Hey Guys! Today is a very special day for me! My birthday! So to celebrate here is the next chapter for you guys!
IMPORTANT:
For the people who hate cliches, I want to say that I personally love them. And they are in this fanfic. It is how it is.
The blonde slowly opened her eyelids to see the sunlight in her face being the first thing to greet her. She gradually stood up to see the room was empty.
It bothered her on how much space she had right now. It always annoyed her when she was a kid and it still does till this day. There wasn't even a nurse asking how she was feeling but then again what did she expect? She strictly told Levy not to blow her cover so that meant the bluentte wouldn't come, and everybody else hated her...
Hated...
That word she was so familiar with terrified her...
Putting that thinking aside, Lucy checked her forehead to feel it was still quite warm. She should have been taking better care of herself this week. A good nights rest and some medicine should make her feel better by the next day.
The Danger Class got off of her bed and stretched her arms before heading towards the exit. How long was she out? It couldn't have been too long since it was still so bright outside.
Walking into the stage room to practice rehearsal like the past few days, she noticed the tension in the air. Lucy nonchalantly walked over to Levy to ask what had happened during her absence, "what happened here Bookworm?" she asked with a straight face on.
Levy nearly hugged her best friend when she asked her that question. It was clear to see she was most definitely worried about her which caused Lucy to let a small smile escape, "I'm so glad you're alright Lu-chan," she whispered so nobody else could hear it. The Bookworm started to shack her head in disappointment, "I'm so sorry I didn't come and visit-"
"Don't worry about it," the blonde interrupted. Just knowing she cared so much was enough, she smiled and cleared her throat in embarrassment. She didn't have anybody to worry for her in a long time, "so like I said before, what happened?" she said coolly, resuming her act as a Danger Class.
Levy stared a Juvia who was helping with the costumes for the play, "Juvia and Gray are having some... problems. Gray went home claiming he was sick and Juvia is just acting calm and quiet like all her emotions were drained from her."
Lucy gave a look of pity towards Juvia, "I don't really get what relationship they have, but it looks like they're going through a ruff path," she spoke with a concerned tone of voice. She had no clue why Juvia loved him so much. He played with many girls' hearts believe it or not, but she still liked him. Lucy always assumed she was crazy of just desperate to love him but to have such a broken heart was unbelievable. The blonde didn't know much about anyone's past. She came her after Juvia and Gajeel had so the relationship between Gray and Juvia was a mystery towards her, "but their past is none of my business, and I have no plan of being part of it." Lucy started to walk away from the director and start her lines, "I just hope everything works out for them."
The bluentte stared at the swimmer who was hiding her true feelings with a fake smile covering it, "but you helped Erza and Jellal," she muttered staring at her scarlet haired friend who was currently scolding others.
"I only did that because Erza asked Celesta. That and I owed her for causing too much trouble for the school," Lucy let a yawn escape. She was still drowsy from her wake up.
"Do you think they'll be alright?" Levy asked in concern. She hated it when her friends were in pain. She wanted to help.
Lucy sighed, stilling acting to be cruel, "my opinion doesn't matter, what does matter is what Gray and Juvia thinks of each other."
Gray was on his bed staring at the fan on the ceiling spinning round and round with headphones blasting away music in his ears to distract him from the outside world. What was so great about Juvia? She was just a girl... Just a stalker. He had some of them before... Then why did he feel so much pain? He wanted to cry his eyes out. His brain kept on replaying the moment where he broke her. He could still hear her trembling voice as if she was in the room saying his name... 'Gray...'
"Why?" the raven haired teen muttered covering his eyes with his arm out of stress. The other hand was used to take out the headphones. What he was doing right now wasn't clearly helping in the slightest.
He remembered the conversation he had with Celesta the other day. (Chapter 6)
'On to the next caller! Now here is IceMage333. What's your question?'
"Listen, so I have this huge problem with this stalker girl. She is always creeping me out and following me everywhere, and now she and I have to work together on a stupid mission because of my dumb-ass friend. Whatever I do she won't leave me alone! Hell! Once I even pretended to be dead to get away from her!"
'Look IceMage. A lot of people would be happy to have a stalker girl. Be grateful. That or grow some balls and tell her to get away from you or even put on a restraining order on her.'
It was strange... It was like Celesta was telling him to cherish her before all this shit happened to him. He should have been just happy she was by his side even if it was constantly every second; in fact, he once found her breaking into his house. He chuckled remembering how he reacted to a crazy Juvia clutching so strongly to a shirt he once wore. She was actually smelling it because it had his scent.
