Rain poured down in sheets as lightning flashed and thunder roared. Star laid in front of the slowly dying fire as Marco sat on the cyclops's arm and glared at the sleeping princess. Reaching his pocket, he dug out a small dagger and twirled it around his fingers, "What to do, what to do," hearing Star moan, he looked up and saw Star yawned before lying back down on the dirt floor.

He sighed and shook his head before putting the dagger back in his pocket, "No…I'm better than that. I'm not going to kill anyone," jumping off the arm, Marco walked over to the wall of the cave before sitting down and closed his eyes, falling into an uneasy sleep.

Star moaned as she slowly woke up with rays from the sun peering into the cave. She sat up and rubbed her head, "How the hell do you do it Marco?" she looked around and saw the cave was empty, "Marco?" taking a deep breath, she stood up and dusted herself off.

Hearing someone enter the cave, she looked back in a panic to see Marco walking into the cave, "And where were you?"

"Going for a morning run," Star glared at him and Marco took a deep breath, "Anyway, I'll walk you to the forest fence. From there you can get to the castle and-"

"I'm not going anywhere until you answer me a few questions and-"

"I answered them last night. I don't trust the Butterfly family after your mother had my parents killed, sent me to an orphanage and I've been living in this cave for two years. I eat monsters to survive, what more do you need to know?" Star narrowed her eyes and Marco shook his head, "So…like I said, I'll walk you up to the forest fence and then you're on your own."

"And I said I'm not going anywhere," Marco looked at her and Star crossed her arms, "Even if I do go back, my parents are going to send me to Saint Olga's Reform School for Wayward Princesses for destroying half of Mewni yesterday and for running away like this. So rather you like it or not, you got a forest buddy,"

"You're a stubborn one," Star smiled and shrugged her shoulders, "And what makes you think I want someone here with me? I've been doing just fine on my won for two years and I don't need a companion,"

"So you don't get lonely? You don't think about having someone traveling with you?" Marco crossed his arms and looked away, "How about a little deal. I show you that having a friend with you is better than being alone, I get to stay with you, but if I irritate you, even once, I'll go back to the castle and let my parents send me to Saint Olga's. Deal?"

"You know you're setting yourself up for failure. I like my solitude," Star glared at Marco and he sighed and shook his head, "But something tells me you're not going to take that as a go away." Star shook her head and Marco turned around, "Well let's go. The wolves are about to run to the stream. If we're lucky, we can trap one,"

"Right," the two walked out of the cave and ran through the forest.

Moon and River paced the main foyer of the castle, worried expressions crossing their faces, "River, no one's seen her since she ran away and she's been seen running towards the Forest of Certain Death,"

"I know Moon pie,"

Hearing the door open, they looked back to see a guard stepping into the foyer, "Odion, have you found her?"

"No your majesty," Odion answered and shook his head and the two frowned, "We've combed the outer forest and we couldn't find a trace of her. We fear she's gone into the denser parts and…well, you know the stories behind that,"

The king and queen frowned before Moon took a deep breath and looked at Odion, "Odion, I want you to take a team of six to the forest and look for her. You are not to return until you find her. Do you understand me?"

"Yes, Queen Moon," Odion turned and walked out of the castle.

River looked at his wife and arched a brow, "What are you planning, Moon? You know how dense that forest is, and finding one person will be nearly impossible,"

"They're going to find her, River, and we're going to send her to Saint Olga's," Moon looked out the window and narrowed her eyes.

Star and Marco walked through the forest, Marco dragging a wolf behind him. Star looked at Marco and arched a brow, "So…this is what you do all day? Hunt?"

"Hunt, run to Mewni and steal some food, pull some pranks, cause trouble…kill monsters for sport…that's about it," Star slowly nodded, "So do you still want to stay here and-"

"It still beats Saint Olga's," Marco shrugged his shoulders as he continued to drag the dead animal behind him.

Hearing a twig snap behind them, Star looked back and her blue eyes widened when she spotted several guards roaming the forest, "No…Marco, drop the wolf and let's run," Marco looked at her with narrowed eyes and Star pointed behind them.

Marco looked back and saw the guards looked around, "They're from the Butterfly castle and if they see me, they're going to take me back to the castle and my parents are going to have me sent to Saint Olga's," Marco dropped the wolf, grabbed Star by the arm and led her away from the guards.

Okay, nothing much here, but the parents are slightly worried. Please enjoy everyone and please let me know what everyone thinks.
