Disclaimer: I don't own Fairy Tail!
I have returned from my slumber! Wow, I can't believe I put this off for so long. Ugh, so the laptop I use is now gone so I'll have to update using my phone or kindle, which sucks when you type. So, sorry if my updates are slow even though it won't make much of a difference at the rate I'm going.
Read and review please!
Enjoy!
GUILD HALL
Lucy watched Happy, a flying blue-haired cat she enjoyed being friends with, quickly fly out of the guild in search of the one person who would protect her. The person who she couldn't even remember if she had met or not. The pink haired idiot who had stormed out of there and who she had vowed to remember. What was so important about him? Everyone in the guild seemed to know him? Why didn't she? A flash of vibrant pink flashed through her mind.
"Well, you wanted to join our guild, right?" A male's voice faintly said in Lucy mind. "Come with me." A bright, toothy smile appeared in her mind.
"Who? Who is this?" Lucy muttered.
"Are you okay, Lucy?" Gray asked, looking at her in concern.
Will's head snapped toward them in confusion. Is she remembering already? No...she can't be. It's too soon.
"Thanks, Lucy!" The male voice said in her mind while she was shown a thumbs up. "How much go you gotta hurt others before you people are satisfied?" Fire melted the hand away and created a scene of a male, his face shadowed, red eyes, and his scarf blowing in the wind.
Lucy dropped to her knees, holding her forehead in pain. "Lucy!" Mira shouted, running forward. Wendy came forward too, pushing past the others, some who stared at Lucy and some who kept an eye on their 'guests'. "What's wrong with her?" Gray asked, panicked.
"I don't know! I need a clear look, but we have to get them to leave first." Wendy said, glaring at Will and the others. They raised an eyebrow at that. Did the little blunette expect them to leave just because she said so?
"You heard the girl. Leave." Gajeel demanded, settling a steel hard glare on the intruders. The intruders shivered a bit, feeling a killer aura coming from the iron dragon slayer, but ignored him, willing to start a fight here rather than go back empty handed and die.
Lucy remembered what Gray had told her a few minutes ago. "Lucy. You knew him. He brought you to the guild. He's your partner. He made a team with you. Erza and I joined yours and Natsu's team. You're his mate. You're his best friend. You're his weakness and his strength. You're his everything." Was she hearing the pink-haired guys voice? Was he the one running through her mind right now? Was she starting to remember the memories she supposedly forgot?
The guild's door banged open and the person who slammed it open came in sheepishly. "Sorry I'm late. I slept in..." Rose trailed off as she took in the scene. Lucy was kneeling on the floor with her hands covering her ears. Gray was taking glances at Lucy, then the intruders, and then back at Lucy. Everyone was ready for battle. Rose turned to the intruders.
She recognized the first one as Will. He was smirking as he started at Lucy. The next one was the girl. She didn't know who it was. The girl had long, blonde hair that ran down her back. She turned to the last member and gasped.
"What's wrong Rose?" Ezra asked fiercely.
Rose didn't answer. She just continued starring at the final member. She knew him. "K-Kazuki." Rose whispered in amazement.
"Long time no see, Rose." Kazuki replied.
WITH NATSU
"Nastu! NATSU!" Happy shouted as soon as he saw the pink haired mage.
Nasty turned and Happy was shocked by his appearance. His eyes looked dead.
"Happy." Nasty stated, seeing the flying cat.
"Natsu! Come to the guild quickly!" Happy said.
"I don't want to." Natsu said stubbornly.
"No! Natsu! You don't understa-"
"No! You don't understand! You don't know how it feels to be forgotten! It being Lucy makes it worse." Natsu started in a yell but his voice went down to a whisper at the end.
"Natsu." Happy said sadly. "I know I won't understand that. Something else is happening. Something bad at the guild."
Natsu jumped up in panic. "What's happening?" Natsu asked. Happy grabbed onto the back of his shirt and lifted him up.
"Will came back! He's trying to take Lucy" Happy explained to Natsu. Natsu's eyes narrowed in anger. "He what?" Natsu growled out.
"He came to the guild with two others. They are trying to take Lucy away." Happy couldn't leave anything out. Natsu needed to know what was happening.
"Happy! Take me to the guild, fast." Natsu ordered.
"Aye sir!" Happy shouted as he flew at max speed.
GUILD HALL
"Kazuki? You know him, Rose?" Erza asked, turning to stare at Rose. Rose stood there in shock, not answering her question. A screech brought her out of her own mind. Lucy was shaking in pain, scratching at her ears. "No more Natsu... If I... If I just let them take me, then this will all be..." Lucy heard herself cry the statement. "Lucy... Natsu hasn't given up yet." Happy told her in her mind. The memories flying through her mind were too much, and Lucy slumped forward, fainting on the spot.
"Lucy!" Wendy shouted, worried for her friend. "They need to leave. Now." Wendy said forcefully, stressing the situation.