Gray's small chuckle quickly died down. That would probably never happen again because of what he did. The worst part was while he was sulking right now, Juvia was probably all alone to deal with this.
He didn't deserve to see her smile.
He didn't deserve to make her happy...
But why did he have the feeling of wanting to make her happy? To make her smile? What did that crazy girl do to him that made him so confused and frustrated?
His train of thoughts was thrown off somewhere after his bedroom door suddenly broke down revealing a certain rosy-haired teen with a look of anger and disbelief, "Natsu? How did you?-"
"I broke down your door since it was locked, and you haven't been answering the damn doorbell. I was out there for like ten minutes! Like what the hell man?!" Natsu pouted, "so what is wrong with you?" he asked. It was clear the raven-haired was the center of his attention.
...
...
...
"You broke down the front door?! My dad's going to kill me!" Gray snapped looking outside his window to see his door was crushed to pieces, "what the hell is wrong with you?!" the stripper grabbed Natsu's collar in anger.
"Your dad is the least of your worries. The alarm went off and the police will be here soon. I want to add that your security sucks by the way," Natsu said bluntly with a toothy grin.
"That's even worse!"
This time Natsu grabbed Gray's collar as well, "alright, enough talk about the stupid door," he spoke in a serious yet kind tone, "you don't really care about the door. You're just upset about something. What is it?"
Gray refused to make eye contact and growled, "I don't want to talk about it," he said looking at the other direction. He let go of the rosy-hair's collar, and Natsu imitated his action.
"That's bull," his best friend spat, "we've been friends since I can remember so don't tell me you're fine ice princess!" out of Natsu's anger, he punched the stripper on his right cheek.
Gray's eyes widened and threw a fist back at him, "well how can someone like you understand what the fuck I'm going through!?" he yelled like he was letting all his anger and stress out, "my fucking siblings hate me! I don't know why Juvia is always on my mind! And don't know what I'm doing anymore!"
Natsu grabbed hold of Gray's forehead and slammed his head onto him, "so are you going to act like a pussy or do something about it?! Just because you don't know what you're doing doesn't mean you should just do nothing and cry about it you idiot!" Gray swung his fist at him again, but Natsu easily dodged, "why do you think I'm here Gray?! I know a thing or two about family troubles! And as your best friend, I have to knock some sense into you before it's really too late!"
After several minutes of punching each other in the face, the two fall down to the ground next to another and take large breaths in and out. Its been a while since they had a fight like that.
"So what's your deal man?" Natsu huffed trying to catch his breath and wiped off the sweat on his forehead.
The raven haired panted, "Juvia, man... I don't know why she's on my mind. I feel terrible knowing I hurt her. Why do I feel this way? Don't I hate her?"
Natsu just laughed loudly, "you really are an idiot droopy eyes," he playfully hit his friend's shoulder, "you're in love with that crazy stalker. Why else did you get so mad when Lyon was hitting on her during the Grand Sport Games?"
The stripper sighed, "is that what that feeling in my chest at that time was? Jealousy?"
"Yup"
"Man... I always thought about her all the time since the day we first met. She always smiles at me with her kind eyes that even I am sometimes blinded by on how bright they shine. She's never gives up on me and never lets me feel lonely. She finds a way to make me smile in the end. To me, Juvia is like a the sun." Gray paused for a slight moment, "she shines on me with her rays of happiness and show me the light. Even when I can't see her, I know she will come back and shine my way to the right path..." he stopped to realize and process all he had said, "Holy shit... I... I'm in love with Juvia..." he let out a breathless laugh and clenched his fists tight, "I love her so much... How did I not realize it until now?"
"With all that family shit going on, I'm not surprised," the rosy-haired teen grinned happily now that Gray finally understood his true feelings, "I don't usually approve a Sky Class, but it sounds like that doesn't matter now."
Gray face-palmed himself, "but the things I said to Juvia, how can I ever win her back?" he mumbled sadly getting back up. How could he just ask for forgiveness after what he said to her? The pain he made her go through?
"Why are you asking me that? Don't you think you should go out there and find out for yourself?" the rosy-haired teen asked as he got half of his upper body standing, "go get her. She's special to you right?" he patted his best friends back, "stop hiding in the shadows and go towards the light."
"But what if she rejects me?"
