potentially triggering material: mentions of rape and flashbacks
next chapter up soon
Sakura came in the next morning very early, and she smiled fondly as she saw Kenji sleeping soundly. "How'd he sleep?" she asked the nurse, and the attendant shrugged, focused on her magazine. Sakura rolled her eyes, and she sat on the stool next to Kenji. She checked his vitals, and they were a vast improvement from the night before. She'd be able to take him home tonight. Sakura narrowed her eyes at the red marks on Kenji's arms. Were those…scratches? She moved a finger over them.
Kenji stirred, and his eyes fluttered open. "Mom? You're here? You're really here?"
Sakura's eyes softened. "Yeah, baby. I'm here."
Kenji looked relieved. "Mom, when can I come home?" He burrowed further into his blankets.
Sakura looked at the nurse. "In a couple hours if I can. Honey, you want something to eat?" The boy nodded. Sakura stroked his cheek. "Okay, I'll make your favorite dish." She eyed the scratches again. "Do you want to talk about what happened?"
"No," Kenji said all too quickly, and he turned to the other side. "I'm tired."
Sakura took that as a clear sign of him wanting to be left alone. "Okay, I'll be back later. You get some rest." She kissed the back of his head, and Kenji stiffened. She walked out the room, constantly glancing back at him.
She quickly bought the ingredients for Kenji's favorite meal and rushed home, starting to cook right away. Sasuke was still sleeping, but Sakura didn't bother keeping it down. He had slept for practically twelve hours, and it was time to get up.
She rolled her eyes as she heard him stomping down the stairs, grunting in frustration. "Morning, sleepy." She inhaled sharply as she felt him come up from behind her. He rested his chin on her shoulder, and despite everything, she felt herself get a little warm.
"What's that?"
Short of words as always, Sakura thought. "Cabbage, meat, and a special sauce. It's Kenji's favorite dish."
"Hm. Smells good." His hand was resting on her sternum, and Sakura gulped, trying to resist a blush. "Let me have some." He reached for the ladle, but Sakura swiped it away.
"No, wait till dinner," Sakura replied, stirring the mixture. Sasuke's breath tickled the hairs on the back of her neck, and she gasped quietly. Heat rushed to her face, and she bit her lip.
"Please," he whispered in her air, and Sakura blushed when she felt herself becoming wet. Sasuke kissed her shoulder and Sakura let out a breathy sigh. One of his hands travelled to her thigh, and Sakura felt her center start throbbing wildly. Sasuke dragged a finger over her nether lips, and Sasuke moaned loudly.
"Sasuke," Sakura pleaded.
Sasuke turned her around and kissed her full on the lips, and Sakura threw her arms over his neck. Sasuke deepened the kiss, and Sakura could feel that he was so, so hard.
Sasuke pulled away when the phone started to ring. Sakura panted, trying to get her breath back. "That's probably the hospital," Sakura said, pushing Sasuke's chest away. She picked up the phone and took a deep breath. "Hello? Oh. Okay, thanks." She put it down. "I'm going to pick up Kenji." She pointed at the pot. "You stir that every three minutes, and turn the flames off in fifteen. Then cover it. I'll be back soon." She snorted at the sight of Sasuke's boner poking through his sweatpants. "You take care of that so Kenji doesn't see it."
Sasuke blushed ever so slightly and stirred the ladle in the stew.
Kenji ran into the house excitedly, but he had to lean on the couch because of a sudden bout of dizziness. "Mom, you made it. You made it?" He inhaled extremely loudly and sighed in contentment. He froze when he saw Sasuke sitting at the kitchen table.
"What's he doing here, Mom?" Kenji's voice had an unnatural wobble to it, and Sakura frowned. "What's he doing in our house?"
"Kenji," Sakura started. "Sasuke is your father. I'm not going to hide that fact from you anymore. He has saved us numerous times. I'm giving him a place to stay."
Kenji grimaced. "He's the one who put us in danger in the first place."
"Kenji, what's gotten into you-"
Kenji was shaking in place as he let out a frustrated scream. "I'm going to my room. Could you bring me dinner? I don't feel well."
Sakura took a step forward, and her heart fell as Kenji took a step back. She cleared her suddenly tight throat. "S-sure thing, honey. It'll be ready soon." He mumbled a quiet thanks then jogged up to his room.
Sakura prepared a plate for him, and she set it on Kenji's desk, not wanting to disturb him from any more sleep. He had curled up underneath his blankets, and she murmured a good night to him. When she left, Kenji didn't bother stifling his cries.
Sakura curled up against Sasuke's back, relishing in his warmth. "I'm worried," she finally said. "About Kenji."
"Yes," he replied shortly.
"Did something happen to him? What should we do?" She cuddled close to him. She felt him sigh.
"Sakura, I'm…new to this parent thing." He fell silent for a moment. "I…had no guidance when I was young."
Sakura's eyes softened. "Because of the massacre?"
Sasuke let out a snort. "No. My mother was perfect, but my father had a, say, limited presence in my life." He exhaled, and Sakura could tell this was painful for him. "I don't have much experience."
Sakura paused before saying something risky. "Sasuke, hear me out. I think you should see Itachi." Instead of getting furious like she expected, Sasuke turned to her.
"Do you think that would help?"
Sakura smiled gently and took his hand. "Itachi is a very good father. And although he made mistakes, he is a very good man." Sasuke lowered his head, and Sakura held him close to her. "Go see your brother."
