The Spark pt3

"This is Sandra Willis Reporting for Channel 6 news, straight from the heart of Chicago, there is major destruction taking place as the Chicago police and Shield forces attempt to evacuate people from what has become a warzone!" the female reporter said in a panicking tone as sounds of buildings blowing up where heard in the background.

"Mere moments ago, an unidentified Meta-Human engaged the Avengers after they had made an effort to rescue the Mayor of Chicago from a terrorist attack, orchestrated by the Supervillan Crimson Dynamo. The unidentified Meta-Human appeared moments after the Avengers defeated the former Master of Evil and killed him, eyewitnesses say that the unidentified attacker defeated the Avengers with little to no difficulty before reinforcements arrived in the form of the Avengers Thor, Hercules and Brimstone, the latter of which is engaging the attacker right now" she continued as the sounds of combat only got louder behind her.

"Shit!" she cursed as the building behind her seemed to get a hole blown straight through it about 10 stories up, and with it came two large figures who seemed to be clashing their swords together in a flurry of attacks too quick for a regular human to register.

"Dammit, let's get out of here now! NOW!" she shouted as both her and the Cameraman recording her began to run as fast as he could.

The clouds were blackened over the city of Chicago as lighting and thunder could be heard roaring loudly in the distance. No one would have known it was the middle of the day if they weren't told. But the Thunder and Lighting was the least of the Cities problems as two extremely powerful meta-humans were in the middle of a titanic battle that was consuming the city.

"RAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!" both Cyrus and Viktor roared as they continued to crash through the buildings around them, their swords locked in a hail of sparks and flames as neither one relented under the force of the other's blade.

The Adamantium of Viktor's sword may have been superheated to extreme levels, but so far it hadn't even put a dent in Cyrus' Katana which was also superheated to levels that would incinerate most materials.

The two Red eyed Meta-Humans crashed into the ground, leaving a trail of rubble and torn up pavement behind them. Viktor was the first to take action as he kicked Cyrus away from him, sending the silver haired samurai crashing 20 feet away.

"That…was a hell of a kick!" Cyrus laughed as he got to his feet, as did Viktor. The two flourished their swords and locked eyes. Their red eyes burned with the upmost intensity and their runes burned with such a primal fire that they embodied ferocity itself.

"Now let's see if you know how to use that blade as well" Cyrus grinned behind his visor as he gripped his Katana in both hands. Viktor growled back at him as he gripped his Broadsword in a mirror fashion, if he was going to fight a Samurai, he was going to need to use a few tricks he had picked up over the years. Not many swordsmen would have the knowledge or experience to use a Broadsword like the one Viktor was using and actually use it in the fashion of a Samurai, then again not many swordsmen were as old as he was.

The two swordsmen charged at each other and locked Blades once again; the clash of the two metallic blades filled the air as sparks flew from the connection of two unbreakable materials. The rain that fell was no bother to the two of them as both their blades and bodies where superheated to the point where they would burn anyone to the touch.

Cyrus gave a guttural and animalistic sounding chuckle as he locked eyes with Viktor. The two Meta-Humans were pushing their blades as hard as they possibly could in a desperate attempt to overpower the other, with neither gaining an advantage. Cyrus then put his left hand near the top of his blade and pushed down there, giving him much more leverage, something Viktor couldn't do, due to the double edge of his Broadsword.

The two then broke their struggle of power and began to clash their swords together, Cyrus was on the offensive as he swung his sword in an attempt to take off Viktor's head, luckily the Avenger dodged just in time for the Katana blade to skim the top of his hat. Viktor saw this opportunity and took it as he swung his sword to take off Cyrus' legs, but the Samurai leapt over Viktor's head, the lade missing its mark as Cyrus landed behind him.

Cyrus then swung his Katana backwards where Viktor barely had time to dodge and instead blocked it with his left Gauntlet, but not without Cyrus managing to get the tip of the blade to slice through his cheek. Cyrus then withdrew his blade, allowing it to slice open Viktor's cheek. Normally Viktor would be bleeding, but since he was in his empowered state the wound sealed itself in flame as if it was never there.