Rose took a step toward Kazuki. "Why... Why are you doing this?" She asked, as if in pain at what was happening.
"Because I need to. I need this to live. Things went bad, Rose. I'm going to fix it." Kazuki replied, raising an arm. A dark-blue orb of light appeared in his hand, letting the Fairy Tail mages know who it was that blew up their guild.
"Everybody get down!" Rose shouted, knowing this magic was very destructive. Everyone followed Rose's order and dropped to the floor, hands covering their heads.
Kazuki smirked and walked forward. "You guys aren't strong enough to stop me. No one is." He said surely. "No one can stop me. I will get Lucy Heartfilia and I will bring her with me." He was now just a few feet from the fallen blonde Mage.
"Lucy!" A voice shouted from the unnoticed open door. A figure with pink hair stood there with smoke leaking out of his body.
"Get away from her." Natsu growled at the man getting close to Lucy. He didn't know what was really happening since Happy left before it really started, but an unknown man was reaching for his mate. His mate. Natsu remembered back when he first learned about mates. Igneel had told him that dragons were very possessive of their mates and will kill anyone who tries to harm them. If the person is trying to take them away, the effect on the dragon would be much more violent and the person will be killed by the dragon.
Natsu felt scales start to appear on his face. He knew he was going into his angry state that he and everyone else called Dragon Slayer Mode, and he wasn't going to fight it. Why should he when his mate is in danger? He would need his full power to kill the person trying to take her.
The man turned toward Natsu, with a smirk. "So you came back. How does it feel to have the love of your life forget about you?" He asked. He then turned to look at Rose, who from Natsu's point of view seemed to be in pain. "I wouldn't know since it's obvious she didn't forget about me." He said.
"Rose. Is he your mate?" Natsu asked, knowing the answer would be a yes. He felt sick to his to his stomach that this was happening. Rose nodded sadly, falling to her knees.
Natsu was stuck. He didn't want to hurt her mate, but her mate was threatening his.
"My name is Kazuki." The man told Natsu, pretending to be polite. Kazuki grabbed onto the pink-haired Dragon Slayer's mate and smirked. "And I will be taking her." He said, before creating another blue light orb in his hand. He sent the orb toward Natsu, before making a break for it. The orb exploded right in front of Natsu's face, propelling him into the guild wall. Kazuki laughed happily as he made it outside with Lucy. The girl and Will followed him.
"Lucy!" Natsu shouted, jumping up after hitting the wall and chasing after the group. He couldn't let them take Lucy. He couldn't lose he. He couldn't allow her to get hurt again.
Natsu used his fire to propel him forward faster, his eyes crazily searching through the crowded streets. He didn't know which way Kazuki brought Lucy, so he used his nose. He shouted "Get out of the way!" At people who didn't notice him behind them and we're going to get plowed over if they didn't move. He was following Lucy's scent, the one he preferred out of the four who came this way together.
The scent continued into the forest, going a few feet in. Then, in the middle of a small clearing, it disappeared. Her, Lucy's, scent disappeared into thin air. Natsu roared angrily. He dropped to his knees and punched the ground repeatedly, pretending it was Lazuki's face. What now? His mate was taken from him. What should he do?
Natsu paused, head looking down and body shaking in grief and anger. He knew what he had to do. He has to kill Kazuki. He shouldn't have hesitated in the guild just because he was Rose's mate. He should've killed him then.
Natsu slowly got up. He was going back to the guild. They were going to help him find Lucy.
What Natsu didn't notice, because he was focused on Lucyms scent, was that another scent mingled with the other four in the clearing
SECRET LOCATION
A man was here watching what was happening at the Fairy Tail guild. Kazuki was just successful in taking the Heartfilia girl and he was running toward the forest, which was where their meeting point was. He figured he should start heading to the point, knowing that the pink haired idiot will be close behind them and they'll need a quick escape.
The man got up, sighing heavily. He didn't want to move. His power was sometime useful, but it took a lot of energy to preform. This wasn't even the only magic he could preform.
The man smirked, thinking of the days to come, when he would use this other power. He would use it against the Celestial Mage. There was no question about that. He laughed as he teleported to the meeting point.
The meeting point was a small clear in gin the forest next to Magnolia. The trees were spread out enough to have a small party of ten camp out there. The man figured this was the best place to meet because it was isolated. It seemed as though no one would come here when they were there, and no one would be there any time soon.
"Kazuki." The man said simply, seeing the other with a blonde girl in his arms.
"We need to go." Kazuki said quickly, glancing behind him. He could see light coming from behind him, and he guessed that it was Natsu.
"I agree, but are you scared of Natsu?" The man asked curiously, as Will and the girl arrived.
"No, I'm scared of the Draong Slayer when he receives his dragon qualities." Kazuki answered.
The man stared at Kazuki in curiosity. Why was he scared of Natsu?
Well, he'll never find out anyway.
