Entry no. 31: Exploration

As usual, there is some thanking to do, so...

Thanks xAngelic for faving my story and for the review! I love the way you can express your feelings in reviews that short... ;) And since it became more or less a habit of mine, would you like me to try to write a oneshot with your OTP?

And thanks to LilyVampire as well for the review! The pairing is not one of my favourites either, but when a plotbunny is biting you in the ear with something, you just gotta write what he wants you to... :P I already tried to write a NaruHina, but I failed quite epically... but you'll see soon... look out for a oneshot called "Tears". And to the NarutoFanFictionMonth... I might not be able to keep up both it and List of Sorrows, so I'm not sure what to do about it. Of course I could give those prompts to other writers (like you...) and just read what they write... -_- And yeah, I totally need more reviewers (hint hint to everyone else.).

Also, I haven't put in a disclaimer for a long time, so:

DISCLAIMER: Still don' own Naruto. Belongs to Masashi Kishimoto (hope I didn't spell it wrong) and whoever else it really belongs to. If I owned Naruto, you would cry a lot more times, not just when Chiyo died. (Yes, I cried. I liked Chiyo! And nah, I didn't cry for Sandaime.)

Sakura/Whoever. I wrote it with SasuSaku on mind, but pick whoever you want. Very much an AU.

When he woke up he immediately knew he wasn't alone.

For a person like him, it should have been an unsettling feeling.

But honestly, he felt… right.

Complete, with the warmth of another person's body at his side.

It was a feeling he possibly never felt before, so it felt like exploring an unknown territory to him as he basked in it.

He also felt the same thrill as touching upon unknown gave people.

For a moment, he wondered whether it will ruin the moment if he turns.

Not reaching a conclusion, he did anyway.

And he came face to face with an angel.

He never thought someone could look quite as peaceful as she did right now.

Her short, pink hair fell across her beautiful pale face, her eyes that were sparkling and full of fire yesterday sleeping beneath closed eyelids.

He reached out with his hand, laying it softly against her cheek and revelling in the way the colour of his skin went together with the colour of hers.

Admiring the fine features of her face, he promised himself to explore it thoroughly one day, to burn every single curve into his mind.

If she lets him.

But he felt she will. He didn't know her at all, but he felt they will be together for a long time to come.

And in all of this time, he will be exploring her.

The land of love might be a terrifying place to be at, but he will be a brave explorer.

The woman in front of him squirmed slightly and then a tiny smirk curved her lips.

She opened one eye and the smirk melted into a smile.

"Good morning."

I don't like writing long oneshots, so it was hard to find a "plot" for this one... that's why it ended up so... odd.

Love, courage and new beginnings,

Moya
