A/N: Thank you to all who are continuing to read this and those who give me the reviews I need to continue working with confidence. As it seems that I completely forgot to ass it in chapter one I'm going to clarify a few things about the nature of the story. This is an adventure/tragedy/romance story I couldn't fit all three so that's why it's here. The main shippings are RoadxAllen with a one-sided LenaleexAllen I might later change the adventure genre to romance but that time is not now. A side shipping will be TykixLulubell because I ship it but we won't see nearly as much of that. The big change will happen at (spoiler alert) the black order prison break in probably two chapters the rest will be completely new on to the chapter this takes place when Allen steps into the musicians room.

"Go idiot apprentice! Save the arc from falling apart I'm not dying here yet!" Cross yelled at Allen as he held the egg from completely downloading itself. Allen couldn't stay here he knew that he had finally grown strong enough to protect the ones he cared about with Crown Clown. He fell through the portal Timcanpy opened and he was blinded only momentarily. When his vision cleared he was floating through space or some form of the Ark. 'Only I can save it? What does he mean by that? Wait hadn't the Earl said something about the heart being transferred to the new ark?' many thoughts swam through his head but primarily one stood out. Why was only he able to control the Ark? Allen opened his eyes, Allen sat up from the couch he appeared on and looked around. He was in a white room with a white table, piano, and two chairs in the corner, and the couch he was sitting on. Everything was white but the mirror to his side.

Standing up, "Is this inside the ark?" He questioned himself. Not expecting an answer his eyes widened when he heard another voice but not any voice it was that voice. "This is the secret room of the 14th which not even the Earl knows about. It is a secret only known to the 14th." Looking to his left Allen saw what he feared. That face, that smile, the one in his dreams always telling him he was weak, telling him it could make him so much more than he was. "You're ..." There was no doubt it was him but it looked slightly different it didn't look like him anymore it had nothing but white eyes and a almost insane smile and he wore a white trench coat with a black bow around his neck.

It raised it's hand pointing to the reflected Piano with inverted key colors. "My key …" Allen looked to the piano in his own room "Key?" Timcanpy sat where the sheet music would go slowly flapping his wings as if he was also waiting on Allen. "Timcanpy." Allen said wondering what exactly the golem was waiting for. "My Timcanpy." The voice replied his anger rising Allen turned to it "Timcanpy is my master's, not yours." The 14th, Allen assumed, looked at him saying only "Timcanpy. Allen. With two, the player's license was given."

"Player?" Allen went into thought shocked to remember the Earl saying that the Player had given his master, Cross, the license. Who was the Player, was he the collaborating with the 14th, were they one in the same? "Player. The Earl said something about it too." He walked towards the mirror, the fourteenth mirroring his actions, until they were face to face. "What is the Player? Who are you? Are you the 14th? Why me?" All the questions had accumulated and came bursting forth. This image had to have all the answers it was a link to something but it stood there. Allen thought it was ignoring him until he himself appeared over the image of the 14th. He reached for it but remembered the last time he did in his dream when it reached out and grabbed him. Yanking his hand back and stepping away he looked at his hand to be sure it wasn't harmed but everything seemed just as it was. The image still not having moved stared at him with its unnerving smile. 'What is this bad feeling?'That question was answered all too soon as he could've sworn he went deaf in one due to Cross screaming through his earpiece. "Idiot apprentice!"

"Master …" Allen said curled up on the floor holding his ear in pain. "Hurry up and stop the download! You've reached the room." Allen got up off the floor his ear still ringing and confirming he was okay to Lenalee "Master what is this room?" But instead of an answer he got another question back "Is there a piano?" Allen was confused by the odd question and a huh escaped his mouth "There's no time, hurry up and just answer!"

"Er, yes, there is." Allen confirmed looking toward the instrument across the room. "Good, play it." Yet another confused huh came from Allen's mouth "The piano can move the ark."

"This piano?"

