24 : ALL I WANT

The jet lands on the Triskelion helipad, her mission complete.

She races off and into the building. Running through the halls, she finds the medical bay. She scanned every single room until finding Steve's. she burst in, threw off her jacket and kicked off her shoes before climbing back into bed with the sleeping soldier.

"Welcome back." he whispered, not opening his eyes. "I missed you."

"I missed you too." she whispered back. She curled up in his embrace and they drifted into a deep sleep.

"Dr. Banner, this is really unnecessary. I'm fine" Steve insisted. "I don't need to meet the psychologist."

"Please, captain. I insist" Bruce ask politely.

"I have been through worse before. I've not yet lost my mind"

"Captain, that's regarding how strong you are, but there's still a chance that your body cannot withstand it anymore. Both physically and mentally, so please attend this session."

Everyone in this team was listening to the doctor and the soldier trying to come to an agreement until Tony interrupted.

"Yeah, Steve. I have been through a lot of trouble to get you the best psychologist ever!"

"Because of you, Tony, I really don't want to meet them"

"Tell him, Romanoff. That he can trust this guy"

"Yes, Steve, you can trust him"

The captain sighed. Natasha wanted him to do it, so he knew it must be for the best. He got up and went with Bruce to the room arranged for the meeting

Steve gasped the moment he saw the man sitting in the room. It was a man, but seemed so mechanical.

"Do not fear, Captain. I mean you no harm."

The android could tell what feelings Steve had. This was going to be a very tricky process.

"Captain Rogers, this is the Vision. I asked him to provide some assistance" Bruce introduced.

Vision got up from his seat and walked over to Steve, who was frozen in place before he reached his hand forward.

"Nice to finally meet you, Captain Rogers"

"Nice to meet you too, uh..."

"Please do not view me as just an android. Sir would be a suitable address."

"I'm sorry. "

"Don't be. You're not used to the likes of me yet. Dr. Banner, would you and your party be so kind to give us privacy?"

Bruce nodded. He led Tony and Natasha out, with Steve's gaze lingering on Natasha. She looked back and gave him a soft smile before leaving the room.

"Your demeanour suggests you care deeply for Miss Romanoff. May I ask how long you have been together?"

Steve was shocked he knew about their relationship. "It's not been long."

"You wish this remains a secret. I shall honour that."

"Thank you. Sir."

Steve took a seat in a chair as Vision started the session. The more they talked, the more Vision knew that Captain America was perfectly fine, both mentally and physically.

Vision could tell Steve was still a bit unsure of what they were doing. He figured it was do to this being the first they had ever met.

"You still seem weary. If it accommodates your familiarity to humans, you may call me a human name."

"Are you sure?"

"I am positive."

"Ok. I'll call you Phillips. After my old army colonel."

"Alright. I am Phillips."

They continued and the progress was much swifter than anticipated.

After 20 minutes, they exited the room, Bruce, Natasha and Tony waiting.

"Captain Rogers is mentally and physically well. Well done, Steven."

"Thank you. Phillips."

Vision nodded and left. Natasha approached Steve and stopped in front of him. Her hands grappled together.

"So, Captain. Does that mean you'll be coming back to the Avengers?"

Steve nodded. "It does."

Bruce and Tony smiled as they left. Natasha waited until they disappeared to hug and kiss Steve.

"I'm glad." and cuddled into his arms.

The group was preparing for Christmas. Everyone was very eager to spend their first Christmas together, and it was made all the more special as it was little Anthony's first Christmas.

Steve and Natasha were on godparent duty while Tony and Pepper went to go get a giant white spruce that was almost able to reach the ceiling of the living room as it was so tall.

"Do we really need this big a Christmas tree?" Steve asked

"Yes! This Christmas is very important to our family. It's the first of many to come" Tony replied.

Steve shook his head before looking at his two month old godson. "Your dad is very weird" He whispered to little Anthony who use his big green eyes staring at the tree.

"You cannot turn my son against me, Spangles."

"Tony! Come here and help me!" Pepper shouted from the elevator.

Steve sat down on the couch and played with Anthony who just kept smiling at him as Tony rushed to his wife. Thor and Darcy were arguing over how much tinsel to line and Jane and Dr. Selvig were helping Natasha, Bobbi and Clint hang decorations around the living room.

Steve walked over to his girlfriend who was standing on the ladder, trying to put the ornament above the fire place.

"Need help with that, ma'am?" He asked

"I suppose it is my turn with this little angel" She said as Steve helped her off the ladder before taking Anthony from Steve.

"I'm willing to share you with this little guy" Steve joked which earned a laugh from the spy. "He's cute, isn't he?"

"Yeah, I really can't wait for the next baby Avenger" Natasha said, looking at her godson lovingly.