"Stop sounding like a fucking girl, it's strange even for you Ice Princess," Natsu fully got up, "but what I think you should do is face reality. If she says no, then you have to live with that burden. But if she says yes, you also have to live with the burden of what you made her go through."
Gray rose a brow, "so I feel guilty either way? What kind of chose is that?"
"Life is cruel my friend," Natsu stated, "good luck."
"Thanks" Gray said as he grabbed his jacket to go out and face Juvia.
Despite all the things that happened to Natsu, he was still willing to do everything he could for his friends when they needed it the most. What a guy.
Before Natsu could say anything, a roaring voice beat him, "WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO MY DOOR!" Gray's father rushed to his son's room cracking his knuckles. A large vein popped out and a more terrifying smile came upon his face.
Gray froze in fear. If his father was smiling like how he was now l, it meant hell was coming, "Natsu did it!" he immediately pointed at whom he blamed.
"Hiya Silver!" Natsu said cautiously trembling and raised his hand half way up to greet him, "and blame your idiotic son!"
"What are you doing here dad?! You don't get off work until midnight," the son changed the subject. His father was a lawyer who was currently working for a guy who was accused of rape.
A horrifying atmosphere surrounded the grown man, "the school called to tell me you felt sick, so I rushed here to check up on you," his voice was threatening and sent chills to Natsu's and Gray's spines'.
"What a kind father you are," after he finished his sentence, Gray pushed Natsu towards his father and ran for the door. Silver caught his son's best friend but wasn't able to catch Gray, "see ya tomorrow Flame-Brain!" he yelled heading out the exit of the house.
The rosy-haired teen blinked taking in what he did, "you fucking traitor! Betrayal!" he sighed and stared at the middle aged man, "you sure have one hell of a son."
Silver ruffled up the teens hair and let out a hearty laugh. Silver was a father figure to Natsu because of the absence of his own father when he was a toddler, and Silver always thought of Natsu as another son, "he's as hard headed as his mother."
"You know he still blames himself for the divorce every single day right?" Natsu said with a mutual tone.
The father figure only kept on smiling, "even if I say something like 'it's not your fault' or 'don't blame yourself', he still will, in fact, he would blame himself more." Silver shook his head, "speaking of family problems how are you things with your father?" he asked Natsu like a comrade.
The teen's eyes widened filled with darkness and turned his head to the opposite direction where Silver was at, "same as ever," he muttered lowly.
"He returned three years ago, and you're still mad at him? Don't you think you should-"
His sentence was interrupted when Natsu slammed both his hands onto a near by desk to cut him halfway. Silver rose both his hands up as if he was surrendering, "sorry, I went to far I suppose."
"Yea..." everything went silent, "I think I should show myself out." Natsu exited Gray's room and the house stomping his feet loud as he walked like a frustrated child.
Silver stared at the teen out of his son's window and rolled his eyes and shook his head, "teens these days." Before he went back to his own room, he noticed the sound of police syringes drawing near him. He looked back again at the window to see several police cars surrounding his house... Policemen exited their vehicles and rampaged into his house. Seeing the door was broken down only made them more tense and aggressive to catch who they thought was a burglar.
Doranbolt and Lahar entered Gray's room and pointed their guns a the middle aged man. Doranbolt put his finger on the trigger that was close to firing, "put your hands up!" they obviously didn't know that the person they were aiming at was the owner of the house.
Gray's father did as they commanded with an irritated face, "officers you got it all wrong. This is just a misunderstanding."
Lahar went behind him to put handcuffs on his wrists and led him out the broken door, "that's what they all say. You are under arrest for trespassing and breaking and entering. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of law."
Silver's eye twitched and grinded his teeth ruffly, "I am going to kill that brat," he said referring to his son for getting him into this situation.
"You do know what you just said right in front of us right?" Doranbolt asked with disbelief
School was still in section so that meant Juvia was working on the designs and costume. He asked the other students where she was one person directed him to the music room. He was in front of the door to where the bluenette was. Clenching his hands tightly, he finally was able to build up the courage to apologize. Gray slammed the door open out of stress to make his confession, "Juvia I-" he stopped his sentence with the sight he was seeing with his very own eyes. He could have sworn for a moment he could feel a shape edge pierce his heart.
"Gray-sa-... Gray..." Juvia muttered in complete surprise.
Time froze.
Juvia wasn't alone in the music room... She was locked lips with another man.
"... Lyon..." Gray was able to mutter out. Everything in him shattered.
No story suggestion this time. Sorry~
Also sorry if it was a little rushed, I just really wanted to show you this part!
