AN~ Oh my gosh what did I DO? Much editing because this was horrible horrible horrible. (A little late for Christmas, but close enough.) Still kind of corny.

One week before Christmas, and Sabrina was almost done with her shopping. She hadn't meant to leave it so late, but it was hard getting rides, and she couldn't exactly buy a present for her mom with the woman right there. They'd gone to Granny's for Christmas- they went to Granny's for most holidays- and she couldn't walk to the store. So today was the first time she'd gotten to downtown Ferryport Landing on her own.

She'd had to bribe Puck into flying her, which depleted her funds a bit, but she'd managed.

So now she had earrings for Daphne, who had just gotten her ears pierced a little while ago, a book of normal recipes for Granny, some movie about the women who played baseball in World War II for her mom, a detective kit for Basil, a set of paints for Red, a set of homing devices for her dad (he was still plenty overprotective, and she figured this way she could go places without telling him in advance), and some snow globe that would show Uncle Jake pictures of Briar that Buzzflower had helped her make.

She'd already given her friends their presents before school ended, and Granny'd told her she was giving the family friends joint presents, so she didn't have to worry about Snow or any of them.

This was where she started having problems. Pinocchio was still kind of a tool, so she wasn't even sure she wantedto give him a present, but it would be rude not to. And Mr. Canis? She guessed she could give him, like, a sweater, but that felt wrong. And Puck? What did you get a fifteen-year-old-but-really-four-thousand-and-some-year-old gross fairy prince/king who might be your friend but also might not?

Oh well. She'd look around and see what she could find. Maybe she could get Pinocchio a snow globe like Uncle Jake's, but with pictures of Ghepetto. Or some wood carving tools. He liked carving, right?

She sighed, folded her list up, and stuck it back in her pocket as she continued walking down the street.

On Christmas Eve, five days later, Sabrina still hadn't found a gift for Puck. She also hadn't wrapped anyone else's, and she had decided that now would be a good time to do so. But first she had to do a bit of reconnaissance to make sure no one would barge in on her.

Granny was in the kitchen, baking. that would keep her busy for a while. Mom was messing with the tree. Also sufficiently occupied. Uncle Jake was also messing, but he was outside, convinced the lights weren't quite right. He'd be out there for ages, if the last three years were any hint (Sabrina thought he just had a hard time being with all these happy people for so long). The kids were all outside, having a snowball fight that mostly consisted of pelting Pinocchio with the things.

Wrapping didn't take very long, and nobody barged in on her. She should have been happy. She'd gotten Pinocchio the carving tools and Mr. Canis a yoga video, and she was ready for Christmas. But there was a tag on an empty bag that read "To Puck; From Sabrina," and no present inside it.

She knew it shouldn't bother her that much- they still weren't quite sure if they were friends or enemies or dating- but it did. Because if they were kind of dating, like it seemed like they were sometimes, when he'd hold her hand under the table, or offer to fly her somewhere just for the heck of it, or they'd sit next to each other on the couch and play video games, then it would be awful of her not to buy him a present.

But she just had no idea what to get him. And it was driving her crazy!

Daphne and Basil woke everyone up at six the next morning to open presents, and Sabrina still didn't have anything for Puck.

This turned out not to be a problem, though, because he never came downstairs. Nobody noticed in the hurricane that was Granny's living room, but once all the other presents were opened and breakfast was eaten, there was still a stack of pancakes in the kitchen and a pile of presents with Puck's name on them.

Sabrina was the first one to notice. "Where's Puck?" she asked.

Granny looked around in surprise. "Did you get him up this morning Daphne?"

"No," she answered. "He said he was gonna get up earlier than me and I better not go in his room."

"Could you go look for him, Sabrina?" Uncle Jake asked.

Sabrina sighed, but got up to go look anyway. Of course they'd ask her. They always did.

Puck's room was, as usual, warm and summery. It was refreshing, considering how cold Mr. Canis insisted on keeping the house, but it was also a bit eerie, because the whole place was empty. She didn't see a single pixie or chimp. Even the boxing kangaroo was gone.

"Puck?" Sabrina called, stepping through the trunk that housed the entrance to Puck's room while he and Uncle Jake traveled.

There was no reply.

"Puck!" She called again, louder. "There's a bunch of presents in the living room for you! And food!"

Again, there was no answer.

"Puck! Don't you dare ignore me!" Sabrina switched to threatening him- sometimes it worked better.

This time, there was a reply, in the form of three pixies carrying a note to her.

The contents of the note were as follows:

Grimm- Follow the pixies and wait for me. I've got a surprise for you. I promise you won't want to kill me for it. -Puck

Sabrina sighed and turned to the pixies. "He better be telling the truth."

The pixies flew off and Sabrina followed them, as instructed. She played with the piece of paper she'd written for Puck- her sorry excuse for a present. When she got to a clearing in Puck's woods, the pixies disappeared. She shrugged and sat down to wait.

It must have been fifteen minutes before Puck showed up. When he did, he said "Hey," and Sabrina, startled, jumped about a foot in the air.

She could see him smothering a grin as he said, "Merry Christmas."

"Merry Christmas yourself. Why am I here?" she snapped, glaring at him.

He sighed. "Where is the trust?"

Sabrina continued glaring. "I let it with your glop grenades."

Puck smiled slightly. "Relax, Grimm, I left your present here and figured I might as well give it to you here, too."

Now Sabrina was curious, but still guarded. "What is it?" She didn't see any presents.

Puck reached into a hole in one of the trees and tosed her a small black box. Rolling her eyes at his irreverence, Sabrina opened it, far away from her face to avoid any goop that might squirt at her.

She stared at the contents for a full five minutes. Inside was a necklace. It was simple, a green and blue ying-yang symbol on a silver chain. It was also beautiful, and it looked expensive.

Puck had started to fidget after a few seconds. Finally, he couldn't contain himself anymore. "Do you like it?"

Sabrina looked up and grinned. "I love it! Thank you so much!" She threw her arms around him, then realizing who it was and what she had just done, she awkwardly removed her arms and looked down, blushing. She held out her piece of paper. "Here's your gift. It's pretty pathetic compared to yours, but..."

Puck took it and, to her embarrassment, read what was written on it out loud, "The bearer of this coupon may have one day of doing whatever he wants to Sabrina Grimm without her beating him up for it, up to and including: dumping her in pots of gross things, dying her skin green, and making her smell bad."

"I couldn't think of what to get you," Sabrina said softly. "And after this necklace, I feel really bad."

Puck gave her a half smile. "My mom sent it and said I should give it to you, so relax. It's not like I broke the bank on you or anything." His grin widened. "This, though... This is great, Grimm. It's perfect."

Sabrina relaxed a little. "Oh good." He wasn't disappointed, at least.

"Could I use it now?" he asked.

Sabrina tensed again. "I guess," she said. She'd been so hoping for a good Christmas.

Puck leaned forward and pressed his lips against hers. Sabrina pulled back, staring at him, her face turning red. That was not what she'd been expecting.

"You said if I did that again, you'd knock my teeth out," Puck explained. "And I like my teeth." He grinned as she kept staring at him. "You liked it, didn't you?" She still couldn't find her words, so his grin got even bigger. "Oh, yes, you did!" He laughed. "Perfect! I changed my mind, I'm not using the coupon today!"

Sabrina still didn't know what to say, so she smacked him upside the head. "Shut up and kiss me again, gasbag," she told him.

Puck did.

And Sabrina did like it.
