The next morning Hermione got up out of bed, got dressed and sighed as She looked at herself in the mirror, she was dreading seeing Ron and Lavender at breakfast but decided to let It go she couldn't let it bother her anymore the War, Harry and the Horcrux's was important and needed all her attention.
Hermione shook her head as she headed out of her room and into the common room one thing she was happy about was Helping Professor Snape with brewing she loved potions and wouldn't mind being a potions Mistress herself and she would speak to him about the Slytherin boy she found the other day.
Harry moaned when it was time to get up his scar was hurting him it had been getting worse as time went on, more burning sensations and pain he also felt like his emotions were all over the place he left to the common room he would Ask Hermione about it. ''Hey Mione can I ask you something?''
''Sure are you ok?'' Hermione said looking at him in concern
''I was wondering if the reason my emotions have been over the place is because I am feeling Voldomort's emotions through our connection? i mean I feel so angry all the time.''
Hermione could see him getting worked up over this and it hurt her ''Well We know your scar allows you to see into his mind and he into your own. it is possible that his emotions are passing through to you.''
Hermione looked at Harry for a moment as she thought about what he said she had noticed his mood swings ''i think we should start you on Occlumancy this evening when i am done with Professor Snape it is important now more than ever and it may help as well as stop him viewing your mind and keep your emotions under control we don't want him knowing he has a connection with you although i suspect he already knows.'' she shook her head ''No we can't take any chances if he decides to use you we need to keep the Order and everything a secret and we do not want him knowing we are hunting his souls.''
Harry sighed ''Ok i will do anything at the moment my scar is killing me and I hate being so angry.''
Hermione smiled she felt a little guilty herself she wondered if she should tell Harry about it. Should I tell him I am an Animagas? no wait until he knows how to occlude his mind if Voldomort or anyone found out they would be in deep shit and her form would help her during the war. yeah i will tell him when he has some experience occluding his mind. ''Hopefully when you can close your mind it will help with your nightmares as well trust me, I know.''
Harry smiled sympathetically he knew she used her shields a lot to hide her emotions only letting them fall when she was behind closed doors with him ''Ok we will start tonight at least you won't be horrible like Snape was.''
''Professor Snape Harry and I am sure he was just as frustrated as you were and I know you. Harry you don't like him so you won't be willing to work hard with him.''
Harry frowned ''I suppose but he was a pure git to me.''
''Yes well you won't have him showing you. I will and I will not be going easy on you mind.''
Harry gulped he knew she would be strict and hard on him but he figured that if anyone could get him to do it then it would be Hermione ''Fair enough i would prefer you, Lets go get breakfast.''
Hermione chuckled and followed Harry out of there common room and headed down to the Great Hall for breakfast ''So when we go to Hogsmead we need to get some clothes for the dance.''
Harry groaned ''I suppose so, i will be easy enough to by for just a usual suit''
Hermione laughed ''Yes well i have some idea of what I want i am not that bothered to be honest but hell i may as well have some fun and we both are rubbish dancers.''
Harry laughed ''Well your not to bad but i will be able to be relaxed knowing i am with you. we can grab a butter beer as well while where there''
Hermione grinned ''Yup we sure can and we can grab an ice cream, i only hope we won't be interrupted.''
Harry nodded he knew what she meant they would like a Death Eater free trip. ''Well all we can do is make sure the DA are prepared to protect the other students and with us being Heads we will need to keep everyone under control perhaps avoid them as much as we can since we are the targets, including Neville and Luna.''
''Yeah that could work since the fifth year Luna and Neville are in danger as well although us three are in the most danger. but if we stay away from the others, then they may not get hurt and the other DA members that have been trained can protect the others.''
Harry nodded in agreement ''Do you think we should visit the DA and tell them our plan? or just inform Luna and Neville?''
Hermione seemed to think about it they should inform them before hand ''Yeah i think we should tell them ourselves and inform Ronald in Detention we will have to keep him close to us it wouldn't do for the Death Eaters or Voldomort to realise there is a split between the three of us.''
''I agree so we tell the DA ourselves and inform Ron of our plan in Detention i am sure Professor McGonagall will agree to the idea.''
''Excellent lets go.'' Hermione was the first to enter the Hall followed closely by Harry she heard whispers and saw people staring she shook her head and made sure her shield was up so they wouldn't know what she was feeling or thinking she saw Ron and Lavender and couldn't help but smile at them they looked so funny she sat down next to Ginny ''Hey Gin.''
''Mione, are you ok? I am so sorry I shouldn't have lied to you I...'' however she was cut off by Hermione talking.
''You were trying to protect me from being hurt, I understand it isn't your fault its sorted and i have nothing to forgive you for. just next time tell me.''
Ginny let out a breath she wasn't aware she was holding ''Thank God I was so worried you would hate me.''
Hermione smiled ''I don't hate you Gin I could never hate you for wanting to avoid me being hurt, I am sure I would be in the same position as you if it was me being the conflicted one. Now lets forget about it i have dealt with the issue.''
