I am so, so sorry guys, but life's been a real b*** for some time (I lost 3 oneshots, including my personal favourite, had trouble with school, etc.), so I didn't update for really long. I hope to make up for it by posting daily now... hope it works out. Love you all, guys AND your reviews... :D
Still for akirasatsuna, even though I didn't make it about Ino and Sakura… sorry for that… I decided to make one of the oneshots a NejiTen for ya…
From the tree-branches, Kakashi discovered, life could be viewed at the most interesting angles.
Right now he was looking down on the Konoha, watching the neat streets that looked like bright lines crossing the village's layout like a spider's web.
There were the people as well, of course.
In Konoha especially, this is an aspect that shouldn't be overlooked.
Right below him was Sakura, one of his precious little students, with her blonde-headed Yamanaka friend, for example.
Given Sakura's hair color, they were hard to overlook, although it wasn't hard to overhear the two.
"Pig!" Sakura was yelling.
"Forehead!" the girl was snapping back.
Oh yes, here they were, fearless kunoichi that walked that thin line between life and death day by day.
Bickering like little kids.
Another yell was heard and both of the girls grabbed their kunai, their backs slamming together as they moved into defensive position on reflex.
And an orange-clad kid burst out of nearby bushes.
"Naruto!" Sakura yelled.
"Idiot!" the girl – her name was… Ino? Yeah, Ino. – yelled as well.
And with a smile, Kakashi noticed another line Konoha possessed.
The thin line between love and hate Naruto kept tiptoeing on.
Because it was easy to hate him, but also incredibly hard not to love him.
Even Sasuke found this line tricky.
Speaking about Sasuke…
He had lines of his own, but right now the most prominent one was the one Kakashi feared that Orochimaru will have him pass.
The line that separates him from the awaiting abyss, ready to swallow him whole.
Seeing the lines was so easy from his perch in the trees.
With a sigh and a small smile only those knowing have, he looked up into the skies.
Seems like shinobi life is all about being on a line, after all.
Stupid, I know.
