Entry no. 25 - Seeing red
Rejoice, my darlings, for I AM BACK AGAIN! I have been neglecting you guys so much lately... I am so sorry! High school is SO HARD! Sorry for ranting again. I hope I will be neglecting you less now that summer break will be coming soon. (in a WEEK! Hooray!) So... here's the promised omake for Lost and Found, I tried pretty hard, that's why it is so bad. And then there comes yet another of my oneshots. I sort of like this one, really.
Omake for Lost and Found
... (read the beginning of Lost and Found up to the second time Sakura says "Where are you", then the omake starts.
"Where are you," she repeated.
Where is the Sasuke I know?
She put a hand on his heart. He was somewhere there, she knew it. Somewhere deep down.
His mouth moved as he breathed in through it.
She studied his blank eyes silently.
He took another breath.
She pressed a kiss to his lips. It was clumsy, desperate.
And one-sided.
She didn't find the strength to look in his eyes anymore. She wrapped her arms around him, pressing his cold body to hers.
So cold; so perfect. Her porcelain doll. So beautiful.
"Talk to me."
She wanted to hear his voice again. No matter what he had to say to her. It didn't matter if he told her he loved her or if he said she's annoying. She just wanted him back.
"Sasuke."
She closed her eyes and pressed her lips against his again.
"Please."
She let the last kiss linger.
"I miss you," she mumbled against his lips. "I love you. I always did. No matter what you did to us."
She slowly opened her eyes to find his sparkling with welled-up tears.
Her heart jumping in her chest, she grabbed his face in her hands. "Sasuke..." she blurted out.
Pain. Immense pain gleamed in those two chunks of cold obsidian.
"Sasuke."
Tears spilled from his left eye.
"I love you. I always did. We all love you. I promise. Please, Sasuke."
She knew she didn't make sense. She just wanted him so much to understand. To know that he doesn't have to be afraid of what's outside his shell.
"I don't care what you did. And the others forgave you. It's been so long, no one even remembers."
Tears spilled from the right eye as well.
She kissed the tears away, then kissed his forehead, his chin, before kissing him on the lips again.
"We all love you, Sasuke. Please, talk to me."
His mouth moved under hers, but no sound came out of them.
"Please," she said again and again.
"I..." was the weak, raspy sound that came out of Sasuke's throat, the first sound he made in years.
Sakura closed her eyes tightly and she felt tears staining her cheek.
"Sasuke," she breathed out.
"Yo... you're..." she felt his chin quiver. "Warm."
She moved back from him, looking into his pained, confused eyes and at his tear-streaked cheeks. She started to caress his face.
"And you're so cold," she replied weakly. "Sasuke."
He spoke just when her palm brushed over his lips, his breath tickling her skin.
"Sakura," he rasped out. "You're so warm."
She breathed out, then collapsed onto Sasuke's clean white bed, sobbing.
He was back. She found him.
"Sakura..."
She looked up at him. He was still sitting, looking at her with confused eyes. She barely saw him through her tears.
No matter how little of him was now there, in the body of her beloved, it was still Sasuke. His fragment, a mere mirage of him on the perfect, porcelain face.
But she could make this mirage into reality. She could bring him back whole, she knew it now. Sasuke will come back to them. Come back to her.
She reached out with a hand. He stared at it, then his hand moved slightly.
He was caged in his own body, in that catatonic piece of meat. But she was getting through now.
Once, years ago, he was lost. And now he could be found again.
She closed her eyes, repressed emotions, pain, sadness, elation, despair, happines, all washing over her in one great torrent.
She felt a cold hand slipping into hers.
Seeing Red
KakaSaku. AU. (I should start writing canon-friendly stuff. It's boring to write AU so much...) Oh, and Psycho!Sasuke. I luv this Sasuke.
Luff ya guyz! (I'm hyped up, sorry.)
Rage is a horrifying thing.
It's like a hungry beast, eating away every single drop of sense you have.
Until all you have is the feeling.
It's a thing to be feared, to be avoided.
Shinobi should never give in to rage.
It never ends well.
He knew all this.
