Entry no. 30: Colours
So, first: Sorry for not updating yesterday, I got stuck watching Shippuuden (Sasuke vs. Deidara - it was sooo cool.), hope you're not angry at me.. :D
But hey! We've got an annual thirtieth oneshot on a day when I found out I'm one of the two people with best grades in my class, so this timing is just perfect.. :P
Thanks Dark Sides for follow and favorite ;) and thanks a lot to LilyVampire for reviewing! I am glad I can update that regularily now, I hope I will write even more now and don't run out of oneshots... :D I am going to think very hard how to use your favourite pairings in my writing, even though I am probably not good at writing those dark pairings (I love so much). So look out for them okay? :D Oh, and I'll look if there will be some good word to use to expand the idea of the previous oneshot, and if it will be so I will be happy to write about that again.
Also, I'm thinking about making July my NarutoFanfictionMonth, with daily prompts and so... would you be interested?
But anyway, onto the oneshot, goddamnit. Sorry for having too many things on my mind.
Enjoy!
NejiHina. Sorry for the pairing (and incest if you count it as one), sorry for making Hinata stutter. But I wanted to make Colours a oneshot about rainbow and I couldn't get the two of them outta my mind.
"What do you see when you look at the rainbow?"
He looked up at her.
She smiled shyly at him.
Looking back at the bright strip of colour on the beautiful sky, he shrugged, letting the rainwater drop off his broad sleeve.
"I see a rainbow," he answered blandly.
She giggled at that, and a ghost of smile appeared on his lips.
"What do you see?" he asked.
She shrugged and sat down next to him, letting her legs dangle off the roof.
"I always recall things when I see rainbow," she said quietly.
He glanced at her. "What things?"
A dreamy smile appeared on her cute pale face as she watched the rainbow. "Like my seventh birthday, when you laughed at a joke I said. I recall this when I see light blue. Your kimono was light blue."
He raised his brows. "You've got some memory."
She glanced at him. "You don't laugh a lot. It's something to remember."
He shook his head.
"And when I see red, I remember how you found the rose on your windowsill. You questioned the whole household because of it."
He actually blushed a little at that. "You can't just creep into the Hyuuga Household and leave gifts."
"Do you know who did it?"
He looked at her, surprised. "You know it?"
A shy smile accompanied with a little blush adorned her face when she looked back at him for a flicker of second before looking away. "It was me," she whispered. "It was from Tenten, but I put it there."
There was a while of silence.
"And when I see brown, I always think of cinnamon rolls. I like them."
He bit back a chuckle, but allowed the corner of his mouth to quirk upwards a bit.
She blushed a bit more when she noticed it actually made him smile. Looking at him tentatively, she twirled a lock of long dark blue hair. "I generally th…" she blushed as she started stuttering. "think a l-lot of you… Neji-niisan. Wh-when I s-see the ra-rainbow."
He stared at her.
Was that a…
What was that?
Seeing his confused look, her hands flashed up to cover her mouth.
"I'm sorry."
She started scrambling to stand up, but he caught her wrist.
"Hinata-sama," he said firmly.
She watched him, clearly scared of what might happen.
He took in a deep breath.
"Do you… know why I don't think much of the rainbow?"
Now it was her turn to be confused. "N-no. W-why?"
It was hard to say it, but this was the right time.
"It's mostly just colours to me," he said. "And… the only colour that matters to me is dark blue."
And the most confusing about this is…
"It's the colour of your hair. I always loved it. Never seen a shade quite like yours before. Not even on the rainbow."
Now she went tomato-red, and he felt that it might just become his second favourite colour.
I wanted to continue, but I found this end cute.
Love, love and LOVE,
Moya...
