Misty's POV
"It's Christmas Eve!" Ash exclaimed, as he saw us at the mall, for some last minute shopping for Secret Santa.
-Flashback-
"It's Christmas Eve, tomorrow!" May shouted, excitedly.
"Calm down." Ivy spoke, throwing a small water ball at May.
"Hey!" May screamed as her ruby red blouse got wet.
"Sorry, but you needed to cool down." Ivy stated.
"Now, I have to change, before the guys come." May replied before rushing to her room to change. The guys were coming over, so we can choose our Secret Santa, everyone except Kristy was in, because Kristy told us that she needed to go for a family emergency. She would be gone for a long time.
"Hurry!" Cindy shouted.
"I'll try." May replied.
"Who do you think you'll get or hope to get?" Cindy asked the rest of us. All of us shrugged, except Dawn.
"I'm hoping to get one of us, but I doubt it, it's usually one of the guy." Dawn replied.
"I don't care, as long as it's somebody I know well." Ivy answered.
"But you know, most of the guys and all of us." I pointed out.
"Exactly and I bet Cindy is hoping to her boyfriend." She stated. Cindy blushed and nodded. Minutes later, May came down with the same outfit except her blouse was a lighter shade of red. The doorbell rang as soon as May came down.
"I got it!" She shouted as she rushed to the door. The rest of us followed. We all greeted each other as normal as it usually get.
"You look beautiful, baby." Jason cooed at Cindy, as they kissed under the mistletoe above them.
"Hey, Mist!" Ash shouted. I waved.
"Babe, how come you aren't like that when I come over." Gary whined as he put a pout on his face.
"I'm still mad at you!" Leaf spoke as she roll her eyes.
"When are you going to forgive me?" Gary pleaded.
"When I feel like it." Leaf replied.
"Come on, lovebirds, stop making out and arguing. We need to start Secret Santa." Ivy playfully joked. Jason and Cindy pulled apart. Jason smirking and Cindy, rolling her eyes.
"Let's get started." Percy suggested as we all gathered in the living room. Ivy begun walking around and passing out the bag of names. One by one, we picked a name, until it was my turn. I reached in the bag and pull a strip of paper out. On the paper was the name Paul.
-End of Flashback-
"Ouch!" I shouted as May walked into me.
"Oops, sorry Mist, I didn't know you stop walking." May apologized as Ash ran over to help with the guys behind him.
"Need some help?" Ash say as he extended his arm and May does the same. I, stupidity, grab May's hand and pull myself up. I glanced over at Ash, who looks hurt.
"What did you do this time, April?" Drew asked as the group of boys caught up.
"My name is May! And-" May shouted as I cut her off as I lay my hand on her shoulder.
"She didn't do anything, it was my fault!" I spoke up.
"Whatever." Drew replied, flipping his hair.
"Hey, where's Kyle?" Angel asked as she look around the group of boys.
"He was just with us..." Gary replied. "He probably at some store straightening their stuff. Why do you care?"
"That's her brother." Leaf snapped. "Can't a sister be worry about her brother? I know I would be if I had one."
"Are you still mad at me Leafy?" Gary asked.
"What do you think?" Leaf said in annoyance. Gary glanced over at Percy and Drew and pleaded them for help with his eyes.
"Hey... Umm... How come you girls never celebrate your birthdays, since we met you?" Percy asked. "I know some of your birthdays already past and I never seen you girls throw a party."
"How exactly do you know our birthday mister?!" I demanded.
"Well I don't but Ivy and Cedric are supposed to have the same birthday, since they're twins and all." He replied.
"Nope, the three never told you? Ivy was adopted on the same day as Cedric's birth, she's about a year older than him." Angel spoke.
"Wait what? Ivy was adopted?" I asked. Everyone, except Cindy, Cedric, Ivy, and Angel, were shock, even Paul was as surprise. The four just nodded.
"You learn something new everyday." Percy finally spoke again. "But you never answer the question, why you don't celebrate your birthday."
"We do celebrate them, but we don't throw big parties." Cindy answered as Autumn's phone vibrated.
"Oh my god!" Autumn screamed. "No, that can't happen!"
"Autumn, what happen?" Jenny asked calmly.
"Kyle... He's dead!" Autumn answered.
"What?!" Everyone and I shouted. Autumn nodded her head.
"How do you know..." Ivy asked.
"Check your phone." Autumn spoke softly. Everyone phone all sudden went off at the same time. I look at the text and there was a picture of Kyle all cut up with blood everywhere. There was a text underneath it:
Watch out! I'll get you all one by one! He was too easy! The next one is going to be the next easiest.
"That can't be..." Ash trailed off. "My brother is dead..."
"I can't believe it." Angel softly whispered.
"You guys I don't want to worry you guys or something... But I think I figure out who did this." Percy spoke. "It was Kristy..."
"I knew I couldn't trust her!" Ivy shouted. I guess she was right. The next time I see that girl she's going down. Another text came:
You wish you could, Misty! Ivy, aren't you a smart little girl, I'm so glad I finally saw your Milotic in action. Percy, I don't care if I can't read your mind, I'll always be two steps ahead of you. I'll always be ahead of all of you, text you later when it's the worst day of the year.
"It's Christmas Eve, I'm not gonna let her ruin that for me." Dawn spoke. "I know Kyle died and everything, but we don't know if it was actually him, I mean anything could happen."
"When she say worst day of the year, does she mean Christmas?" Jason asked.
"No, she means Valentine's Day..." Cindy said as she bury her face on Jason's chest.
"She's right." Percy say as he open his eyes.
"We can't make our plans on what we do now, because Kristy will just figure it out." Ivy pointed out. "So why don't we pretend Kyle's death is fake and continue on our shopping and game."
