First, I have reasons as to why it's been so long. Oh and Hi. One reason, half way through the chapter, I lost my motivations. Volleyball sounds like a fun idea, but it's so boring to write, like Jesus! Be glad I finished it at all...*flops down tired*
Also, I've been going in and out of sickness. I got sick when i was back in the country, it left, then came back. It was some weird throat, sinus, head thing. Then there were three days I couldn't move without my head threatening to explode. FUN! Might have been my body adjusting to my slate's climate, who knows.
Finally, my house is being worked on! The garage door, the bedroom, and the walls are being painted, so yeah, lots of shit.
I do apologize for taking twice as long to release a shit chapter I got tired of writing. This is probably some of the worst garbage I can possibly make, besides writing the word Shit on a piece of paper in shit. Sorry though. I really am.
Oh one last thing...I have a surprise coming that people should look forward too... :3
REVIEWS!:
caamds189: Little smartass ain't you? But I'm glad you liked the chapter! (Also the IP isn't "Is as follows")

monstercai12: ...I feel so bad now for making a shit chapter...
marfralle: ...*flop*...why do you guys have to write nice things to make me feel bad after releasing a shit chapter? Wait...then that's my fault...fuck...please bear with me though, this was one I hated writing...Also for a Brazilian, you're English is fine, better than some people who review *cough cough Guest cough cough* But in all honesty, when i read what you wrote, my face lit up and I danced. I got up and danced. Not joking. Not one bit.
ANYWAY READ...(I'm sorry...)
Shyvana and Jarvan walked back to the resort, hand in hand, the look in their eyes that of star crossed lovers, recently made. Ahri had already left the scene to upload the photos to the internet. It would cause some commotion in Demacia, but it would be more interesting if the news spread to all corners of Runtera as soon as possible.
About half way to the resort, Jarvan let go of her hand, making her look at him confused. All of a sudden she was literally swept off her feet, letting a small but adorable squeak.
Her face went pink at the squeak. "W-what are you-?"
"I'm just going to carry you, why?" Jarvan smiled at her. "Is that a problem?"
Her face went red, still not used to the whole, couple, idea. She looked away before nodding her head and snuggling against his chest. "It's fine…don't worry about it…but if you drop me," she looked up, giving him a grin. "I'll kick your teeth in."
"Then I better not drop you," he said, pulling her against his chest.
She blushed but said nothing, enjoying his warmth, even if she had plenty by herself.
They walked like this back to the resort before she was set down in the lobby, smiling at him. "That was fun!"
He smiled at her and kissed her softly. "Glad you liked it. Well…I guess we should go to bed," Jarvan said, although he was reluctant to leave her side so quickly.
"Mhmm…" Shyvana said, the two of them just standing there before Jarvan finally went to his room. He smiled at her before going into his room.
Shyvana just stood there for a bit longer, a bit dazed. She was so spaced out, she didn't notice or hear the footsteps creeping up behind her.
Ahri then pounced on her from behind. Ahri had been quick to upload and had borrowed the computer from the manager after some…persuasion. (Insert whatever you want here. I'll leave it to your imagination for now. At the end, you can see what I thought she would do.)
"Hey Shyvana!" she said, giggiling. "Did you enjoy the fireworks?"
"Wha-? Ahri?!" Shyvana squeaked, whirling around and hitting her friend's head with her own.
Ahri let go of her and rubbed her sore head, whimpering pitifully. "Ow…meanie Shyvana…"
"Sorry Ahri, you just caught me off guard," Shyvana said, her cheeks slightly flushed as she helped Ahri up. She had been lost in her thoughts of herself and Jarvan, so Ahri coming to snap her out of that caught her off guard to say the least.
"How come you're still awake?" Shyvana asked. "How come you're not in my bed?"
Ahri giggled at how wrong that sounded. "Oh…no reason," she said, humming happily. She gave a look that made Shyvana want to ask…
"Okay, what is it? Tell me."
"Oh I'm sure you don't want to know," Ahri said teasingly.
"Just tell me," Shyvana groaned, not sure if she would regret this. What? Did she catch Yasuo and Riven in bed? Did she catch Lux doing something to Garen? What's so juicy?