Cyrus snarled as he lunged once again, trying to impale Viktor on his Katana. But Viktor sidestepped it and brought his sword down on Cyrus' resulting in a clash of sparks and flames. Viktor tried to use his strength to bring the sword down further, but Cyrus was just as strong as he was. Both pairs of eyes burned brighter and more intense as their blood pumped faster and faster.

"I haven't had this much fun in ages!" Cyrus chuckled, the feeling of adrenaline pumping through his superheated bloodstream getting too much to handle. Viktor hated to admit it, but he was feeling the same, he never fought an opponent this powerful in his life, and the excitement was overpowering.

The two broke their clash and began trading well-co-ordinated attacks, they would strike with their blade only for the other to block it and parry with an attack of their own. The clashing of their swords became so loud that it even began to overpower the sound of thunder in the sky. The speed and strength of their attacks would break apart anything that stood in their way as the two red eyed titans clashed.

Viktor then did something unexpected and caught Cyrus' Katana as he tried to stab him. Viktor grinned as he swung his sword at Cyrus, slicing open the bridge of his nose and below his eyes. Cyrus roared in pain, but used this advantage to roundhouse Viktor in the face, sending him flying back and letting go of his Katana.

The wound would have seriously disfigured any normal human or even meta-human, but in this state Cyrus' wound sealed itself in less than a few seconds with a hissing sound as the flash melted back together as if the wound was never there.

"You certainly know….how to use that sword" Cyrus grunted as he wiped the steaming hot blood from his face and splattered it on the floor. The Meta-human's blood had greatly changed as it was no longer a simple red, but resembled liquid magma more than human blood.

"I've had some experience" Viktor grunted in reply as he got back to his feet.

"Too bad, it's not enough to save your life!" Cyrus roared as he lunged at Viktor, his sword moving at such speed that Viktor couldn't dodge it no matter how hard he tried and instead got a gruesome cut across his chest. Cyrus then kicked Viktor in the gut, sending him flying backwards and through a building that began to fall to the ground towards the Silver haired Samurai.

"Heh!" Cyrus grunted with a smirk as he swung his sword, the molten blood splattering on the floor before he sheathed it and prepared himself. As the building fell Cyrus managed to catch it in his hands. The strain would be hard if he wasn't in his present state, but instead of just holding it, he held it up high above his head.

Viktor huffed as he shook his head from side to side, getting the rubble out of his hair before looking up to see Cyrus bring the building down on top of him.

"Special delivery!" Cyrus laughed as he brought the Building down

"…..oh Bollocks" Viktor cursed before the building crashed on top of him. The ground shook like an earthquake as Viktor was buried beneath the building's weight. Though Cyrus knew for a fact that it wasn't going to be enough as he once again drew his Katana and ran over to the rubble where Viktor would be.

"It's time to die!" Cyrus roared as he readied his sword in both hands, ready to stab it down into the ground and kill Viktor. But before he got the chance, a red Gauntlet shot out from the rubble and fired a red energy blast into Cyrus' chest, sending him flying into the air.

Viktor quickly rose from the rubble and readied his stance as Cyrus came plummeting down. The Black Haired Meta-human shot into the sky and once Cyrus was in range he delivered a kick so hard that it sent Cyrus crashing through another few buildings and into the ground.

"Not yet, arsehole!" Viktor snarled as he landed back on the ground and drove his fist into the rubble to retrieve his broadsword. He gave it a flourish as he flew into the skies to engage Cyrus once again in combat.

"Oh dear god…..what happened?" Carol gasped as both her and Peter got close enough to the city of Chicago to see the state it was in. The sky was nearly blackened by the clouds cast over it and it didn't take superhuman eyesight to see that the city was an absolute wreck as many of the buildings had crumbled to the ground or had been completely demolished.

"I don't know, but we gotta find the others" Peter replied as he held onto Carol tightly.

