there being a wall there" She thought as she fell down. Erin looked up when the "wall" caught her in mid fall. To her surprise, she was looking up at Rorik.

"Gods, Rorik." She said, rubbing her head. "I thought I ran into a wall."

"Oh, sorry" They made eye contact and Rorik suddenly realized that he still had his arm around Erin's waist. They both turned a bright crimson. "Uh, I uh, I was planning on bring you breakfast but." Rorik said, composing himself while motioning to the plate of pancakes that was scattered across the ground.

"Don't worry about it. I need to stretch out my legs any way."

"Oh Yeah ! When did you get let out ?"

"I was just leaving when I ran into you. But come on, I'm starving. Carry me ?"

" Hop on" Erin hopped onto Roriks back and put her arms around his shoulders. He realized that Erin said she needed to stretch out her legs but he could never say no to her and he like the sensation of her arms around him. With Erin holding on tightly to his back, Rorik happily carried her over to the pavilion. He was overjoyed that she had lived. He was starting to believe Alejandro. He wasn't entirely sure what he would do without her. But he was trying to live in the present. And right then, Erin was alive and that is what was important.

Hey guys. This chapter is rushed. I have been rushing around to get ready for camp and I didn't have time to properly touch it up. I'm sorry. Next, this will be the last chapter that I post until July the 16th. I actually had an idea. So that I'm prepared to post when I get back from camp, I'll write while I'm at camp. I always write on my computer so it didn't occur to me to use paper and pencil but I eventually thought of of. So yeah, hopefully I'll have 3-4 new chapters ready to be typed and posted when I get back from BTE. They will probably be shorter because I don't entirely like writing with pad and paper. Thanks are all so great ! Please favorite , follow and review !
