Nothing to really respond to in reviews...besides sorry NinjaKirby, ya gonna have to wait. Anyway, please read!
Shyvana stormed down the halls, searching for the man who caused it all. Talon. That bastard wasn't going to leave in one piece, that was for sure. She growled softly as she saw the bodies of the comrades she had killed, getting even more enraged that she had been tricked into doing such a thing.
She turned a corner and came face to face with Sona and Xin Zhao. The champions had split up, the different champions going together, the supports splitting up.
They just stared at each other for a moment, Xin fingering his weapon before Sona grabbed his arm, stopping him. She slowly walked forward, Shyvana frozen to the spot. She strummed softly, Shyvana? That's you right? Not the evil version of you?
Shyvana stared at the golden letters before slowly nodding. Sona jumped the startled half dragon, knocking her to the floor as she was hugged tightly. Sona had tears going down her face, and Shyvana was stunned, so she only stared at the warrior as she was squeezed like a stuffed animal.
Xin noticed this and explained. "She was worried to death about you. She actually, surprisingly, got infuriated when they fund out the portal didn't work." He allowed himself a small smile. "But anyway, from what I heard she thought it was mainly her fault and that she needed to fix it and everything, but I think she was worried for your safety as well, right?" Sona nodded quickly. "See?"
"Um…Sona…it's not your fault, okay?" Shyvana said, rubbing her back awkwardly. She wasn't used to these shows of affection. "Erm…why…is she hugging me like this?"
Xin looked at her with a 'seriously?' look. "Cause you guys are friends…um…isn't that…isn't that obvious."
Friends? Shyvana looked at the Sona, clutching her and sobbing tears of joy in her arms. "Oh yeah…so friends act like this together huh?" She rubbed Sona's back some more, less awkward. "Don't worry about it, it's not your fault, it's all Talon's fault."
"Speaking of which…" Xin pulled out his weapon. "Where is he?"
"Well, assuming he wasn't incinerated in my blast, which I don't think he was, he's running about through the castle right now, probably trying to escape."
"C'mon," Xin said, holding his spear in home hand as he reached down to help the two of them up. "Let's get moving. Let's see if we can find him before the others do."
"Others?"
Sona had gotten herself back together, letting go of Shyvana and picking up her etwhal, and strumming softly. "Shyvana, lots of us came. Lux, Ahri, Galio, Caitlyn, Vi, Soraka, and Nami, and myself and Xin Zhao of course, all came to get you back."
"But isn't it like, the middle of the night or something? Everything's kind of hazy…the past few days I mean…"
"It is." Xin shrugged. "But our home was under attack, and some of us were worried, other angry. We had to come help."
"Oh…thanks…even if I don't know you Xin…"
"It's nothing." Xin held tightly onto his spear with both hands, turning around. "To the gate! We have to cut off Talon before he escapes."
Shyvana growled, her eyes sparking up with flames as she remembered what he called her. "He will die 1000 times for calling me a bitch…"
Sona hugged her again and squeezed her once more before letting go. She grinned up at her, wiping away tears and strummed softly. "Just, I'm glad you're okay. Can you let me play for you once we get back to the Institute? Please?"
"yeah sure, let's just get Talon, okay?" Shyvana said, calming down and smiling as she hugged Sona. "Thanks for coming, sorry to make you worry."
Sona smiled and squirmed out of her grasp, following Xin. "C'mon now, can't let Xin travel by himself can we?"
"I'm right behind you, don't worry."
Talon watched the three of them walk away, releasing his held breath as he came out of the shadows, biting his lip.
"Fuck!" he swore softly as he watched them turn a corner and head to the main door, smirking. All of them would be at the front door, he reasoned, so it would be the best to go out of anywhere no there.
Idiots, all of those fools from Demacia are, Talon said, smirking as he began sprinting to the nearest window. He peaked out and quickly drew back, seeing Galio flying through the sky, circling the castle. He just passed by the window he had been looking out.
Talon waited a few more moments to give Galio some time to get away from him, before peaking out the window again. The gargoyle hadn't had seen anything, so he was in the clear for now.
He kept on going down the hall, being especially careful around the windows. One time, he had to stop and wait while the gargoyle sat down and took a quick break on a perch right next to the window. He had to wait a good few nerve racking minutes until he left, allowing Talon to continue.
There weren't any guards on the top floors which was interesting, but that was probably because they were all fighting mercenaries. But with the champions arriving, it felt like they wouldn't last much longer.
Looking out the window, he got to see a few of his men staggering away from the castle, either scared by the champion's arrival, or too close to death to care about much else besides escaping.
Got to make my escape quickly then, he thought, running more quickly down the hall to get to one of the towers in the four corners. He approached it with caution, listening to see if anyone was coming up or down from the battlements. If he was quiet enough, he could faintly hear a conversation going on at the top, but it didn't sound like they were leaving their post anytime soon.
He went down and down the spiral staircase, his footsteps soft and quiet as he went down the candlelit staircase. He thought he heard another person's steps at one point, but as he sat there quietly in the shadows, he heard nothing. When he started walking again, he heard nothing and just assumed it was his nerves.
As he walked, he grimaced and glared at nothing in particular. That damn Shyvana, he swore. This plan was working perfectly. Then she has to go ahead and break from the curse in that potion. He became thoughtful. How did they break her free? Hmm, I might want to see about finding that out and modifying the curse so it doesn't happen again when I use it.