It didn't take long for Peter and Carol to find the other Avengers as they flew through the air they eventually came by their allies trying to help co-ordinate the evacuation efforts. Captain America was doing his best to direct the police and Shield forces in a way that would help the people of Chicago in the best way, even though he had his mid-section bandaged and his left arm in a sling.

The other Avengers were not looking so good; the only ones who seemed to be more or less fine were Jess, Logan and Laura, the latter of which were much more resilient anyway. Carol and Peter were shocked at the fact that Thor and Hercules looked beaten up to hell, the Thunder God with his chest bandaged up and the Olympian Demi-God with his right arm and left leg in a brace.

"W-What the hell happened?" Carol asked with a worried tone as she landed, Peter hopping off her back as she did.

"Ms Marvel! Oh thank god!" Jess exclaimed as she ran over and embraced her friend in a tight hug.

"I gotta admit I'm glad you two are here" Logan smiled as he and Laura walked over to them.

"What the hell happened Logan?" Peter asked the Mutant

"Total hell Web-head, total hell" Logan replied

"It was Cyrus, we tried to beat him but….he was way too strong" Jess said, Carol could tell she was shaken up and so she put a hand on her shoulder to comfort her. Peter then noticed that even though Thor and Hercules were present, Viktor was nowhere to be seen.

"Wait…..where's Brimstone?" Peter asked as he noted Laura's worried expression.

"He….He" Laura couldn't finish her sentence so her Father put an arm around her shoulder and finished what she was about to say for her.

"He's fighting that Psycho right now"

"Are you kidding? We have to help him then!" Carol said but before she had a chance to fly into the sky ad join in the fight Peter grabbed her arm.

"I don't think that's a good idea" Peter said with caution.

"What do you mean? If he's out there fighting then he needs our help" Carol said back sharply

"That guy took out Thor, Herc and the rest of the team by himself! I don't think joining in would help much!" Peter said sharply, trying to talk some sense into his lover. Carol went wide eyed as she realized that Peter was right, if this guy could take out Thor and Hercules by himself and still have enough energy to fight Viktor, then what chance would she have?

"I don't think we need to worry about helping Vik guys" Logan said

"And why is that?" Carol asked

"It's not him I'm worried about…its everyone else, imagine what happened on Genosha times two" Logan said as Peter and Carol both went wide eyed.

God help them if Logan was right.

"GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!" Cyrus roared as he swung his Katana downwards into Viktor's waiting Broadsword. The sparks flew all over the place as he did. The Silver Haired Samurai knew that if the fight kept going like this then it wouldn't be over anytime soon, so he pulled out a few tricks of his.

Cyrus switched sword hands and began attacking left handed in an attempt to confuse and put Viktor off balance. The tactic worked for a while as Cyrus began using more acrobatic attacks as he began using kicks against Viktor.

Viktor then seemed off-balance enough for Cyrus to witch back to right handed attacks were he struck Viktor across the inside of his elbow, slicing the tendons and causing him to drop his sword to the ground. Cyrus beat Viktor to the draw as he kicked him in the face, sending him stumbling back a few feet, giving Cyrus time to kick Viktor's sword into the distance where it imbedded itself into a building about 50 feet away.

As soon as Viktor recovered Cyrus lunged at him with his sword, attempting to slice him to ribbons. Without his sword Viktor resorted to using his Gauntlets to block Cyrus' attacks.

Luckily Viktor was used to fighting with his Gauntlets, even though he felt much more comfortable with a blade it was much easier to manoeuvre around Cyrus' attacks. Cyrus however was going to have a much better time as this gave him a lot less risk of getting decapitated if he made a mistake.

Viktor blocked Cyrus' sword strike with his forearms, sparks flying as the blade made contact. It was much harder blocking this time as Viktor's arms didn't have the leverage his sword had even though he had greater manoeuvrability.

'What the hell are these gauntlets made of?' Cyrus thought as his blade failed to slice through them like he wanted. Viktor took advantage his confusion and weaved under the blade to deliver a mean right hook to Cyrus' face. His visor may have protected from the majority of the force, but the blow still managed to wind him, giving Viktor enough time and opportunities to attack him with everything he had.

