Last time, things for the O.R.C. has been going smoothly with Asia's enrollment to Kuoh Academy. Days later, Naruto was told that he would be given a chance to get his familiar. As everyone was waiting for their kings to decide on how Naruto and Saji will compete in order to be the first to get their familiars, both Rias and Sona gazed at their two pieces once more.

"That may be true Saji…" Sona started, "… but tell me something? Can you currently stand up against Naruto-san as you are now?" asking her pawn

Saji looked stumped for a moment before looking back at Naruto who still stood in the same spot where Saji analyzed him. Saji knows that he has been training hard under his king but comparing himself next to Naruto, he had to look down on himself in depression.

"Alright then, with that settled we'll prepare to leave for the familiar forest this week." Rias declared where Rias' peerage agreed.

It was dark but high in the sky a full red moon provided illumination to the forest area. Currently, Rias and everyone in the O.R.C were in the familiar forest which, for the new members, reminded them of a scary swamp forest that were in horror films.

As everyone continued to walk through the dense bark forest, Issei commented on how this could hide some monster that will sprung up and catch them by surprise.

"You don't have to worry about that Issei." Smiled Akeno, "It's quite natural for a few people to get that feeling when they come here for the first time." Said the Nadeshiko

"In order to get their familiars every devils would eventually come here to meet up with the Familiar Master." Rias stated as she led the group with Naruto close by since he was the one to get a familiar today.

We came here ourselves when we received ours as well, right Koneko." Kiba said with Koneko nodded her head in agreeing with the blonde knight.

As they moved along Asia wondered about the red moon where Rias explained that it well only loom over this area since it would make it easier for devils to find their familiars.

Not long after they heard a voice shout out from above them, "Welcome to the Familiar Forest!"

They all turned to see a man standing on the tree branches, who was wearing cartoon like clothing from Pokemon.

"There's quite a few of you, its nice to meet ya all! The name Zatouji, the Familiar Master!"

Naruto, Issei, and Asia looked at the guy like he was weird hippie. Naruto commented on how strange Zatouji is where he wondered if he can truly help.

"He might not look like it, but he's a professional." Akeno replied as they watch the man leap of the tree and landed next to the group.

"Tonight's the perfect time to get a good familiar. Now then, whose here to get their familiar?" the Familiar Master asked where Naruto walked up to him.

Zatouji analyzed Naruto before asking him, "Alright then boy, what kind of familiar you want? One with incredible strength? A speed type? Maybe one with a poison ability?" getting Naruto to think about it for a moment.

"If anything, I would just like to have one that is really reliable." Naruto simply answered

"A reliable type huh? Well there are dozens of types that could be your liking. But unless you know what kind of familiar you want you may have to come back a few several times in order to find what you're looking for." Zatouji commented

Naruto thought again to help narrow down the search, "I know, something small like a small or medium size dog who is both smart and normal that won't make anyone suspicious, something that can hide pretty good?" he asked

"Hm~ a familiar that is about that size, along with being good at hiding and is very smart. Not to mention normal." Zatouji thought out loud. "Well, there are a few that comes to mind but it is going to be very hard to find them especially since we only have one night. But if anything let me take you to a spot where we can at least start off." Zatouji suggested where everyone agreed.

Everyone followed the strange master of the forest where he led them to a pretty good area where everyone went to help Naruto out by looking for a creature. Finding nothing, Naruto decided to try something else where he said that he'll wonder the area along for a bit since all the noise might be making some creatures frighten by the noise. Getting the approval, Naruto left the group where he walked in a straight path for a couple of minutes.

As Naruto looked around something caught his eye as he saw flickers of flames from a bit of distance away from him. He decided to go and check it out where he made it in not time. Looking around he saw a small five foot tall tree engulf in flames. Looking around he wondered on what could have caused this. His question was suddenly answered when he saw a huge shadow stretching out in front of him.

The shadow figure moved slowly as it gave him a small growl where Naruto kept his cool. Slowly turning around, summoning his blade into his hand where he stopped as he soon saw what was behind him.

"N-Nani?!" stuttered the blonde

Behind him, he saw a small size orange-red fox with one tail. The fox glared at the blonde where Naruto just dismissed his sword where he slowly walked closer to the fox. Seeing how small the fox is, mysterious piece guessed that it was just a kit.

"Hey kit…" where the fox growled a bit more at him, "… trying to act tough now, huh." Naruto gestured to the fox.

The response he got from the small kit was a giant 5-foot diameter blue fireball heading right towards him. Registering the danger, Naruto barely dodged the blast where he then looked back at the small fox.

"Man… you got some breathe for a little guy." Smirked Naruto as he thought about trying to get this kit as his familiar.

Before the small kit could try to move Naruto used his advance speed to get behind the little kit where he lift him up. The small kit struggled a bit before he felt something petting behind his ear.

Getting behind the small kit, Naruto gently lifted the small kit with his right hand while petting him behind the ear with his left. This action caused the small fox to mellow down a bit where Naruto decided to sit down next to a tree with the kit so he can try and be friendly with the young one.

As he walked back to the group, his thoughts turned to what was happening lately in the past couple of days, mostly on what was happening between him and Rias.

Rias was struggling with trying to use her magic to get rid of this slime creature but couldn't. Hearing what Issei said, she told him that he needs to think on getting a much better familiar than this slime.

"Alright little guy, help the girls get rid of the slime." Naruto said where the fox yelp in agreement.

The Familiar master walked up to see the little fox where he looked amazed. "Sugoi! You actually found a Kudakitsune. This little guy is pretty rare considering it isn't as high in status as other familiars. If I had to class it from rank, I give a B-Rank Familiar since this little one has a few good abilities." He said

"Really?" Naruto replied

The Familiar Master nodded, "Yep. For one, once this little guys grow up, which would only be a height of 2 ft., more or less depending. it has incredible fire ability. Next is that it is very intelligent where training it would be very useful once it learns. Another is that it can change into two forms, a snake-like form where it can slither into tight corners and such while its second form is just the basic kitsune one. The final thing is that it can use its flames to create illusions. They may not be very strong physically but they are indeed very quick on their feet." He explained

Naruto smiled since he found a pretty interesting little creature. Koneko then asked the blonde if he named the kitsune yet while Asia giggled as she tickled the small kit's ears.

Naruto thought about it for a moment, "Hmm~ I think I'll name him Kurama…"

"Now that's a nice name. Hello there Kurama." Chirped Rias with a smile as she looked at the little kitsune.

They're conversation stopped when they heard a bit of whimpering coming from Issei as he looked where the slime creature was slain. Guessing that he was upset on not trying to make the goo creature as his familiar, Naruto decided to try and be nice to him. But before he could, Issei was shot in the forehead by a lightning strike which caused him to cry out a bit before going unconscious.

They all looked up to see a small purple dragon flying around them before it gently dove down and landed on Asia's shoulders. Naruto and Kiba laughed nervously at how the dragon was sizing them up. They then heard the Familiar Master say that male dragons don't like the males of other species, hence why Issei got struck with lightning since he was closer to Asia then everyone else.
