Star and Marco walked down to the main foyer where they saw Star's parents. Star frowned as she looked back at Marco, who smirked and crossed his arm, "Boy," River said in a stern tone, "You have stolen from the citizens of Mewni-"
"To survive,"
"-you have stolen from the Butterfly Kingdom-"
"Again, to survive,"
"-and you have held our daughter captive for-"
"And here's where I stop you, old man," Marco ran past Star and towards her parents. Grabbing the king by his shirt, he lifted him up and smirked, "I didn't tell anyone to intrude in my home, hell I told her to return to the castle and to leave me be, but she didn't listen,"
Star frowned as Marco narrowed her eyes, "I wanted to live my life out in the forest when you daughter came along and got ready to fight a cyclops when I killed the damn thing! And why shouldn't I steal from you bastards! You killed my parents!"
Star's eyes widened and Moon shook her head, "Don't be ridiculous, boy. The Butterfly family has never-"
"Keep telling yourself that, Queenie, but you know as well as I that you did kill my parents," he dropped River to the floor and turned with a hardened look crossing his face, "I'm going back to the forest. At least there I don't have to worry about being persecuted,"
He began walking towards the door when Star took him by the hand. Marco looked at her and Star narrowed her eyes, "You're going to stay," Marco narrowed his eyes and Star hissed, "You're not going back out there and spread lie about-"
"You can believe what you want to, princess, but I know for a fact that they did kill my parents," he snatched his hand away and shook his head, "You can believe them, you can believe me, you don't have to believe either of us, this doesn't concern you in the slightest. So let them be our parting words,"
Star frowned and he began walking towards the door again, "Where were the guards?" he stopped and glared back at Moon with narrowed eyes, "We've sent a team of seven to retrieve Star, and yet I have yet to see them. What have you done to them?"
Marco chuckled and shook his head as Star looked at him in confusion, "Yeah, they're buried with work. Have fun getting them out of trouble,"
He turned and began walking towards again when he felt something press on the back of his neck. He looked back once again and saw Star pressing her wand against the back of his neck and he narrowed his eyes, "Marco, you're going to stay in the castle, rather you like it or not." Star warned as the wand began to glow a bright green, "Now, are you going to argue with me or are you going to listen?"
Marco sighed and shook his head, "Look princess, I spent the past two years in the forest, and-"
"You're outmatched here, Marco. You don't know anything about the castle, and I do. I know every room, every corridor, everything." Marco smirked and shook his head as Star leaned closer and quietly hissed, "And I'd like to speak with you in private," Marco shrugged his shoulders, "Is that a I give up, or a I'm not going to listen to you?"
"It's a you Butterfly's are all the same," Star frowned and Marco chuckled, "Come off it, princess. Your mother had my parents killed and now you basically threatening to end me if I don't give you what you want. Did it ever occur to you that I didn't want to come back here? That I wanted to stay in the forest?"
Star frowned and stepped back from Marco, "I'm going to go back to the forest and-"
"Stay here," Star whispered and Marco looked at her, "I'd like to know why you keep saying my parents killed your parents, and I'm going to show you that the Butterfly family isn't as…corrupt as you think."
Marco sighed and shook his head, "I'll stay for a bit…I'm sure staying here beats the hell out of sleeping in that damn cave…but you're going to have to do a lot of persuasion to prove your family isn't corrupt." Star nodded before looking back at her parents with slightly narrowed eyes.