Viktor threw a right hand into Cyrus' gut before grabbing his head and bringing it down on his knee, the British Avenger then brought his elbow down on the back of his head before throwing him over into another building.

"How do you like that eh?" Viktor laughed as Cyrus got back to his feet. The red eyed samurai's eyes burned brighter as he shook the rubble from his shoulders and flourished his sword.

"This fight just got a bit more interesting" Cyrus chuckled as he lunged at Viktor once again. This time he moved with such speed that Viktor had a hard time following his movements as his style of fighting became a mix of Japanese and Chinese sword fighting techniques.

Cyrus swung his sword at Viktor's knees, managing to cut his left knee cap open. Viktor grunted in pain, but Cyrus leapt up and drop kicked Viktor in the chest, sending him through another building which Cyrus sprinted though at break back pace.

"This isn't over! Get up! Get up know and fight me!" Cyrus demanded angrily as he flourished his sword. It was only then that Cyrus heard the shrieks and screams to his right so he turned to see the police evacuating the people of Chicago at a rapid pace. Their fight seemed to have reached the outer city where the people were still being evacuated.

Cyrus hated the sounds of shrieking and screaming, they were irritating and annoying sounds that didn't appeal to him in any way. He just wanted these pathetic and irritating humans to shut up and let him enjoy his fight.

"Silence! If you open your mouths again I'll rip them off!" Cyrus roared his fiery eyes and mouth giving him the appearance of some kind of demon. His appearance was not doing him any favours in terms of making him less terrifying.

The cops that were in charge of evacuating started to hurry the people as fast as they could while the other cops whom were watching the perimeter locked their guns on Cyrus as he began approaching them at a steady yet pissed off pace.

"No….stop….don't" Viktor groaned wearily as he tried getting up from out of the rubble. His empowered state starting to take a toll on his body.

*BANG! BANG!

"No" Viktor whispered in shock as Cyrus' attention was now fixed on the pathetic insects trying to ruin his fight with Viktor.

"That's it…..DIE YOU PATHETIC WORMS!" Cyrus roared as he ran full pelt at the cops who immediately began firing their weapons at the Samurai. The bullets did nothing to the Meta-human, in this state he could barely feel them touch his skin. So when he was within range he began to viscously slice them into pieces.

Cyrus' Katana sliced through them like a hot knife through butter as the protective vests they were wearing did almost nothing to stop Cyrus from cutting them to pieces. Arcs of red blood splattered over the pavement and the surrounding buildings as Cyrus didn't falter in his onslaught of brutality as he dismembered and mutilated the cops who were feebly firing at him.

"NOOOOO!" Viktor roared as he ran up behind Cyrus and grabbed him by both his arms mere inches before he reached the people being evacuated.

"Run…now!" Viktor commanded in his distorted voice. The people and the cops did as told and ran as fast as humanly possible to get out of the way.

"This is between you and me Cyrus….leave them out of this!" Viktor roared as he used every last ounce of his strength to prevent Cyrus from killing anyone else.

"What an excellent idea!" Cyrus grunted as he broke Viktor's grip and kicked him backwards, causing him to crash into the street, creating another trail of broken rubble and concrete. Cyrus grinned and leapt over and plummeted into the ground, landing on top of Viktor and punching him with his free hand.

"I want you to suffer you son of a bitch!" Cyrus growled, his eyes burning impossibly bright.

"Why? What the hell did I do to piss you off so much?" Viktor panted as he got to his feet, he felt his nose beginning to bleed, an early sign that his empowered mode was taking its toll.

"Don't play stupid with me! You know exactly what you deserve! What you did!" Cyrus growled as he grabbed Viktor's hat and threw it away so he could grab a fistful of his hair to raise him from the floor.

"I don't want you to stop breathing until I get justice for what you caused" Cyrus growled into Viktor's face, Steam erupting from his mouth as he did.

"What…the hell does that mean?" Viktor wheezed as he felt himself getting weaker. It was then that Cyrus realized how weak Viktor was getting with time. He first thought it was beating he was giving, but when he thought about it Viktor didn't look that beaten up, then he saw what looked like blood staining his mask from the inside.

