AN~ Edited a lot like the previous one because the old fic was like a hundred and fifty words long and kind of pointless on its own. I'm just gonna work it into the chapter it tied into.
All the Editor wanted was to live in peace. Just... to have his own space, his nice little library, and to be left alone. He had the revisers for pets if he wanted company, even if most people thought they were disgusting and a little more than terrifying. He had his books for entertainment.
All he needed to be completely happy was for these stupid characters to remember that they weren't actually people, and to get comfortable with their lot in life, stop trying to plot their little revolutions. Then things would be perfect.
Or, at least, that's what he'd thought.
Then those people started showing up. That was not acceptable. He'd been created so that nobody would have to come in here. He was the one whose job it was to keep everything nicely lined up and in order. This was his domain. And these real people from the outside world did. Not. Belong here.
He wanted to hate all of them equally, to kick them out of his book before they caused any more trouble (honestly, they didn't even know the stories!), but eventually he realized that he'd have to align himself with the lesser of three evils. Those children might be making a mess of things, but they, at least, were trying to get the other two out of the book. And that was what he wanted. Everyone out of the book. His book.
He sat back and watched them work for a while. They bungled everything up considerably. It was quite frustrating. Honestly, how hard was it to catch a pair of foolish, overconfident Everafters? His revisers could do it in no time flat.
And then they brought a revolution right to his doorstep. How much could these children do wrong? Honestly.
All right, so maybe they didn't do it on purpose. But still. He'd had enough. He wanted them all gone.
And then- and then- as if he hadn't gone through enough yet- and then the children's family showed up!
Not only did the entire frustrating Grimm clan find their way into his domain, but they started destroying his stories on purpose!
He heaved a monstrous sigh. He'd never get his peace and quiet. He might as well resign himself to it. He was doomed to a life of misery.
