Enjoy the next chapter.
Moon crossed her arms and narrowed her eyes as she tapped her foot impatiently as she stared out the window towards the forest, "Where are they? They should've been back with her hours ago," seeing movement coming from the woods, she glared down and spotted someone run out of the forest and towards the castle, "Who is that?" she saw the person ran towards the cornfield and began pulling ears of corn from stalks and stuffed them in a sack, "Intruder!" the person looked up and smirked at the queen before turning around and ran back towards the Forest of Certain Death.
Moon let out a sigh of disgust before she turned and walked away from the window, "Your majesty?"
"Zabodo, I'm going to take care of some royal business, I want you to hold down the fort while I'm away,"
"Right, but where-"
"Don't question me, Zabodo. I need you to make sure my husband doesn't cause a ruckus and to keep peace in the kingdom," Zabodo sighed and nodded before Moon walked past him and out of the room.
Moon walked through the Forest of Certain Death, following a set of footprints in the dirt, "Hmm…these are far too light to be made by the guards." She laughed and shook her head, "So my young friend, you're not so clever, are you? You stole from the Butterfly castle and you're leaving a trail for me to follow,"
She followed the footprints to a tree where the prints stopped and she looked around, "Where…where did he go?" she looked up and narrowed her eyes, "No, this tree is too high for one person to climb…he would've fallen and died on impacting the ground." She took a deep breath and shook her head before she began looking around.
Marco jumped from treetop to treetop, ears of corn in a sack slung over his shoulder. The young teen jumped down from the treetops and looked back and panted, "Heh, you saw me and you lost me. Good luck Queen Moon, you're going to need it," he looked up and spotted the cave he's been living in for the past few years and slightly frowned, "Okay, now I need to get this corn to the princess so she'll actually eat…stubborn girl," he took a deep breath and ran towards the cave.
Star paced the cave before looking up at the entrance and saw Marco walking in the cave, "And where were you?" Marco threw the sack towards the ground and Star saw several ears of corn, "You…you stole this?"
"From the castle," Star's eyes widened, "You're being stubborn and you're refusing to eat monsters, so I decided to run to the kingdom and get us some corn,"
"Did anyone see you?"
"Your mom, and I don't know, but she may have sent someone after me," Star stared at him and Marco laughed, "Don't worry, living in these woods, you learn how to use the environment around you to your advantage. I used the trees to move through the forest,"
"Marco,"
"Look Star, it's fine, no one is going to find us, these woods are my home, like I said, I know everyone cave, tree and rock,"
"I hope you're right…some of the guards are persistent and won't stop until they either find me and bring me back or find and kill you,"
"And here's to hoping," Marco looked out to the forest with narrowed eyes, "I could use a good challenge," Star looked at the lone teen and frowned as she shook her head.
Just a small update. From here on out, things are going to go down. Please enjoy everyone and please let me know what everyone thinks.
