'Rise and shine soldiers; inspection is in ten minutes and breakfast is in fifteen!' Snow awoke to what sounded like a foghorn. Great and she'd just hoped, prayed that the last three years were a nightmare and that she would wake up soon. Well there was a bigger chance of her father actually calling her than that being true.

Three years ago her father and his wife had decided they'd had enough of her negative behaviour and had sent her off here to Prince Williams Military School. In the beginning she had begged her father to take her back to not leave her here with these strict tutors who treated her like she was a soldier about to go into war. Back then she had still been acting like the Prim heiress that she was.

Now she merely jumped from her top bunk and made her way to where her belongings were kept and where her uniform was. Of course her shoes were still polished from last night when she had spent nearly two hours doing so until she could see her face reflected in them. In three years she had transformed form the prim heiress to a hard core teenager, worthy of any position in any war.

As she wondered which shooting arena they would be using today Snow dressed quickly, loving the way the army colours complemented her dark hair and pale complexion. She loved everything about the uniform, especially the beret. In three years Snow had transformed from being a girly girl to being well, what some people would call butch.

Her once shoulder length hair was not cut to her head, her own choice and her beret sat perfectly atop her head, no itching or scratching like many of the other girls in her dorm. No she preferred to have her hair out of her way.

'If mother could only see me now,' Snow whispered to herself as she looked down at her short, bare nails, and looked into the reflective coating of her boots to see that no lipstick or eye shadow marred her face. She was not the girl she had once been, and for that she was more than thankful. When she looked back at the prim and proper girl she had once been she realised that she hated who she had been and how she had treat people in her life. Yes she had lost her mother and then later any respect she'd held for her father but other than that she had no real losses.

'Hey SW,' Angel called out to her as she got up from the bottom bunk and looked Snow up and down. 'You looking mighty fine today girl.' Angel was Snow's best friend and they wouldn't have it any other way. 'You excited about graduation?'

'Am I ever? Now we can actually go out into the real world, fight the real wars. I want to win this war for us more than anything else. And you know I wouldn't mind seeing a few blood spatters here and there you know, but I really do want to help the women over there. I just wish men could see that above everything else there women are really special, you know,' Snow replied as she fixed her badges on her green and black shirt.

Snow had always been a dab hand at guns it seemed, she just didn't know until she started the school. In her first week alone she had shot a perfect score in the arena and that was merely when she was fifteen. She had been awarded many badges for her excellent shooting. Where other girls her age would have excelled in make-up techniques and flirting, Snow had dedicated her late teenage years to learning the three kill spots on a human, where she would have to shoot for them to bleed out in a matter of minutes. She had prevailed in all paint ball missions; after all they couldn't very well use real guns on each other could they.

'I hear you Snow,' Angel said and Snow looked up to see the woman's chocolate brown eyes twinkle with delight as she ran a hand over the short cut she had requested as well. Snow was kind of jealous of Angel. Where Snow's uniform complemented her appearance, Angel's dark skin and dark eyes were even more accentuated by the uniform. 'Hey wanna do push ups until Colonel Smith returns? I know we have to do them for our recruiting exam and I think I'm a little bit low on my number.'

'Sure, anything for you Angel,' Snow replied and together they got down to their knees, raised their toes and begun their push ups. Recruit wannabe White could probably do one hundred push ups with one hand in the time they had left until inspection. After all she had biceps to rival a teenage football player and the physique to rival any supermodels.

Snow and Angel had barely finished the required number of push ups for an army recruit when Colonel Smith entered the dorm. They quickly got to their feet and their own side of the bunk bed and raised a hand to their head and their berets.

'Now soldiers, I expect you will either want to go into a Police line of work, or straight into the army. Those of you who are handy with a gun,' here he paused and nodded in Snow and Angel's direction. 'Ought to think about trying out for the army, they could truly do with a few more good hands there and they pay better than the government if you can get in.'

'Yes sir!' The girls barked out as one and waited for their belongings and uniform to be inspected.

When it came to Snow's turn Colonel Smith seemed rather saddened by the fact that she was to leave.

'Three short years White and you leave already,' he said as he straightened up her badges. 'At least we will have one more, great soldier for our war, just remember to shoot straight and don't miss, who am I kidding of course you won't miss.' He stopped and his tanned hand delved into his pocket and he retrieved a red, blue and white badge he had there.

'What are you giving me now sir? I was under the impression that I had been given every badge that there was possible for my shooting skills,' Snow voiced and when he shook his head and pressed the badge along with the others he spoke.

'This is the Prince William Military School badge, given to the most promising soldier on graduation day,' Colonel Smith announced almost a little too loudly and every other female present turned to her, some with envy and some with congratulations upon their lips. 'Now go out there and prove to me that you deserve all of those badges upon your uniform. Prove to me that you are promising beginning to the end of our war. Go out there and make me proud Snow White,' he voiced and she nodded.

'Yes sir!' She exclaimed and turned to follow the rest of the girls to breakfast and a whole day of graduation that awaited them.