"The Earl is nearly finished. So… That piano is the Heart to control the Ark. Tim has the music." Well that clears up why Tim is here but not how only he can control the Ark if it has music sheets. "Master I've never played a piano in my life." Among all the things Cross had made him done play piano wasn't one of them and now he expected it. Allen stared at the piano completely dumbfounded. "I don't know how to read the music! I can't control this ark!" Allen exclaimed 'What a surprise yet another thing I can't do' But his thoughts were interrupted again as Cross made sure he was deaf "I said you can do it! You have the license!" The license!? He had it!? He thought the Earl had meant Cross or maybe the Earl was mistaken. "License? But …" He was interrupted by Lenalee before he could say more.

"Allen. I don't know the details, but the general says that you can do it, Allen. So I think you can too! You can control the Ark, Allen! We came to Edo to help the general with his mission. If we don't do it, the beliefs of all those people who let us come here…" Allen remembered those he had lost already. Lavi, Kanda, Chaoji, Crowley. All dead because he had failed to protect them because he had failed his promise to never let his friends die when he could stop it. "You can play it. No, only you can play it. Understand? If you can play it-" Cross commented but was cut off as the connection started to drop. "Master. Master!" Allen cried as he lost the signal. Left alone in the room with the 14th and the piano Allen decided he must play it to save what he has left. 'I can't fail now like I did so many times before. I won't fail!'

Allen stood and walked to the piano with Tim waiting on it. "Can I play it? But I have to." The fourteenth who also stood at his piano turned saying "Allen will play. It's Allen's music." Timcanpy opened his mouth letting out a projection of the music but it was no sheet. It was … The symbol of Mana surrounded by the designs he and Mana had created when he was just a boy. "This is …!" Allen stopped he could feel it the Ark was done being transferred, he could feel the pain of those fighting below as they watched the white Ark disappear. Had he failed again? Had he disappointed everyone until his bitter end? But there was one problem, he was still here. "The secret room of the 14th that not even the Earl knows about. If one does not know one cannot download." The image of the fourteenth explained as if it had read his mind. But Allen wasn't concerned with that, the mark before him took priority "Why? Why is this here? Why is this mark here?" Allen couldn't even comprehend it, why were the symbols he learned from Mana here, Mana had no part in this. "It is the song." The image continued "The melody is within you, Allen."

Allen looked at the fourteenth but saw himself in the reflection his curse mark had grown it was more decorated and his eye was activated. His reflection quickly changed back to the Fourteenth and Allen turned back to the piano and, his hands moving on their own, he started to play it. "My hands are moving." The symbols around the mark began to rotate as well "Are these the lyrics to the melody?" He stopped at the word melody it was what Mana had called their alphabet. "The melody …No!"

(Soshite bouya wa nemuri ni tsuita)
Among the grey ashes in the flames shining...

Allen gripped his head as if in pain. "Who is singing inside my head?" It was a woman's voice he didn't recognize it but it was beautiful the song was truly melodic as if composed by angels.

(ikizuku hai no naka no honoo, hitotsu, futatsu to ukabu fukurami itoshii yokogao)
Surfaces numerous of your faces

Allen's mind wandered to all of his failures all the points of his life that he had failed to protect the things he thought precious to him.

(daichi ni taruru ikusen no yume, yume) A thousand dreams trickle back to the earth

The first time when he couldn't save his best friend from becoming a demon. Someone he loved so much that maybe if he had just talked to him more or supported him better he could've saved the pain of having to be turned into something as cursed as a demon.

(Gin no hitomi no yuragu yoru ni)
On the night when the silver eyes were trembling, the shining you was born

When he couldn't stop the Earl from killing that demon damning their soul forever to an eternity of pain and agony And then again as Road did it.

(umare ochita kagayaku omae, ikuoku no toshitsuki ga)
Across millions of years, the prayers have already returned back to the earth

When he left Marshall Yeegar to only come back to him chained to a tree with his own Innocence. Being forced to leave him a mumbling madman left to die with no organs and no help at all.