Ahri hopped forward and turned on the camera, flipping through some questionable photos of other champions and some that were plain stupid, for example, Lux eating a corndog and bent over with Darius in front of her, so it looked like, well, you know.
Ahri then went to the photos she wanted. She had maybe 100 photos of just the two of them with the fireworks behind them, lots of them with the two of them kissing.
Shyvana's face gradually got more and more red as she was shown more and more pictures. As she saw more pictures, Ahri's grin grew wider and wider as she savored her reaction and how her face looked.
"W-w-w-wha? H-h-h-how?" she stammered out.
"Heh heh…" Ahri then held up the letter Shyvana had received, and the note she had written for Jarvan. "Does this handwriting…look the same to you?"
The note read: Go to the cliff that will overlook the fireworks once you see Shyvana leave the building. Trust me! –Ahri.
"You set it all up!" Shyvana nearly yelled at her.
"Yup yup!" Ahri said cheerfully. "It was great to watch, especially how surprisingly submissive you can be!"
Shyvana slammed her hand on her mouth, silencing her, but not even that could keep Shyvana from being able to tell how cheeky Ahri was about the situation.
She finally released her mouth, Ahri grinning giddily at her, tails made into one giant one that swayed side to side. "So what do you want?" Shyvana asked, making Ahri tilt her head in confusion.
"Huh?"
"What do you want? Isn't that, like, blackmail material?" Shyvana asked, pointing to the camera.
"The pictures?" If Ahri shook her head any harder, her head might have flown off. "No, no, no, nothing that evil…" She gave her a teasing grin. "And if I were to use it as blackmail, why would I have already uploaded it to Twitbook (Sorry, had to make a shitty mixed version again cause I felt like it XD FTW). So yah know…might want to check your page soon."
"WHAT?!" Shyvana screamed near the top of her lungs. She reached out and began shaking her friend who she was contemplating on killing. "WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?!"
"Urk~!" Ahri just said, slapping Shyvana's arm as she fought for air.
"Oh…oops," Shyyvana said, releasing her neck. "Sorry."
"Are you trying to kill me?" Ahri asked, panting for air.
"Maybe, still thinking about it…" Shyvana said honestly. "Now tell me, why did you do that?"
"Well you didn't let me finish. I uploaded the photos, put them on the official Institute page, put it on your page, Jarvan's page, my page, and sent them to every single person in private messages. You should get it yourself soon enough. Where's your phone?"
"In our room."
"Oh, well, check your messages!" Ahri said with a grin. "Oh and why did I do it?" she was silent as she thought for a moment before grinning. "It seemed like a fun idea!"
Shyvana began throttling her again, twice as hard as before. "WHY THE HELL WOULD IT SEEM LIKE A FUN IDEA?!"
Once Shyvana let go of Ahri, circles in her eyes and little tropical birds flying around her head, she said, "Urk…um…just did? I was enjoying your reactions after all…" she raised her hands in front of her in a protective manner.
"Ugh," Shyvana said as she turned away. "So you just did it for the shits and giggles?"
"Pretty much!"
Shyvana groaned, flopping into the nearest comfy chair.
"Oh don't look so glum," Ahri said cheerfully. "I mean, everyone knew this would happen sooner or later!"
"Which part? The part where you upload everything?" Shyvana said, still despairing for her reputation.
"Um…heh heh, no, not that part, the part where you and Jarvan become a couple! Speaking of which…Nami owes me twenty bucks now…" Ahri said as she thought.
"Were you guys betting on us?" Shyvana asked, somewhat enraged but also finding it hilarious.
"…I said that aloud didn't I?" Shyvana nodded. "Ah, well, kinda…I ran the whole thing thought. Don't worry, most of us were betting on you and him becoming an item during this trip."
"But didn't you set it all up? Isn't that cheating?" Shyvana asked, smiling at her friend.
Ahri laughed nervously. "Ah….well…you see…they don't have to know about that little bit of information, right…?" Ahri said, looking at Shyvana hopefully.
Shyvana leaned back and gave her a cocky smile. "I want 50% of all money made off of myself and Jarvan from your little bet. No negotiating."
"Ah…but I…" Ahri's ears flopped down and she just nodded. "Fine…you win…"
"Thanks," Shyvana said, cheering back up. That was her payback for the pictures. "Anyway, we should go to sleep. Tomorrow's that day right?"
