The two teenagers entered the cave and Marco looked back, "What are you doing?" Marco ignored her and continued to scan the forest behind them, "What are you looking for? I don't think they saw us, so they wouldn't chase after us,"
"Hmm…if you say so, but I'm going back out there and collecting my trophy…you wait here,"
"Like I was going to leave with guards from the castle roaming the forest," Star crossed her arms and Marco smirked as he raced out of the cave. She took a deep breath and shook her head, "Just be careful out there, you idiot. My parents have a price on your head and the guards aren't going to let you leave with your life."
Marco ran through the forest before spotting the guards. Reaching in his pocket, he pulled out the dagger and smirked, "Just keep walking around you morons, you're right where I want you," he watched as the guards continued to walk before to fell in a well-placed hole and Marco ran towards the hole.
Looking into the hole, he saw the guards trying to climb up the dirt walls, "That won't work," they looked up and Marco smirked and shook his head, "The walls are smoothed out, nothing to grab, no traction…enjoy your final resting place,"
He turned and began walking away when one of the guards snapped, "Get us out of here!" he stopped and looked back, a smirk crossing his lips, "You're under arrest for terrorizing the citizens of Mewni, stealing from the castle and-"
"And how do you plan on arresting me? You jokers are thirty feet under ground with no way out," he laughed and began walking away, "Consider this pay back for killing my parents all those years ago,"
"It was under the orders of the Queen,"
"Oh, do I hear the sound of mutiny? Are the brave guards afraid to die that they'll turn on the ruler like that?" he looked back and crossed his arms, "I don't care where the order came from, I don't care that I'm a criminal to the kingdom, and I don't care if none of you wanted to participate on that cold day. I'm going to take down the guards and the servants before going after Queen Moon and King River."
"We'll pretend we didn't hear that, we'll pretend we didn't see you and we'll pretend we have no idea about your parents if you help us out of this hole so we can continue our search for Princess Star."
A small smile crept across his lips and Marco shook his head as he snickered, "So you're telling me that Princess Star is in my territory? Unguarded? Excellent, what better way to get revenge than killing the princess?"
"Jirus!" Odion snapped before looking back up at the teen boy, "Look kid, Queen Moon will have our heads if we go back emptyhanded and-"
"But you're not going back emptyhanded, in fact, you're not going back at all," Marco chuckled and shook his head, "Like I said, the walls are smoothed, there is not traction, you're going to die down there," the guards unsheathed their swords and Marco snickered, "I wouldn't do that if I were you. You see, the walls might be smoothed out, but they aren't exactly sturdy. One wrong move and you morons are buried alive,"
Kneeling down, Marco narrowed his eyes, "And even if you do, by some miracle, get out from there, these woods are tainted with traps, each worse than the last." He stood up and turned and began walking away, "So once again, enjoy your final resting place." He ran away from the trap as the guards yelled after him.
Star sat on a rock in the cover and stared out into the forest. Hearing someone grunting, she saw Marco walking into the cave, dragging the dead wolf behind him, "What took you so long? Did you run into the guards?"
"What? No…no one can catch me, those jokers spotted me, but they couldn't keep up," Star narrowed her eyes and Marco threw the wolf against the wall of the cave, "Try as they may, they will never catch me."
"Aren't we arrogant? What's stopping me from leading you to the castle?"
"You going to that Reform School," Marco smirked and Star slightly frowned, "You're my traveling companion, and that means we're going to have to trust each other, rather you want to or not."
"Heh, you are aware that I have a magical wand and I could-"
"Do whatever you want, I know, but I've been living in these woods for the past two years. I know every cave, every tree and every rock. I think I'll have the upper hand if you decide to break our pack." Star narrowed her eyes and Marco chuckled, "So…are you going to threaten me again? Because I will gladly drag you back to the castle," Star pouted and Marco smirked, "So…no more threats?"
"No more threats," Star took a deep breath and shook her head,