He saw two guards coming up and drew his blade, simply chopping their heads off before they could even scream, a sadistic smile crossing his face. I'll be alive, I can come back and take full revenge on all of them, but how…maybe I should find a way to take control of Baron Nashor and his kin…that would be a nice army…wouldn't it?
Lost in his own thought as he descended to the second floor, he didn't notice the pair of feet following him, their steps perfectly in time with his as their crimson hair flowed down behind them and they gripped their daggers tightly, gritting her teeth as she passed the dead bodies of the guards.
Talon opened a window on the second floor, peaking up. He waited until he saw Galio pass by then hopped out the window, spreading his arms and legs to fall more slowly, using his cape to slow him down even more. He brought his body together and rolled as he landed, raising his head quickly to look around and see if anyone noticed him. Not seeing anyone, he began running across the field, keeping his body low to the ground as he headed for the wall.
He was maybe two dozen feet from the wall, when he looked back and narrowly rolled out of the way of a series of daggers. He growled as he stopped running, drawing his blade and staring into the darkness.
"So you're here too Kitty Kat?" he said with a snear.
She stared at him with cold eyes, twirling her daggers as she moved forward.
"What? Upset that I hurt your lover boy?" Her eyes narrowed at that comment, a smirk growing on his face. "Oh it was fun to watch him scream and squirm and beg for mercy just like-"
"Just like how I'm about to hurt you," she growled, staring at him with a look that could kill Baron Nashor. Without any further warning, she rushed towards him, throwing two daggers. He sidestepped them, only to have to raise his blade to block her daggers as she clashed with him, sparks flying as their metal hit.
"You can't beat me Kitty Kat," he said pompously. "I was always the better assassin."
"Hmph," she grinned. "So you say."
Up in the sky, Galio saw the fight going on the lawn, the sparks coming from their blades signaling him their location. Instead of joining the fray, he flew higher and turned away, heading for the main gates of the castle.
By then, the guards were all relaxing, locking up the mercenaries, tending to the wounded, or standing guard just in case. They had one once the champions arrived. Shyvana's fire combined with Xin Zhao's spear was a deadly combo, not to mention Vi and Caitlyn with their years of teamwork knew what to do in these kind of situation.
The support champions were tending to the wounded, getting their thanks and blushing at their praise. Ahri was…entertaining them just by walking around and leaning against them, teasing them but keeping them happy. She had the nickname, vixen, for a reason.
Galio flew in through the front door, landing by Shyvana. "Hello Galio, what's up? You seem like you were in a rush."
"I was. Cause we found him…also, did you know that another person hopped into the teleporters besides us?"
She raised an eyebrow. "Is that person holding him off for right now?"
"Yes, she is." Shyvana's eyes went wide as she took a guess on who it was. She did remember that Garen was hurt, and there was…
"It's Katarina," Galio said, confirming her thoughts. "Shall we go support?"
"Yes, we will." She looked up. "Xin Zhao, Vi, Caitlyn, care to come hunt him down?"
Xin shook his head, smiling. "The rest of you go, I don't have as great a reason to go as you do…wait…where's Lux? Ah god I'll go find her," he groaned, running his hand through her head. "She's hopelessly lost without her brother."
Ahri hopped up and pouted. "Why can't I come along?"
"Cause you can heal people can't you?" Shyvana said with a raised eyebrow. She rubbed Ahri's ears, making her purr a little. "Don't worry, I'll give him one for you, okay?"
She was silent for a while before nodding. "Fine, you owe me though," she said, grinning as she hopped away.
The five of them walked or flew out, following Galio to the fight that was still raging on.
Kat was holding Talon back, preventing him from running away and out of the grounds of the castle. She had some bad wounds though, several gashes down each arm and leg, and was fighting purely off of fury and adrenaline.
Talon wasn't as bad, but she was able to get some wounds on his chest that were bleeding a good bit.
Kat felt a strong hit send her flying, crashing into the ground and skidding before she stopped, groaning in pain. She tried raising herself up, but he placed his blade against her neck, grinning as he looked down at her. His knees pinned her arms down as he smirked, reaching down with his free hand to play with her hair.
"See little Kitty Kat," he said, a smirk on his face as he poked her cheek. "You can't do anything to me. I am better than you, always have been, always will be." He removed his hand from her hair, grabbing a dagger from his side and raising it. He slid it down the middle, removing her clothes. "If I had more time, I would have more fun with you…but…" He raised the dagger above her head. "This is goodbye."
Just then, a ball of fire came racing right above Kat, missing her just barely, and forcing talon to roll off of her.
"Sorry bitch!" Shyvana called out, strutting forward. "You're mine to kill, mkay?"
"Hey now," Galio flew next to her. "You promised that the rest of us would get a few hits in too."
"Did I?" Shyvana gave him an innocent smile. "I can't recall." She looked down at Kat as she got herself into a sitting position, holding her clothes onto her. "Just rest for a bit Kat, you already got some payback. I'll make sure to throw a few in for you though, if you want me to."
"Yeah…that'd be nice…" she grinned. "Fuck him up real good." She then laid down, allowing her body to relax and just watch the fight. She was kind of upset that Shyvana's fire had singed her hair, but it would grow back.
"Well well, look who's back. Come to serve your master some more?" Talon taunted.
"Nope, I'm here to kill you, not serve you. So c'mon," her eyes flashed with fire. "Let's see what you got."