"Mhmm," Ahri said, heading with Shyvana to their room.
The next day was bright and sunny, a nice hot 85 degree Fahrenheit with a soft sea breeze on the beach. Also on the beach there were a lot of poles in the ground. Why? Well to hold up the netting for volleyball nets!
All of the champions were gathering there, and of course, they were talking about what they had gotten last night. The pictures sent by Ahri. Shyvana herself just hovered at Jarvan's side, hands behind her back and a large blush on her face. Jarvan just stood there, slightly flushed, trying not to think too much about it.
Eventually he did bring it up. "So…Ahri?"
"Mhmm," was all Shyvana said.
"I figured," he said with a small sigh. "I woke up thanks to Garen shaking me, asking why I had stolen his…"girl"," he said, doing air quotes.
Shyvana chuckled softly, the tension easing out of her body. It felt good to laugh. "Really? He was serious about that?"
Jarvan looked at her, confused. "Serious about what?"
"He was hitting on me a while ago, I honestly thought he was joking, but I guess it doesn't matter anymore, does it?" she asked, leaning against him gently.
"Ah…yeah…" Jarvan said, his face slightly flushed. Damn…she looks beautiful, he thought, looking down at her fiery red hair. "Hey Shyvana?"
"Yeah?"
"…People are staring you know?" he said softly.
She blushed and stopped leaning on him, staring off to the sea. "Ah… um… yeah…sorry…"
"Don't worry," he said, looking at her flushed face and smiling. "It's not your fault, if anything it's her fault."
Right then Ahri pounced on the two of them from behind, grinning and laughing. "Hey guys! What's up?"
They both jumped and whirled around. "Ahri!"
Jarvan glared at her. "You know you cause a lot of problems right?"
"Mhmm! But they're all fun problems you know!" she said as she laughed.
Shyvana glared at her. "I'm going to kill you before this trip is over, you know that right?"
"Now now, don't be like that," she said as she laughed, her tails swaying happily. "Are you two going to team up for the volleyball tournament?"
"We make our teams?" Shyvana asked.
Ahri just looked at Jarvan with a 'really?' look. "Did you explain nothing?"
"No, not really," he said, smiling a little before turning to Shyvana. "It's nothing much really. Everyone chooses a partner to play with, and they do it tournament style. To choose who goes against whom first, we pick random numbers from Twisted's hat. 1 and 2 go against each other, 3 and 4, and so on and so forth. Then we just play until we have two champions."
"And the rewards are great!" Ahri said, bouncing forward with her tails swaying. "First place gets an all paid another week vacation on a private island that can be redeemed next year. Second place gets a trip to a five star restaurant and a stay at a…hmm…special hotel," she said with a suggestive wink.* "And third place," she continued. "Is a good bit of cash, 50,000$ if I remember right." She said with a large grin. "I'm shooting for second place! Or maybe first! Who knows?" She looked at the two of them expectantly. "So, who are you guys partnering with?"
Shyvana and Jarvan looked at each other, both shrugging in union. "Who knows, maybe Shyvana/Jarvan," they said together, before looking at each and breaking into laughter.
"So…partners?" Shyvana asked as she laughed with him.
"Sure." He said as they laughed, both of them falling over and just laughing in the sand.
Ahri just watched the scene with a grin. "Oh and Shyvana?"
"Yeah?" she said in between gasps for air.
"Don't worry about your reputation," she said with a wink. "Everyone will forget about it by today."
Shyvana sat up, wiping away tears of laughter. "Ah…why do you say that?"
Ahri just gave her a wink. "You'll see soon enough," she said, hoping away to Sona, her partner for the competition since Thresh was at the Isles, and I quote, "Polishing his skills."
Shyvana sat up and looked down at Jarvan. "Should we get going?"
"Sure," he said as he hopped up after taking a hand she offered him. They walked over to the group of huddled champions that surrounded TF.
Twisted held his hat out, bouncing it up and down to shuffle the pieces of paper. "Let lady luck smile," he said with a grin, before offering his hat to the first group, Pantheon and Leona. They reached in and got #5. Everyone went in their pairs one after another until everyone had a number from 1 to 40.**
Shyvana and Jarvan were number 10, so they had a bit of a wait before going against #9, so they sat on the bleachers and enjoyed the show.