Cyrus knew for a fact that the empowered state that the both of them were in had a limit for the user. Cyrus however unlike Viktor had been training with his for a much longer time and thus could hold it longer. What surprised Cyrus was how Viktor was weakening so quickly.

That's when it hit him.

"…It can't be….No….No it can't be" Cyrus said as his eyes widened disbelief in his tone and dropped Viktor to the ground.

"You….You really forgot? You forgot everything?" Cyrus asked rhetorically.

"Forgot? Forgot what?" Viktor asked as his eyes jolted wide open, he may actually get answers from Cyrus.

"…And of course…now it all makes sense…why else would you ally with pathetic and unworthy creatures like this" Cyrus said with a grin behind his visor. Viktor was beginning to get angrier as Cyrus managed his way around Viktor's questions.

"ANSWER ME!" Viktor bellowed at a volume that surprised Cyrus and made his eyes widen. The fires in Viktor's eyes began burning brighter and his runes began to burn all the more brightly as well.

"I can't believe it…..you forgot everything! How else would you be this weak?" Cyrus said with a chuckle in his voice….but soon the chuckle became replaced with a growl of anger.

"No….NO…..NO! I WILL NOT BE DENIED MY JUSTICE!" Cyrus roared as he grabbed Viktor by the throat and hurled him through another tall structure. The beating that Cyrus was giving him was not making his situation any better. Viktor had never taken a beating like this in his life as he crashed through the structure, bricks and mortar being broken to pieces as his form flew through them at a break back pace.

As Viktor finally stopped he found himself yet again lying in a pile of rubble and debris, his eyes beginning to lose their flare and his runes beginning to dim. 'No!' he thought, he had gone through his entire life not knowing who or what he was, now that the answers were within reach we wasn't going to give up. He had gone through too much, lost too much, and been gained too much to let this happen.

'I'm not going to let him beat me! I'm going to get my answers out of him, even if I have to rip them out of his skull!' Viktor thought as he growled, his mind began heating up in a flurry of emotions that his consciousness could barely register. He had waited 900 years for this moment, and he was not going to let it pass him by. No matter the cost he was going to get his answers, and nothing would stop him.

Even though Viktor thought he was still in control of his empowered state, he was in reality giving in to his primal instincts, his animalistic side had seen an opportunity to take over and it took it. His eyes began to brighten and his runes began to burn once again…only this time they weren't the only changes his body was going through.

"If you think that I will let you off because of some memory loss, then you have another thing coming!" Cyrus growled as he landed by Viktor and flourished his sword, Viktor had his back to him so he could not see his expression.

"I think hacking off a couple of limbs should do the trick and maybe bring back something" Cyrus growled as he brought down his Katana in a mighty swing downwards, intent on slicing off Viktor's right arm.

*CLANG!

"What the…" Cyrus gasped as his Katana was in the grip of Viktor's left hand.

Cyrus hadn't even seen him move; before he knew it Viktor had turned around and caught Cyrus' blade mid swing and now had a firm grip on it.

"….so…..I've pushed you this far have I?" Cyrus smiled behind his visor as he got a better look of Viktor's face. His skin looked like Magma as his skin turned to a burnt looking black with glowing red cracks all over his face and his pupils had went slitted. His facemask had even burnt open as his mouth was literally erupting flames and his teeth had went from human to serrated.

"Huh…what do you know? This is an actually good look for you" Cyrus grinned as he gazed at Viktor's demonic appearance. Any human that saw this sight would say he looked like a demon, but Cyrus knew better, he had seen this sight before and knew it was simply the next stage of the empowered state, one that he hardly ever used due to its relentless and animalistic power. Cyrus noted the lack of control in his eyes.

Viktor snarled as molten magma dripped from his mouth and before Cyrus knew it Viktor ploughed his fist into the Samurai's face. The force of the blow had 10 times the strength of Viktor's previous blows to him. Cyrus actually felt the punch dislocate his lower jaw, which was not an easy feat when he had his visor up.

