"Can't I get fucking lunch without a damn murder popping up!?" Irene demanded in disbelief as she stared at the body on the hood of the car after they had eaten lunch. Harley insisted on them getting some lunch before they went their separate ways and so they were all at a small shop he knew of eating when they ran into Harley's childhood friend, Kristen.

At first she thought one of the women, most likely Rachel, was the one Harley was excited to meet until she mentioned the name Kudo which caused all of them to point to Irene. She simmered down quickly when she realized that Irene referred to Harley as her 'onii-san' and that her supposed competition was really just a little kid detective…who was promptly squished in a hug that left her blue in the face from lack of air for being 'so darn cute' in Kristen's words.

After lunch as they were all getting back in the police car that was the Moore's ride, a body fell and hit the hood of the car which prompted Irene's reaction.

"Irene-chan?! Where did you learn those words?!" Seiko and Rachel demanded staring at the girl shocked while Yumi busted out laughing at the look on Sato, Kristen and the guys faces.

"There's someone up there. Yumi-nee! Sato-nee!" Irene said looking up at the roof where the man fell from, causing the two to sober up and nod as they took off. Irene ever so conveniently forgetting her kaa-san's question.

"Harley get backup here fast!" Irene ordered as the two women ran up to the roof while Irene and Seiko looked at each other and nodded. Seiko took a step closer to the cop, Salinger, to keep him from doing anything suspicious while Irene checked the crowd.

"Tea shop owner, claims to have received a call about a suspicious man on the top of the roof. Victim was already dead when he got up there. The body was tied to the door knob with a length of rope and covered with a sheet. Open the door…and wham…right into the hood of the car." Sato reported as she and Yumi met back up with Irene and the others, dragging the tea shop owner with them.

"Hmm." Irene hummed to herself thoughtfully as she looked out over the crowd again, closer this time. One woman looked panicked.

"Sato-nee." Irene said softly, looking straight at the panicked woman. Sato looked over in time to see the woman dash for her car. Of course that action drew the others attention.

"You're a witness ma'am! You can't leave yet!" Harley called chasing the woman until she drove off.

"Damn. She got away." Harley growled while Yumi smirked, having seen the woman herself and getting a perfect view of her license plate.

"Don't worry about her. I've got her license plate memorized. I think we need to get down to the station though, this is going to be a heck of an explanation." Yumi said grateful for once that she was a traffic cop. Her experience as one made sure that she remembered any license plate that she wanted to.

"I also got a photo of her face on my phone. I took it when I noticed that Irene-chan was paying her particular attention. I'll have a few of my people identify her and get her address and then send the info to Irene-chan's cellphone." Seiko said flipping her phone closed deftly with a smirk on her face Irene smiled up at her thankfully before the woman regretfully had to leave for her meeting.

"So they were all pierced through their wallets?" Sato asked after Harley explained things to them down at the police station.

"That's right and the motive wasn't money, trust me we checked everything. Not a thing to tie them in together except for their sudden deaths." Harley said sighing as he looked at the group in front of him.

"What was in their wallets when they were killed if it wasn't money?" Irene asked as she looked at the pictures of the three victims intently. She trusted Harley, he was as good of a detective as she was and they had both matched wits with Kaito Kid and came out with a stalemate each. She had an advantage over him though due to her apparent age, and her height which let her see or sneak things he couldn't. If he said money wasn't the motive, she trusted that money wasn't the motive simple as that. The part about nothing tying them together though…she'd double check that herself.

"I got it Harley! Here's the connection! Look the congressman's assistant is the first victim and his personal driver, who was fired four years ago, was the newest one!" Salinger said busting into the room with a video tape in his hands.

"What about the second victim? How does she tie in then?" Sato asked narrowing her eyes at the guy who kind of froze at that.

"Maybe she was just to throw us off?" Salinger suggested causing Irene to scoff.

"Yeah right. If that were the point then there would have been several other random killings between the first and latest victim. No something connects her to those two stiffs, the only question now is what is it?" Irene dismissed the guy entirely, causing him to look at her taken aback while Irene thought over things carefully.

"The wallet…there's something significant about stabbing the person through the wallet…what all goes in a wallet besides money?" Irene wondered as she closed her eyes in thought. The others that knew her stayed silent as she did this, watching her think while Harley motioned Salinger not to say anything.

"Credit cards and all are out because that counts as money. Hmm…insurance papers maybe…licenses…" Irene murmured as she thought it through.

"Each of the licenses were pierced by the knife too." Harley inputted helpfully causing Irene's eyes to snap open as her concentration was broken, but by helpful information at least.

"Wait…show me the licenses." Irene said causing Yumi to go get them from a helpful officer outside.

"Look! The three of them graduated from the same driving school! Probably from the same class!" Irene said after looking at the pierced licenses for a second, brightening up when she found something.

"There's our connection. Sato-nee get in touch with the driving school. Have them send over a photo and the name of everyone that was in that class the same time those three were. Any of them could be the next victim." Irene ordered causing the woman to nod and rush from the room to contact the school.

"Seiko just sent me the home address and phone numbers of the lady from earlier." Yumi said causing Irene to nod as she stood up.

"Alright Harley-nii you get the car, kaa-chan you go with Jiji to wherever Harley-nii tells you. It's possible that the killer knows Jiji's reputation and is wary. I'll be safe with Harley-nii, Yumi-nee, and Sato-nee." Irene ordered quickly and easily, causing Salinger to look at her in disbelief while the others merely nodded although neither Rachel nor Richard looked happy with it.

"Don't worry Rachel-san. We'll be watching over her…and we're much more dangerous than we seem." Sato said placing a hand on Rachels shoulder and giving her a reassuring smile, causing Irene to snort slightly. Her next comment earned a snicker from Harley while Sato, Yumi, and Rachel scolded her on her language.

"Dangerous? More like freaking Atom bombs waiting to blow. You two are badasses when it comes to your specialties."