"The setup is simple," Twisted said, sitting out of the game to make some profit off of the contestants sitting out and waiting for their turn, or for those who finish. He had a food stand that he also ran, right next to a small lottery stand that was all connected to the announcer's box. "Players 1 and 2 play on field one. 3 and 4 on field 2, so on and so forth. We'll constantly keep on replacing teams on the four field available, so keep an eye on what's going on!"
A cheer rose from the assembled crowd as TF tilted his hat to hide his face from the sun. "I'll be holding a lottery as well. You can bet just anything from $10 to $1,000 on whoever you think will win. If you win, you get twice the money you offered!" He knew most would lose. "The betting also closes after the first rounds, so nobody can get better chances."
A soft groan went up. They knew his betting streak and that he was an iffy person to deal with to say the least. "Last thing is food! If you need any, come up here and I'll server you for a price! I also have drinks…now to the game!" He pulled out a clipboard and coughed to get their attention.
"First we have…Annie and Amumu versus…Karma and Lee Sin…"
"Oh that should be interesting," Shyvana mused, sitting with Jarvan on a bench.
Jarvan blinked at her. "Why do you say that? Wouldn't Karma and Lee just kick their asses?"
Shyvana shook her head. "Not necessarily."
"On the second court, we have Zed and Syndra versus Warwick and Singed!"
They walked to each other, Syndra even shaking the other player's hands. "May the best Noxian win." She had even become a bit more human.
"On the third court! Pantheon and Leona, our champions from last year versus… oh this is an interesting combination…" Twisted muttered. "Well, let's see what Fate will say! Vladimir the Crimson Reaper and Swain, the Noxian Strategist!"
"That is odd," Jarvan said.
"Why's that?" Shyvana asked, leaning against him despite the heat.
"well…Vlad doesn't like the sun…I wonder what kind of SPF he has to use…"
"Probably something high, like SPF 1,000 or something specially made for him." On the bench where Vlad had been talking with Swain, the bottle said, SPF 1000, specially made for vampires.
"And on the last field we had Ahri and Sona," the two girls waved to the gathered champions. "Versus Riven and…wow…Zac!" The green blob man came out, holding the umbrella over his head to keep the sun off him. "He does come out in the sun! I thought he might be part Vlad for a while," he said with a small chuckle, earning a few grins and a few laughs.
Zac gave a small grin as he walked alongside Riven. "Are you sure? I'm not that good at this, Yasuo would have been a better choice."
Riven just snorted in disgust, making Zac ask a very dangerous question. "Did you two get into an argument or something?"
"I'll tell you about it later," she said, as she got ready to kick some major ass.
Shyvana and Jarvan just relaxed as they watched the four different matches. Shyvana was more focused on the one with Annie. Suddenly she turned to Jarvan and stuck out her hand.
Maybe Twisted's rubbing off on me, even though this is one of the few times I've seen him outside the Institute. "Wanna make a bet?'
Jarvan looked at her, curious. "About one of the matches?"
"Yeah," she pointed at Aniie and Amumu. "I'm betting they'll win here. I bet $20."
"I bet that Karma and Lee Sin will, I have faith in them."
Lo and behold, Shyvana was right. The two shorties won, so Jarvan ended up grumbling about not having shaken on it.
Shyvana leaned in and grinned. "Don't be a bad sport, you lost, I won, end of discussion."
"Yeah, yeah, just don't rub it in my face, okay?" he grumbled, getting up. "Now that those two are done, it's our turn!"
"Alright!" Shyvaan said, hoping up and walking out to the sand with him. "Who are we playing against?"
When she got there, she couldn't believe her luck. It was boyfriend and girlfriend, Shyvana and Jarvan, versus the brothers of Noxus, Draven and Darius.
"Well, well, well," Draven said, licking his hand to slick back his hair as he walked around in a tight speedo. "You should be grateful you get to lose to the great and all powerful Draven…oh and his brother of course."
Darius meanwhile just groaned at his idiot brother. "Jarvan?"
"yes?" the prince said, surprised.
"Please end this quickly," he begged.
Caught off guard by the request, Jarvan could only nod. A noxian would never ask for help usually, especially not from Demacia's crowned prince.
"Oh it'll be over quick, cause Draven would have won!" he said cockily, only making Shyvana and Jarvan roll their eyes.