*KRAKOOOOOOOOOOM!*

"Ah….Gat…Gucking Hurk" Cyrus said, his dislocated jaw getting in the way of his speech. Cyrus made his visor retract so that he could crack his jaw back into place. The Silver haired samurai was sure to make it quick like ripping off a band aid, plus with the enhanced healing this form gave him, the pain went away fast.

*CRACK!*

"AAGH! DAMMIT!" Cyrus said as his jaw snapped back into place. He stopped rubbing it when he felt the nerves and joints already healing themselves. Cyrus could already feel the killer intent as he heard Viktor let out a bone chilling roar that sounded less human that his distorted voice from before.

Cyrus took this chance to assess his situation; he could probably take Viktor down if he got a good enough hit with his Katana to the Meta-human's neck since he could still formulate a plan, but Viktor now had speed, strength, power and a better healing factor on his side.

"Well…looks like I have to fight fire…with fire" Cyrus sighed as he stood up and flourished his Katana and superheated it to temperatures that would sear to the touch.

"This….is going to fucking hurt" Cyrus gritted his teeth together as he pressed the tip of the blade against his stomach.

"GGGGGAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Cyrus roared in pain as his drove the blade through his stomach, blood spilling out and splattering onto the floor as he did. Cyrus had learned from training his powers that the animalistic form that Viktor had entered could only be engaged through either extreme pain or sheer willpower.

Cyrus was activating his, by using the former.

Cyrus' screams of pain soon turned into an insane and animalistic laughter as the blood stopped flowing as he pulled the sword from his stomach. Once the Katana left his flesh he swung it, causing the blood to splatter on the floor before he sheathed it. The Samurai's skin then began to blacken and glowing magma like lines began cracking across said blackened skin, the flames in his eyes burned like they had gasoline poured on them and flames began to bellow from the edges of his visor. His runes also burned brighter, as if enhanced by the power of a sun.

Cyrus then ceased his laughter and his pupils suddenly went slitted as he let out a low and guttural growl. Any sign of control disappeared from his eyes and the beast took control as his posture went from straight and balanced to crouch like a predator.

He flexed his clawed gauntlet fingers and locked eyes with an equally rapid Viktor and let out a loud snarl before he ran full belt at his rival, Viktor did he turned into a blur of Red and Black as Cyrus turned into a blur of Silver and Red.

The two red eyed brutes crashed into each other at such a fast and brutal pace that the ground shook and a sonic boom caused the ground beneath them to become crumbled and compacted, creating a crater when they locked hands.

Viktor's Gauntlets locked with Cyrus' as they roared into each other's faces, the smell of fire and brimstone evident in the air as the two titans snarled and battled for dominance. The sound of thunder was drowned out completely as the only sounds that could be heard now where the animalistic and primal snarls and growls of the two Red eyed horrors struggling to overpower the other.

This was no longer a battle between two warriors, but a match of brute strength between two behemoths, both empowered by the most primal element known to man. The ground beneath them actually began to sizzle and burn as the concrete itself began to weaken and crumble as if the atoms couldn't take the pure concentrated energy the two gave off.

Even the water molecules in the air around them began to condense and evaporate as the heat around them actually began to resemble a sun as the primal rage only rose.

Both Cyrus and Viktor then broke their struggle and both wound up for a punch, the two Red eyed titans wound up their right fists and threw them at each other in a punch so powerful that the metal in their gauntlets heated up to such heights that the metallic colouring went from silver and red to a burning white.

The shockwave that was created as their fists collided caused every window and piece of glass for about 5 miles to shatter into tiny pieces as the pure power of the collision washed over the city. The pure energy that the two emitted began to take the form of a cloak of flames that enveloped the two as their fists' grinded against each other, causing sparks to fly across the place.

The flames roared as did Viktor in Cyrus as their fiery cloaks began to cover their entire bodies as they broke their fists away from each other and began to trade furiously powerful blows, neither one of them conscious on the damage they were doing to their surroundings as buildings were blown to pieces and streets were compacted under the sheer power of their attacks.