"Clint and Bobbi might be the next"

"And surely, they will pick us as godparents"

Steve chuckled before he climbed up the ladder and put on the decorations. Natasha played with her godson and earned a smile from the baby. Her laughter was filled with pure joy that make everyone in the room turn and listen to her beautiful voice.

Steve was looking at her too. He still couldn't believe that she was his girlfriend, to have her with him, to hold her in his arms, to have the most amazing woman in the entire world as his girlfriend.

Yeah, he was very lucky.

But Steve knew, from now on, the world will try to build a wall between them, to keep them apart. But he knew he would knock every wall down just to be with her.

They will not win. They will not succeed. The world could not tear them apart.

He would do anything for her.

"Thor! Calm the hell down, you aren't a child." Tony scolded at the god. This is the first time Thor was celebrating the holiday, and he was uncontrollably excited. He even wore a red sweater with a reindeer on it.

"I simply cannot do that, Lord Stark" Thor replied "This Christmas pop tart is more delicious than the ordinary ones!" he exclaimed, munching into it.

"I will buy you a supply of this seasonal pop tart for a year if you settle down." Tony offered.

"Thank you, my friend"

Steve and Natasha just watched the conversation between the billionaire and the god with amusement.

"The snow season of Midgard is most enjoyable! We, as Asgardians, do not like snow, considering it is the weather of the Jotuns" The god keep talking with a mouth full of pop tart "But this! This far much better than my realm!"

"I see Thor is still enjoying Christmas" A teasing voice came from above.

Clint and Bobbi emerged from the kitchen and sat down with Steve and Natasha.

Today was Christmas. Even Anthony was super excited.

Pepper dressed her baby boy up in a reindeer costume. Natasha and the girls swooned when they saw him.

After Thor finished with his breakfast, the god stuck close to the Christmas tree waiting for the time to open the presents just like a little child. Natasha and Steve were virtually inseparable. Natasha never left his side for a second and it was more than enough for Tony to start to tease them.

"Red, you don't need to be his shadow twenty four seven"

"Yes I do. I won't let my partner out of my sight ever again" She said and wrapped her arms around his waist protectively "I almost lost him and I won't allow it to happen again"

Tony faked cry before teasing the spy further. "Just kiss him already"

"Stop it, Stark" Steve warned with a glare. "This time I will throw you out of the window myself"

Tony ran away from the spy and the soldier and stuck close to Pepper all day. Dinner was very fun as it was the first Christmas dinner they spend together as a huge family. The happy family that they were all grateful to be a part of it.

After dinner, Natasha and Steve snuck out to the glass encased roof for some private time. The chill of the night didn't directly make them cold, but it prompted Steve to build a fire.

Steve also brought some blankets and wrapped Natasha in one. She sat down on her boyfriend's lap before Steve wrapped another blanket around them.

"Winter is not that bad after all" Natasha spoke up "At least I have you with me"

"Cold doesn't affect me as much as it used to" Steve agreed

"I guess we need each other more than we know"

The soldier smiled fondly at his girlfriend.

Steve watched as snowflakes fell outside. He forgot how amazing winter was in his anxiety of it.

He didn't know the future but he knew that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with this amazing woman.

"Anything you want from Santa?" Steve murmured from her shoulder

"He already gave me what I wanted" Natasha answered.

The soldiers smiled and kissed her neck. "Me too"

Natasha cupped his face before giving him a loving kiss but Steve turned it into a passionate one, like he wanted to tell her how important she is to him, more than anything in this world.

"I need to ask you one thing, why did you choose me over Taylor?"

"I was lying to myself, Steve. I denied my feelings for you." She explained "I didn't choose a better guy but I chose someone that made me feel like a better woman. You make me believe that I'm not a bad person-"

"You are not a bad person, Natasha"

"AND more important of them all, I can be who I am when I am with you" She said "I know I hurt you and I'm truly sorry but I realized how much I love you-"

"It's doesn't matter now, Nat" He interjected. "You don't have to explain. What matters is that I love you very much"

"I love you very much as well, Steve"

"Glad to hear that"

They sat in silence for a while and enjoyed the moment in each other arms.

"What do you want our relationship to be like?" Steve asked "I mean, are we going to tell them or just keep it to ourselves?"

"I want it to be a secret" Natasha replied. "But it's not going to work because Stark and Barton will stick their noses in our private life"

"I agree with you"

"If we want to sneak around, we gotta have a good plan, Rogers"

"Well, I will let the master spy handle that"

A mischievous smile appeared on her lips. She must already have a plan in mind.

"What are you thinking, Romanoff?"

"You'll see. Like I said, it's gonna be fun"