He was supposed to stay back, his skills were supposed to be saved for the time they reached the mastermind, not wasted on the minions.
She was supposed to clear the way for him.
But back then, when they planned this attack, there were two things they underestimated.
First was the strength of their advanced forces. That's why now it was just the two of them, cutting their way through enemy territory like thunder, bringing havoc where they were and leaving desolation behind.
And the second were the minions themselves.
They expected Orochimaru to be a cocky bastard like he presented himself to be, and underestimate them. But it was revealed that he was a smart cocky bastard. Seems like the elders weren't right in making Tsunade sit this one out. She wouldn't try to save her former teammate anyway
What they didn't expect at all, for some strange reason, was that one of the minions will be Sasuke.
It was obvious he will be there, but they omitted it anyway.
So that's why, when they rushed into a grand stone hall and there was Sasuke waiting for them, Sakura had to face him alone.
In the beginning, before the fight, she fared well, giving him a sharp warning to get out of her way he ignored, followed by a threat of beating the shit out of him until even Orochimaru won't recognize his pet, which Sasuke regarded simply with one of his smirks and a scoffing prompt to do her worst.
And then she launched and Kakashi had to stay back, his hands fisted with his knuckles white as he ignored the instincts burnt into him from when he was just a baby, only dodging stray hits and watching his two former students dance.
And it was a lot like a dance.
Sakura struck, Sasuke dodged. Sasuke struck, Sakura dodged.
He saw both of their mouths moving at times, Sakura's eyes blazing with an insane mixture of sadness and rage.
Sasuke's eyes were ablaze, too, but Kakashi couldn't quite recognize the emotion in them.
Was it... thrill?
Maybe.
Thrill of a hunt, perhaps.
Soon he found out he was wrong.
It was glee.
A vicious glee of predator toying around with his prey.
He had Sakura snap, roaring as he launched head-on.
Kakashi could almost see Sakura's vision turning red.
The son of a bitch.
Some emotions give you strength.
Rage was one of them.
But it also takes away the mind.
And thus Sakura's strength was of no help to her as Sasuke moved with a blinding speed.
He had her in a lock.
She couldn't move as he held her tightly against his body.
The son. Of. A. Bitch.
He knew she loved him; he had to know how torturing it must be for her to be so close to him.
He was telling her things Kakashi didn't even want to hear, forcing her to look into his eyes.
And the words Sasuke said cut deep, judging from the pained expression on Sakura's face and the tears welling in her eyes. Deeper than the blade of Sasuke's sword that was held against her side.
Kakashi was trembling, now.
Sasuke could have done anything. Betray the village, beat him to the goal of his mission, tell him things that hurt him.
But now he was doing the only thing Kakashi would never forgive him.
Harming Sakura.
His little Sakura.
And he went on, whispering to his former teammate, his eye flicking to Kakashi for a fraction of moment before he said one last thing to the pinkette, showing his teeth in a smile that would send chills down most of people's spines.
But not Kakashi's.
Sakura was crying now, her chin quavering as she sobbed, occasionally whispering a thing in response to Sasuke's words, tears streaming down her face.
Fuck the mission.
Fuck the future of the Nations.
Kakashi grabbed a kunai.
He was going to die.
As if she felt the rage rising in Kakashi, Sakura's face scrunched up at Sasuke's last words and she spat something hateful in return.
Sasuke smirked, pressing the blade even closer to Sakura's side.
And Kakashi launched.
Rage is a horrible thing that should be avoided.
A shinobi should never let it overpower him.
He had another task.
He knew all this.
But right now, Sakura was in the hands of this Sharingan-wielding bastard.
And he couldn't leave it that way.
She was in pain. She was crying.
It was a capital sin committed by the boy.
And there was him to punish him for it.
He was seeing red.
It looked like blood.
A kunai was pressed to a pale neck and a feral growl was let out.
"Let go."
I'm getting worse and worse in keeping to the themes... don't you think? I am thinking of using one of the prompts to write this from either Sakura or Sasuke's point of view... we would find out what he's telling her... ;P You wouldn't like it. (Okay, even I don't know what he was telling her.)
Peace, love and Akatsuki,
Moya.