"Shit! Everybody take cover!" Steve shouted as he ordered the Avengers to take as much protective cover as they could. Steve used his shield while the Avengers with higher durability shielded those whom were not so lucky to have bulletproof skin or the armour of a god.

More Avengers had shown up since Viktor and Cyrus engaged each other in combat, and were trying their best to make sure they weren't caught in the crossfire between the two red eyed combatants. Bill Foster and Hank Pym had grown up to 50ft in order to shield the majority of the other Avengers and police from the force of the attacks.

Even though the Avengers doing the shielding had a greater durability when they were grown up to heights such as this, they were still feeling the immense heat coming from both Cyrus and Viktor from entire streets away from them.

"God dammit! We got to stop those two! If this keeps on there won't be anything left of the city!" Wasp shouted over the clashing of the two in the background.

"By all means my Guest!" Wonder Man shouted sarcastically.

"If you tried to stop them, they would kill you! Trust me I know!" Laura shouted, speaking from experience. When she went into her feral state she wouldn't stop until someone was dead.

"She's right, there's nothing we can do! Viktor managed to kick our arses on Genosha, now there's two of him!" Jess shouted, not wanting to face Cyrus again, especially now that he was trying as opposed to humouring them.

"Uh guys…I don't think those buildings are gonna stay up for much longer!" Peter shouted, pointing at the buildings that were shielding them from the brunt of Cyrus and Viktor's fighting. The foundations of the line of skyscrapers and apartment complexes were weakening more every second that Cyrus and Viktor fought.

*KRAKOOM!*

Viktor and Cyrus' fists collided once again, resulting in another shockwave thus weakening the buildings and skyscrapers yet again to the point where they would collapse at any moment.

"RAAAAAAAAAAAAARGHHHHHHH!" Cyrus roared as he charged up his other hand with thermal energy.

"RRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!" Viktor roared back as he also charged up his free hand with thermal energy.

The two Meta-humans then broke their fists away from each other and leapt back, still charging their hands with as much thermal energy as they could muster. Neither Viktor nor Cyrus had control over how much energy they were gathering in their hands as they began to use both their hands in synch.

Viktor by all accounts looked terrible as his outfit was torn to shreds, his coat had managed to stay intact but his Flak jacket had been torn and clawed at, showing off his torso which had also went blackened and looked more like an armoured carapace than a human chest anymore. His pectoral and abdominal muscles were highlighted by the cracks of lava which had done a fine job of burning away his undershirt. He had claw marks in his trousers and the metal of his boots were superheated to the point where they were glowing white. Though the crazed look on his face identified that fact that he either wasn't close to tiring or he was so feral that he just didn't care.

Cyrus didn't look so fresh himself as his armour was barley holding together, the metal armour plates themselves weren't damaged per say, but the chain-mail material that held them together was not holding up as well. Viktor's clawed gauntlets seemed to have torn the mail to pieces as the armour plates hung barely, thus showing off Cyrus' carapace of a chest as well.

Both Viktor and Cyrus' fists burned in a veil of flames, burning brightly like that of a sun. The two kept constant eye contact as lava dripped from their mouths full of serrated teeth, both taking on the appearance of creatures you would see in the Old Testament, yet different in a way that no human on the planet would understand.

Both Cyrus and Viktor snarled as they finally fired off a dual handed energy blast, the two red beams colliding in the middle. The ground beneath them burned and became scorched and burned as the pure energy they were emitting would have incinerated a person if they got too close.

The point of collision of the two beams began to become unstable as the pure unadulterated power that Cyrus and Viktor were putting into this attack was simply too much. The centre of collision began to expand at a speedy rate as it began to look like a sun was being born from their power. It kept expanding until it engulfed the two super beings in a flare.

The sphere of energy then exploded in a flash of white, the buildings in the immediate vicinity seemed to evaporate under the pure heat and energy of the explosion.

*KRAAKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!*

*15 minutes later

Cold

Cold was all that he could feel

Funny

He hadn't felt cold for 900 years

Not since that day

It scared him

Viktor opened his eyes wearily as he could barely feel the rest of his body under the pure cold he felt enveloping his form. Viktor couldn't help but have minor difficulty as his eyes seemed to be encased in some sort of crust that crumbled away once he opened his crimson red eyes.