Poor Darius, they both thought, before they went to the center. They flipped a coin, Jarvan calling heads in mid air. He got it right, so their team got to do the first serve.
Jarvan went to the back to serve, while Shyvana went to the front. He launched it high into the air, the sun shining off it' surface for a moment, before he launched it in between Darius and Draven.
Darius was closer to it by a good foot, so he began walking to it backwards, raising his hand to hit it-only to run into Draven who was trying to hit it at the same time.
With some cursing, the two of them fell with Draven on top. "What the hell brother!" eh said, standing up. "Draven obviously had that! You should just-" he was cut off as the ball came down and slammed into the back of his head, knocking him to the ground, face in the sand.
Darius stood up with a groan and looked at his brother and sighed. He reached down and lifted him by his precious hair, setting him on his feet. "Stop being an embarrassment." He pointed to the left half. "You get that half of the court," he said. "I get the other half, does that make sense to you?"
Draven nodded a few times before grinning. "Of course! Draven is Draven, and a badass as Draven is, he is also smart!"
"Let's see about that," Darius muttered, as Jarvan got ready to serve. "Here it comes!"
The ball went flying to Darius, but Draven ran over and hit it none the less. Shyvana hopped up and spiked it over to where Draven should have been, turning the score from 1-0 to 2-0.
"Draven…?" Darius asked, teeth clenched. "Did you do what I asked you to do?"
"Hm?" Draven looked at him with a cocky grin. "Draven is Draven, all of the action belongs to Draven, Draven just can't sit out!"
"THAT'S THE POINT!" Darius yelled, hitting his brother in the back of the head before sighing. At least this will end quickly, he thought.
Jarvan and Shyvana were grinning though. It was fun to watch the two Noxians bicker. "You guys ready?" Jarvan called out, smiling now.
Not waiting for an answer, he reeled back and let loose, sending the ball flying to Draven. He bounced it back, so Shyvana hit it to Darius. Darius got ready to swing but Draven hopped in front of him, making him growl in annoyance.
"This is Draven's party!" Dravne said as he sent it flying, trying to spike it. Shyvana blocked it though, sending it into the air which Jarvan then spiked to score them another point.
The game continued like this until Shyvana and Jarvan won, 15-0, a pissed off Draven muttering to himself about his brother sucking while Darius stomped off to go cool his head somewhere else.
Shyvana and Jarvan walked back, holding hands and smiling as they sat down next to Ahri and Sona who had gone and gotten ice cream.
"Nice win you two," Ahri said, Sona nodding along. "Although it didn't look that hard. When you play Gangplank and Miss Fortune next, you'll have more competition."
They sat around and chatted for the rest of the matches, and soon enough, all of the preliminaries were done. TF sat, clinking golden coins with a large grin on his face as he wrote down the last bit of information on a clipboard.
"And the beginning of the matches are done!" he said, firing a card into the air that exploded in a bright red. "We'll have an hour of a break, then continue on the second round!" He pointed to the resort. "The resort has the buffet open for us!"
The champions began to go herd over there, all of them either hungry or thirsty and not willing to pay Fate's twisted prices.
After a quick lunch of sandwiches, they went back to the stretch of beach marked for their game. Shyvana and Jarvan went onto the court, opposite of Gangplank and MF.
"Sorry girl," MF said with a grin. "That money is as good as our's!"
"That's what you think," Shyvana said with a grin as she and MF went to the middle of the court to do the coin toss. MF won, so Gangplank went to the back to serve.
They started their match, bouncing it back and forth for a while before Twisted turned on the mic he had. "Forgot to mention, anything now goes! Kicking the ball counts, powers count, it's all fair is love and volleyball!" he said before getting over to work at his stands.
Shyvana grinned. Awesome! She did a partial transformation, growing wings out of her shoulder blades with her crimson scales on them, and her tail grew out of right above where her bathing suit was. She grinned at the other two as she flew up and smacked the ball down, knocking it a foot into the sand with the strength of her spike.
"Yes!" she said, turning around and high hiving Jarven.
"Well if anything goes…" Gangplank said, as he took out his cannon the sidelines. He always had his gun on hi. "Then 'is 'ought to be fine too right?"