"Great idea." Matthew spoke as his smile widen.
"We meet at your house tonight, around 10." I said as I waved them goodbye and started to find a present for Paul. The girls follow me after saying bye.
(Time skipped to 3 hours before Christmas)
Dawn's POV
"What do you mean we can't go?" I whined. "We have to be there."
"Kyle already been kidnapped and I don't want one of you to get kidnapped or killed." Leaf scolded.
"What about we invite them over here?" I asked.
"Fine, we can. Kristy and dad are gone." Leaf replied. Dawn pumped her hand in the air.
"I'll tell them." Ivy stated as she sent a text message to the guys.
"Now what?" I asked.
"Guys we ran out of milk." Autumn shouted from the kitchen.
"Why don't Autumn and I go get the milk from the store?" Jenny suggested as she put on her jacket.
"Yeah sure, but be careful." Leaf warned, glaring at them.
"We will, we will." Autumn replied.
"Hurry back!" Misty shouted. They nodded and left the house.
"Is it just me or does it feel like the two had changed, since the last time we saw them, I mean by a lot." I asked.
"Not just you. While we were at the academy, they would disappear every night." Annabeth pointed out.
"Now that you mention that, when I'm training at night, I would hear noises from their room." Ivy stated.
"Hey, sis, I'm just wondering... How do you get your sleep at night when you're training your Pokemon?" Cindy questioned.
"That's quite complicated to explain, I just can." Ivy answered.
"Oh, who want to make some Christmas cookies while we wait?" I suggested. The girls just nodded their head. We all headed to the kitchen and begin making the dough and putting it in the oven. About 8 minutes later, the doorbell ring. I skipped to the door and open it.
"Hi troublesome." Paul mumbled.
"My name is not troublesome! It is Dawn, D-A-W-N!" I shouted.
"Ello love and others." Cindy greeted as she walked to the doors with the other girls behind her.
"Hey baby." Jason greeted as he walk over to her. They gave a quick hug, before just holding hands. They were soooooo adorable.
"Leafy, you still mad at me?" Gary asked with a pout on his face.
"What do you think?" Leaf answered with her hands cross. Gary sighed.
"Forgive me please..." Gary begged.
"We'll see." Leaf replied as the oven dinged. "But first we get some cookies."
"Cookies?!" Ash shouted as he ran into the kitchen. I ran after him and saw him taking the cookies out of the oven.
"It's hot, be careful and we aren't done decorating them." I warned. It was too late, he quickly grab a cookie and put it in his mouth.
"OT! OT!" He screamed as he ran around the kitchen. I gave him a glass of cold water. "Ah, that was good."
"They aren't done." I replied. He look at me and sheepishly smile.
"Oops sorry." He replied.
"It's alright." I told him as I set the cookies down to decorate them.
"What just happen?" Paul asked. I glance at his onyx color eyes. I was about to speak but Ash cut me off.
"I just had the most amazing cookie ever!" Ash shouted.
"No need to shout, we're all right here." Misty scolded.
"Oops sorry." Ash apologized.
"Anyways, thanks, your mom gave us the recipe." I told him.
"My mom? As in Angel's mom too?" Ash asked. I nodded. "How did she tell you?"
"With this." Ivy answered, throwing the cube at him.
"That's just a cube." Drew pointed out.
"Not just any cube. Tap the green square." May commented as she smirked. I looked over at Ivy and she smirked. I saw Ash look over at her and she nodded her head.
"Okay." Ash mumbled as he press the green square. Two holograms popped up. One was a women in her mid thirties, with the same color hair as Percy and Annabeth, but she has Drew's eye. The other one was a man in his late thirties, with hair like Drew, but his eyes were like Percy and Annabeth.
"Hello Mr. Hayden and Mrs. Hayden. This is our new home." Ivy and May greeted with a smile.
"Hello Ivy and May, it been so long. Is everyone else with you?" Mrs. Hayden asked. Ivy and May nodded their head. "Excellent, where are they?"
"Mom?! Dad?!" Annabeth, Drew, and Percy shouted. The holograms turned around.
"Anna, Drewsy, and Perce! It's great to finally see you again." Mr/Mrs. Hayden greeted. Drew flipped his hair. Annabeth frowned and groaned. Percy putted his hand in his pocket and blew his hair out of his face.
"I told you to never call me that again." Annabeth stated.
"Oops, sorry dear." Mrs. Hayden replied with a little giggle. "How have you been?"
"I been doing great." Annabeth replied with annoyance.
"That's good, what about the other two?" Mr Hayden asked.
"They got themselves girlfriends." Annabeth answered. The group and I giggled, except Drew and Percy.
"What?! No, we don't, stop lying to mom and dad!" Percy and Drew yelled at the same time.
"Oooh that doesn't mean you don't like anyone? Go on tell us who." Mrs. Hayden replied. The doorbell rang. Jenny and Autumn should be home now.
"I'll get it!" Percy and Drew shouted as they ran to get the door.
"Bye, Mrs. Hayden and Mr. Hayden!" We all shouted as we waved bye. Ivy went over and grab the cube.
"Bye everyone, we'll talk soon." Mrs. Hayden replied. Mr. Hayden waved. Ivy pressed another button and the holograms disappear.
"Hey guys! You should come here!" I heard Drew and Percy shouting.
"Coming!" I replied.
"Ivy and May, did you know that their parents' holograms would show up?" Cedric asked. They nodded.
"You guys are gonna get it." Annabeth replied.
"Sorry." Ivy apologized. "But that was too funny."
"Yeah, sorry." May apologized.
"Next time, warn me or else." Annabeth threatened.
"You got it." Ivy and May replied. I looked at the door and there stood two girls, I never seen before.