He expected the first thing he would see to be the ground or the distance of where he was lying.

He didn't expect to see a boot about to collide with his face.

*CRACK!*

"AAGH!" Viktor shouted as the force of the kick sent him onto his back, breaking off the rest of the black, crusty substance that seemed to be encasing his body.

He had to kick his attacker one thing…he knew how to clear a man's sinuses, even if it gave him a worse headache than before.

"Blaagh!" the attacker seemed to lurch over and hurl up a mouthful of blood as he walked over to Viktor.

Viktor's blurry vision soon cleared and what he saw was a sky blackened by smoke. He turned to his head to see his attacker.

It was Cyrus, and he looked bad.

He looked like he could barely stand as he balanced himself with his sheathed Katana, his left leg seemed to be broken and he was clutching his side with his free hand. His once fairly kept Silver hair was now messed up and had black specks all over it. His Visor was down, showing his bloody mouth and cracked lips. But what made him look really bad were his dimly glowing red eyes which seemed to be weakening with time.

"You…are….a tough one…I will give you that" Cyrus panted wearily as he could barely keep his eyes open.

"No one….and I mean…No one….has made me go…that far…for a long…long time" Cyrus hobbled toward Viktor's form.

"But even…Now…I could kill you, it would be so easy for me to draw my….Sword…and put it to your throat….all I would…have to do….is lean" Cyrus panted as blood ran down the side of his mouth.

"But…I want you…to know why….I want you dead….killing a creature that may as well be human….would…never satisfy what I want from you" Cyrus wheezed. Viktor couldn't help but cough up a mouthful of blood of his own as Cyrus continued to hobble toward him.

"Understand this…Viktor…I am…Only letting you…live…for two reasons"

"One…I wish to cross blades with you again…your skill…is like none I have…seen for a…while"

"And Two…I want you to…remember…the Justice…that you owe me" Cyrus wheezed before coughing up another mouthful of blood.

"A….War is coming….very soon….and you will pick a side Viktor…just remember this…"

"…Do you really want to be….Like them….Like these pathetic…and short lived creatures?" Cyrus asked weakly gesturing outwards.

"Remember what you are…you are better than them…" Cyrus wheezed as he then pressed a few controls on his left gauntlet. The Gauntlet then began to buzz with electricity which enveloped Cyrus' form and soon made him disappear into thin air as if he was not there.

It was then that Viktor saw it.

The city of Chicago

Destroyed

The city seemed to have been set aflame as smoke rose from the wreckage of what used to be a great city. It looked like the aftermath of an apocalypse film as the ground was scorched and burnt and the husks of what used to be buildings were still tumbling to the floor like leaves.

Viktor's eyes widened as he saw the husks fall and break into nothing like ashes.

"My god…." Viktor whispered as his eyes began to weaken and fall heavy.

"What….have…I done?" Viktor whispered as he saw the shape of an immensely large aircraft hove descend. Viktor's vision began to blur as he could swear he saw a figure running toward him.

"Viktor!" the figure shouted in a panicking tone as they approached

Viktor could barely even make out their form as they approached as he slowly fell out of consciousness. Darkness took hold and everything went silent.

The Spark had done its job

The Flames

Had been lit

Alrighty then everyone, you wanted a Stanford Esque event….there you

Btw- I apoligize to any of my readers that live in Chicago, nothing against the place, I had to happen somewhere right?

Got a question for all my viewers like always, this one actually pertains to the story as I think I need some help from you guys.

DO YOU THINK I SHOULD USE S.H.I.E.L.D, H.A.M.M.E.R OR AN OC ORGANISATION TO ENFORCE THE S.H.R.A WHEN IT IS RELEASED? IF AN OC ONE, THROW ME SOME EXAMPLES.

Until next time guys, where we will see the aftermath of Cyrus and Viktor's clash

This is Dakkaman777, see you next time! :)