(ikutsu inori wo tsuchi e kaesshitemo)
I will still continue to pray

When he made it just too late to see one of Kanda's friends crucified upside down with no heart and having to move on to find his master and not being able to help his friends find Marshall Tiedoll. (Watashi wa inori tsuzukeru douka konoko ni ai wo)
Please bestow upon this child your love

Not being able to save Suman and even though Lenalee had forgiven him he would never forgive himself for not keeping his promise to her to save Suman and to furthermore lose his Innocence to Tyki whom until recently thought his "white" form was his friend.

(tsunaida te ni kisu wo) Upon our joined hands, leave a gentle kiss

Lost in the song now Allen was absentmindedly singing along. His earpiece coming back to life breaking him out of the spell "Hurry up and start the Ark! Transmit your desires through the song!" Allen stopped his melody abruptly "My … Desires?" The 14th only confirming what Cross had repeated "Desires." And it struck Allen his last failure his most recent one. Losing all of his friends letting them die in vain. But this one he could fix, this one he could stop by playing the Ark. He could bring them all back and stop the download. Lavi, Kanda, Chaoji, Crowley he could save them with the power of the 14th he could save his friends lives. "My desires… The download… The Ark… My desires" He remembered what Komui had said about what he would do when they all got home, how there would be a huge celebration where everyone got what they wanted. He, Allen, wanted that and he had the power to do it with the help of the 14th he could win this war and save them all. Everyone he cared for. His hands began to move again and he continued the melody.

Allen played to his hearts ultimate desires and the Ark began to reform and his friends all began to come back. Road sat behind the couch out of sight and listened to Allen's sweet melody, she had made a doorway in here when he was distracted by Cross to make sure he was okay. She loved him too much to just let him die like this, so she had not downloaded the 14th's room that she knew the Earl didn't know of. She had to stifle her tears though the melody was so sweet and poured with emotion as if she was seeing the past of someone so lost in sadness. Sure the Earl played the same song to move the black Ark but the keys were darker, harsher, not filled with emotion as if someone stripped the soul from the tune. But Allen's was completely different filled with grace, higher keys, and a feeling that could never be forgotten. Love. It was beautiful to feel Allen's emotional ties to what he really cared for. A tear fell from her face and landed in her hands resting on her lap. She loved him but did he love her back and now knowing he was the 14th the Earl might even take him in with open arms, when the time is right.

She made her doorway again but right as she was about to step through Allen slammed the keys yelling "Ark don't disappear!" She smiled as the bright light engulfed the Ark he had finally woke up the 14th she turned and left leaving Allen in the fourteenth's room. She loved him for his bravery and his selflessness but she knew that he was falling ever so slightly into darkness. She blew a silent kiss to him and disappeared with her door.

Allen couldn't believe it the Ark had reformed before his eyes and he was now able to look wherever he wanted. He saw Kanda in Skinn's room, Crowley in the Library, Lenalee and Cross in the Egg's chamber (which he refused to let in even though they kept asking), and he saw Lavi in the tower but no matter how much he looked or how many angles he looked from he couldn't find Chaoji and when he asked Lavi if he was around Lavi just looked to the sky shaking his head. "So, in the end, even with the 14th, at my side I still failed to bring them all back" Allen thought about the last thing Chaoji said to him how he was a monster and one of the Noahs. Allen looked at the Fourteenth to which he accepted that he and him were one in the same "Why are you called the fourteenth" It's smile grew and Allen got that sinking feeling in his gut again. "We are the fourteenth Noah. The fourteenth member of the clan. The only one who can move the Ark and knows of this room." Allen could barely stand, his eyes widened at the word "we". Chaoji was right Allen was a Noah.

That would explain why he would be able to control this Ark, that would be why he just couldn't strike Road down when they first met, Why Tyki had let him live and why his heart had healed. He wasn't normal and the Order would reject him if they ever knew, he had to keep this quiet. No one could know. Not even his friends or Cross. What would he do if they ever found out? One slip and it would be all over. Allen would keep this secret until he dies or he's found out but by then it would be too late his decent started in that room.