He loaded the ball into it and sent it flying over the net, only to have in continue flying until it disappeared into the sky.
Everyone just watched it, not sure what to say as Riven came down with a new ball, handing it to Shyvana. "Um…your serve…"
"Thanks." She tilted her arm back, and sent the ball flying straight into the sky. Everyone's eyes followed the ball as she flew after it, flapping her crimson wings. Once she was at the same level as it, she slammed it down at the two champions below her.
It went whooshing down, spinning hard as it went soaring down, crashing into the ground and kicking up a ton of sand. Shyvana flew down, grinning triumphantly.
"Do you guys give up?" She asked, grinning cockily. Mf groaned and raised a white flag that popped out of one of her guns, Gangplank doing the same.
The game continued and continued. They defeated Annie's team, and Pantheon's team, until soon enough it was them, versus, surprisingly, Ahri and Sona.
"Do you guys want to surrender right off the bat? I won't go easy on you," Shyvana said, flapping her wings.
"Bring it," Ahri said, walking to the middle to meet Shyvana. "We're bringing our A-Game too so you know."
Shyvana and Jarvan got the first serve, so Shy passed the ball to Jarvan. "You serve."
"Alright," he said as he leaned back and launched it. Sona hit it back, smiling softly. Most of the guys sitting on the sidelines were enjoying the show. Ahri and Shyvana were serious about winning though, and Sona was more oN JArvan's level. They were playing for fun.
Shyvana flew over to try to hit the ball, but Ahri sent a pink spirit ball in the shape of a heart at her. Shyvana's eyes went wide right before it hit her. A single thought went through her head. "Oh…fuck…" She felt the charm hit, dazing her and putting her under Ahri's control for a moment.
"Heh heh…sit down," she ordered, making Shyvana land in the ground for a good 15 seconds, long enough for the ball to fall.
Ahri just grinned as Shyvana snapped herself out of it, glaring and growling at Ahri. "Oh you've done it now!" she swore.
Ahri took the ball and launched it over the net, Jarvan hitting it back, then Sona. Shyvana slammed her fist into it, sending it flying straight to Ahri. It hit her in the face and went flying straight up, landing within the boundries.
"Wasn't that a bit far?" Jarvan asked Shyvana who was laughing like an evil villain while Sona rushed to Ahri's side.
"Nah, it's fine," Shyvana said dismissively. "She'll be fine."
Ahri sat up with Son'a help, the fur on her ears and tails bristiling in indignation. "Oh it's payback time!"
They continued like this, battiling each other in what was almost a life or death game, while Jarvan and Sona just tried to keep them from running over there and knocking each other out.
It was 14-14, neck and neck, and Ahri sent the ball flying high, straight to Jarvan.
"Hey Jarvan~" Ahri called out, getting everyone's attention. She then reached around a confused Sona before jerking her top down, making her blush a bright red and squirm. She would have squealed if it wasn't for the fact she was mute.
It had the desired effect though, and Jarvan's eyes stayed glued to her as Ahri made her squirm, along with every other guy, and some girls.
The ball landed in the sand with a plop, and Ahri released a flustered Sona who quickly turned away from the crowd to fix her clothes. She looked up at Ahri tears in the corners of her eyes which she just wiped away.
"Don't be like that! We won!" Ahri said cheerfully, leaving Sona flustered and more than pissed off with her friend. She wasn't one to stay made, not even after something that bad, and it quickly left her mind.
Shyvana hit Jarvan in the back of the head before storming off. "…pig…" she muttered.
Jarvan looked after her, feeling bad. I'll make it up to her soon, he thought to himself. There was no ceremony with getting the prizes. There were enough of those in the Institute. Twisted just called them up one at a time. Two teams got third place and got their money, one of them being Annie's, neither of them not sure what to do with the money. Jarvan went up and got the dinner deal, while Ahri and Sona got up to get the trip.
Ahri then handed her ticket to Sona. "Here ya go!"
Sona looked confused, so Ahri just grinned. "For Morde!"
She smiled in thanks, before looking confused as Ahri rubbed the back of her head, embarrassed. "And…cause I feel bad for doing what I did on the field, sorry."
She smiled and waved her hand, as if saying it didn't matter.
Ahri grinned with her as the champions began moving back to the resort, ready to catch some zzzs.