Ginny laughed ''Oh yeah that is brilliant. I love what you did to them, they are laughed at every time they enter the Hall.''
Harry was the next one to laugh ''Well serves them right.''
Ginny smiled ''Sooo Who you going to the dance with?''
''Harry'' she looked at Ginny and smiled ''It is easier and we can have a laugh then as well you could hang with us if you like.''
Ginny smiled and sighed a little bit she would have loved to go with Harry but perhaps she could get closer to him if she hung out with him more ''Yeah maybe.'' unless she could find someone to take her perhaps he would notice her then.
Hermione smiled ''Brilliant.''
Ron was sitting there glaring at Hermione, he couldn't believe how she got him into trouble and now he was walking around being tormented by Slytherin's every time he leant over ''Mione can you remove this. I think you have had your bit of fun.''
Hermione ignored him and continued eating, talking to Neville, Luna, Ginny and Harry she knew Ron was talking to her, but she was ignoring him if she was to talk to him it wouldn't be polite or nice
''Mione why are you ignoring me. This is just as much your fault as it is mine. More yours actually if you...'' Ron couldn't whisper to save his life everyone could hear him well those within a close range.
Hermione leant over and slapped him across the face everyone in the hall looked ''How dare you blame me. I didn't make you go and sleep with her! you chose to sleep around and use me for Homework. l just hope that she does well in her exams because you are not going to be getting a job she will have to provide for you since you don't have a brain cell in your thick head.'' Hermione turned to Harry and Ginny ''Guys I'm going to head on down to Charms see you later Gin.'' With that she grabbed her bag and stormed out of the Great Hall leaving a stunned Ron and shocked students and Professors.
''Albus you are going to have to talk to the idiot he is causing the problems from what i can see.'' Severus hissed in the Headmasters ear
Albus sighed and nodded, he was right ''Yes i have heard from the paintings that Miss Granger is including Mr Weasley in their chats and anything they are planning but it would seem that he is the person causing problems.'' he shook his head ''I will leave it a little longer and if nothing has changed I will have a word with him.''
Severus looked at him and nodded his head ''Good because I can't have him ruining my planning. it could be deadly if he should ever find out''
''Relax my boy Tom won't find out it will be sorted I will see to it. Now I believe Miss Granger will be with you after her second lesson?''
''Yes she will be coming down to help brew I will allow her to take whatever ingredients she wishes and pretend I am unaware.''
''Thank you my boy this will work out just fine.''
''I don't know how you think it will you don't' even know where they are. So how are they going to know?''
''That's why they have Miss Granger she will figure it out. She has so far and i believe she is even going to teach Mr Potter Occlumancy.''
Severus just grunted and went back to his own meal he watched as Granger slapped Weasley and storm out he couldn't believe how stupid the idiot could be to treat her like that there were and are not many Witches like her around. he mentally slapped himself for thinking about the girl in that way.
Hermione walked along the corridors she wiped she shut her eyes to stop the tears she couldn't understand why Ron would treat her like that wasn't she good enough? would she ever have a relationship? she may be scarred and damaged, but she was caring and loving right? that's what Harry says. she shook her head it was no use thinking she just had to face facts that she will forever be alone.
Ginny glared at her brother and Lavender ''You Ron are an idiot, Wait till Mum finds out about how you treated Mione and Fred and George they wont' be happy.''
''Your going to tell mum?'' Ron had paled now
''Well yeah you insulted, used and put Mione down all for her. Mum will not forgive you for this, she loves Mione she is family Lavender wont ever be accepted.''
''Don't worry Won, Won your mum will be happy that you are with someone who loves you and will treat you right'' Lavender said whilst clinging onto his arm she hated that Hermione was so close to his family.
Ginny raised her eyebrow at her and looked at Ron ''Yeah of course Won, Won Mum will just love to know you slept with Lavender behind Mione's back, you know she stays with us all the time Mum, Dad and the others love her'' she looked at Lavender ''You won't ever be part of our family. Harry and Mione are our family, my mother loves them both we are together all the time.'' she stood up and looked to Harry ''Come on I think we should leave''
Harry got up and followed Ginny ''Yeah i better catch up with her we got charms now then DADA'' he looked at Ginny ''What do you have?''
''Potions, Transfiguration, Divination, COMC and History of magic.'' Ginny sighed she didn't like Potions.
Harry chuckled ''I feel sorry for you, I got Charms, DADA, free period then Divination.''
''Lucky you at least you get to have a free.'' Ginny smiled and waved as she headed down to the dungeons
Harry smiled and walked along to charms class, he walked in and smiled at Hermione as he took his seat next to her ''You ok.''
''Fine.''
''What he said was bang out of order..''
''Don't worry'' Hermione waved her hand and cut him off as she looked to the front of the room.
Harry sighed and gave up she was giving him one or two worded answers he knew she wanted to be left alone, so he just focussed on getting his books open and waiting for Professor Flitwick to start the class he hoped that when she was brewing with Snape she would cheer up.
Ok so Next chapter we will be seeing Hermione assisting Snape. I wonder if her plan will work? How will Snape cope being so close to Hermione?