Kenji woke up soaked in sweat. He felt stupid, but all he wanted was to go to his mom's bed and sleep with her. He grabbed his pillow and headed on to her room. However, at the sight of Sasuke sleeping beside his mother, he exited once more. This was okay; he could handle this on his own.
Sakura smiled. Kenji was sweet, checking up on her like that. She almost wanted to invite him to sleep with them, but she knew that would make things awkward. She kissed Sasuke goodnight and promptly fell asleep herself.
Sasuke and Itachi met in the motel that Itachi's family was staying in, and needless to say, it was very awkward. Itachi very nervously sipped his tea, and Sasuke just glared at his brother's wife as she bustled about, calling potential sellers. "What do you mean you won't even rent to us? We are perfectly good people!" she huffed.
Sasuke just shook his head at the loud woman and said, "Don't be so stupid." The woman glared at him pointedly and immediately looked to her sleeping daughter on the bed.
Itachi was immediately angered. "Don't speak to Haruna that way." That shocked Sasuke back into silence, and the brothers continued to not say anything until Haruna sighed. The sigh wavered and betrayed her confidence. Her face was sweating, and her eyes were shifting back and forth.
"Kisame, let's go. Get the baby." Kisame sighed but did as he was told, picking up the sleeping Takara. Haruna quickly grabbed Takara from Kisame's arms and sped out the door, and Kisame followed her.
The brothers were then left face to face with each other and with nowhere to run.
Itachi told Sasuke everything. He did not leave out a single grisly detail, and at one point, a tear escaped his eye as he recalled what he did to their parents. Sasuke had never seen his elder brother like this, not even when they were at their young, carefree days. He placed a tentative hand on his brothers and squeezed roughly, his eyes hooded with emotion.
They began to chat about what they had been doing with their lives, especially Sasuke's problem with Sakura. Itachi smiled.
"Sasuke, let me tell you what to do."
Sasuke returned home quickly, trying to conceal his happiness. Sakura smiled when she saw Sasuke walking in the door, giving him a hug. "What did Itachi say?"
Sasuke said just one word, and that was all it took for Sakura's eyes to light up.
"Honeymoon."
"Kenji, honey. Me and Sasuke are going on a honeymoon." They didn't notice that his eyes were dead. "Is that okay?" Sakura crooned, tilting her head to the side.
"Yeah, whatever."
Sasuke grunted. "We'll make arrangements for you. We'll be gone for two weeks. Where would you like to stay?"
Sakura tapped Sasuke. "We could leave him with my parents or family, he'd probably appreciate that."
Kenji's eyes widened. "Jin."
The loving couple went silent. "Are you sure?" Sasuke gritted out. Kenji nodded. Sakura shrugged.
"I'll talk to Naruto and see what he can do."
As per his orders, Naruto allowed for Kenji to go to the land of water, and Jin was more than happy to take Kenji in. Kenji was dropped off at the gates by ANBU, and Jin took over from there.
"How are you doing, buddy?" Jin asked, rubbing the boy's back. Kenji didn't answer. Jin noticed the boy's unnatural calm demeanor, but she didn't mention it. "Hey, we're almost at my house, okay? Saobi is staying with me to recover, if that's all right." Kenji remembered that as the person his aunt was having sex with.
Kenji nodded and took Jin's hand, something he hadn't done in a long time.
Jin grimaced. Something was wrong.
She unlocked the front door. "Hey, I cleared a room for you. I'll take your bags up, okay? You go entertain Saobi." Saobi waved at the boy from his wheelchair, both his legs comically in casts.
"Hey there, kiddo."
Kenji actually smiled. "You didn't die."
"Nope, but I was close." Saobi let out a toothy grin, and he patted the boy's shoulder with great effort. "Wanna see a scar? I got it on my butt."
"Yeah, yeah!"
"Saobi, that's enough!" Jin snapped. "Hey, your room is ready. Come up here and see it!"
Kenji flashed one last little smile at Saobi and headed up the stairs. "Thanks, Auntie."
"No problem." She closed the door behind her. "How has it been the last couple of weeks? I heard from the hokage that it was a little rough." Kenji fell silent again, and Jin knew that this was a good private place. "Kenji. Baby, what happened?" She cupped his face with her palm and looked into her boy's beautiful eyes.
Kenji's lip quivered, and he whimpered as he inadvertently let out tears. He wrapped his arms around his aunt's neck and cried. Jin held him close to her, protecting him from everything else.
Once Kenji had fallen asleep, Jin closed his door softly and went to sit with Saobi. "What happened to him?" Saobi asked quietly, stroking Jin's face. She was so pale and distraught looking. "Jin."
Jin's face fell in her hands, and she drew in a shuddering breath.
"Orochimaru raped him."
i hope that didn't surprise anyone I foreshadowed that a lot, but tw mention at the beginning. next chapter will be up soon, and will be mostly smut.
author note: i can't believe i have to even say this, but i believe it is necessary. I received some reviews that accused this story of being a rape fantasy. First off, no. I wrote it in because it fit, not because I believe that the characters deserve this. I wrote it in a specific way to display it was disgusting and in no way the victim's fault. rape is a barbaric thing to happen to someone, and i do not wish it upon anyone. just because it happens in a story i write does not mean i support it. Not. at. all. i have the trigger warnings there for a reason: because it can be triggering. I myself use this story as a sort of coping mechanism. I am not apologizing for that.
secondly, i applaud this anon that trudged through all 28 chapters despite hating the story lol. props to you, but it was kinda a waste of your time? Some people like reading rape fantasies tho so you can find that stuff elsewhere very easily. good luck to you.
